The…read morelast time we visited, the service was extremely slow, and our food sat under the heat lamp while a steak was being finished. It was such a frustrating experience that we hadn't been back since. On a whim, we decided to try again and unfortunately, while there were some positives, it only reiterated why we hadn't been back. I used the button to let them know we were ready to be seated, and our server was very nice. However, it took quite a while for our food to come out. Like so ling that even my husband mentioned it and he is usually the chill one. We ordered a Western burger, garlic mashed potatoes, kids grilled cheese and a kids' burger meal, and then received the wrong kids' meal. To their credit, they did remake it and bring out the correct kids meal. The kids' grilled cheese bread was perfectly done but paying $10 for what was a Kraft American cheese single was a little funny. At that price point, I'd really love to see actual cheese used. Our burger was good, but the fries were a disappointment. We ordered the shoestring fries, and there just weren't very many for any of the dishes. Honestly, you get more fries at In-N-Out. The garlic mashed potatoes were also not a favorite. They had way too much fennel and pepper, which completely overpowered the potatoes. The consistency was good but almost unedible. Overall, I'm glad we gave the restaurant another chance, and there were definitely some positives, especially our friendly server and the burger. But after five years away, I was hoping for a much better experience but will not be back.

It's quiet inside with a few tables to dine. Of course with me being a "Saucey" girl, I was so excited to have some enchilada sauce with my chimichanga combo.! Thick, with nice flavor too!

Commonly referenced as "Mendoza's," this establishment serves a variety of Mexican food…read more First thing to know: CASH ONLY! They serve a variety of typical tacos and burritos, and sell menudo on weekends. For a small town, it's not a bad place to go but food is slightly greasier than the place next door. For burritos, the Arizona burrito is a pretty decent option. The burritos could have more filling in them, which was disappointing because I usually expect fatty burritos kind of "bursting at the seams". I wasn't a fan of the chimichanga because it was kind of bland in flavor and they only give you a fork to eat it with. It'd be nice to see them sell burritos with some more veggies. They do have a nice red spicy salsa in containers, ready to-go. At this moment they don't have dine-in options and only have one table outside. Be sure to bring plenty of wipes and rags because it didn't seem like anyone was making sure the table was clean. You can call in your order or order when you get there. It says they're supposed to be open 24/7, however there have been a few times we've driven pass and noticed it was closed. The one thing I would really recommend is that their employees make sure to keep their masks on the entire time. The person out front had a mask on for a bit, would pull it down to talk on the phone, and then keep the mask below her chin for the next 10-20 minutes while she was putting orders together and placing utensils and napkins in bags...and this happened each time I've been there...

Be sure to check out their Facebook page because it gives you the most up-to-date info on their hours, specials, and if they're closed because of emergencies. You can still order online and they've removed their burritos, which were delicious. I still love ordering tacos from here and they've started selling skewers of barbecued marinated pork, which is a big thing in Filipino cooking. It's super tasty!! Be sure to order a couple the next time you're here! They continue to sell Filipino food and if you've never had it, it's a pretty good option if you're wanting an easy introduction to Filipino cuisine. If you're big into noodles, be sure to order the "bihon," which is an order of thin stir fried noodles with meat and mixture of veggies, commonly carrots, cabbage, and onions. Each family has their own unique recipe, so it's always slightly different depending on where you're eating. No two pancit bihon dishes are ever the same, but still usually always delicious :) Unless you have plenty of time, I highly recommend ordering online so you can pick up your order without waiting. You can pick it up inside, at their drive through, and I've seen an employee bring it out curbside once, so just call and ask. A flight of 4 samples will also cost you $5. They also serve moscow mules and other speciality cocktails. Single Jack has two menus, where a majority of the options are themed around mining. They have classic options like pasta, burgers, wings, and sandwiches. They also serve enchiladas, tacos, nachos, and some other classic bar foods. If you want something more substantial, there are steak options. When I went to this restaurant, we all ordered the Boss's Burger, which is a homemade beef patty with onions and jalapenos mixed in. It comes with classic toppings on the side, free cheese options, and 2 free extra sides. Any addition toppings will cost $1/topping. It then comes with either french fries or curly fries. I chose the Boss's Burger with pepper jack cheese, bacon and guacamole with curly fries. They give a substantial amount of curly fries with the burger and garlic aioli on the side. The patty was large, cooked well-done, and slightly dry. Service was a little slow, but there was only one waitress. If you have plenty of time and want to grab some beers and food with friends, this is a great option for you!

The non-review review…read more.... Well, unfortunately, I only made it to the bathroom and I understand the restaurant is from 1966 and I love old things, however, this establishment was not a good fit for me. I happen to love old things; I love old Antiques, I love the old ways, I love old places , but when it comes to eating, I guess I'm a little on the picky side. Unfortunately, I didn't even make it to the booth or table because when I walked in, I walked right by a server who was sitting down at the counter which I was really excited about, I wanted to sit there because it reminded me of when my dad would take me out to the local Walgreens (or sandwich place) and we would get a little bite to eat and a sundae in a sundae glass!! Granted it is the lull of the day for a Saturday, but I was ignored and then I tried to get the attention of the guy behind the counter by walking straight past the server (whom I thought may have been off shift) but he also ignored me??? I'm not sure maybe he has a hearing impairment? I said, "excuse me " a couple of times and that's when the server Finally said she could help me. I have a sibling who is Deaf - I also know sign language so I'm not judging, I was just puzzled because I was completely ignored. It was very quiet by this time. The server who was sitting down on her phone maybe doing paperwork then turned to me to help. I asked if they were closed, thinking maybe I was too late since they were no hours posted on the door ? By this time, I had already driven over an hour or so to get here so a quick bathroom break was needed. I had seen another review that was positive online so I thought I would give it a try for a burger and some fries - pretty simple order. After going to the bathroom first and seeing the condition of the bathroom, I just decided it was not for me. I think I'm overly picky when it comes to restaurants, so I'm sure it's just me. For the first time, I decided not to take a chance and I'm seeking elsewhere to find a burger locally! I will say there were plenty of people that were here when I arrived, and they seemed happy, I just think I'm going to pass on this experience.
