Immediately walking in, I like it. It's really big in here and it's quite cozy. If you ask me probably a perfect place to watch sports. They have a huge screen TV at the back of the restaurant and a nice large bar, as well as the seating area. high tops as well as regular tables. This place is really big inside! Seems really perfect for a lot of people and all the staff seem happy. The server who took care of me as I walked inside was really nice. I didn't want to sit at the table that she chose and she gladly allowed me to sit wherever I wanted to. I'm not in a rush so I sat over towards the wall where I could see the TV screens. One of the things that I really like is they have condiments at each of the tables, which was convenient. I chose the fresh hand cut fries and I've been really wanting fresh zucchini, Amber assured me that it was Hand-battered and fresh so I'm hoping that that will be good. It's really comfortable in here and cool. Nice music, perfect volume. I'm so tempted to have a cocktail, but I'm not sure. The zucchini came out super fast and super hot! You can absolutely tell that they were just hand-battered and fresh. I like all the little crispies too. The zucchini is really hot and a very light breading. It's really hard nowadays to find like fresh fried zucchini. I really liked it! The ranch is good too! There's a whole vibe in here and it's really positive!! The staff was attentive to people walking in, it was really nice to see considering my experience 30 minutes prior. I like the amount of veggies on the burger,Lots of fries. I got a lunch special, it was a great deal with my drink included. Amber took care of me and she was very attentive, friendly and shared a little bit of history with me. Servers matter. She took great care of me! She informed me this building was a Golden Corral where the current owner worked in his youth, later buying the building and turning it into JDs Grill. This visit was a win, definitely giving it a thumbs up and I am excited to come back and try their bone-in Wings! They do have happy hour specials and I absolutely do recommend the fried zucchini! The outside Sitting area seems nice, but I think I'll wait until it cools down to visit out there! We were seated right away and our server was attentive to our needs. Our meals came with one trip to the salad bar. The items on the salad bar were fresh and the space clean. We ordered a combo appetizer, mostly breaded and fried, but I thought they were yummy. My favorites were the mushrooms and the cheese curds. Our meals came out shortly after we got the appetizer. Our server apologized for it, but I know she has no control over the kitchen. My shrimp meal was delicious. Six large shrimp, nicely seasoned. Their sides are all carb heavy, but the meals come with green beans, so they gave me double green beans instead of another side. My husband said his chicken tenders weren't very crispy. He also had a baked potato and the green beans. The restaurant had several tv's, including a large one on one end of the room. Tables were spaced apart. read more

We stopped here for a family dinner. Everything was great. They put tables together. We were able to fit. At least 14 of us. Service was incredible. Totally kept us filled. Gracious food was incredible. Everything came out out in a timely fashion and we just had a great time. read more

This was my third time being here, and the third time the kitchen magically "lost my ticket" after waiting over 30 minutes so I cannot give a review on the food. If you're ever in town and you're looking for a spot to grub at, this is the spot to go, no kidding. The wings here are off the hook! A friend of mine got a pizza with bbq chicken and other toppings and that was delicious! But the best part was the service. The girls there were fast, friendly, on point and they hustled! Very, very, very good burgers and fries. I chose the western and hand cut fries. Those fries were like liquid gold. Super yummy and fresh. The burger was lip smacking delicious. To top it off, our server was super sweet and down to earth. She was very helpful and offered lots of advice and was thorough with the best food off the menu. Firstly, the food was absolutely amazing. We had appetizers, burgers and wings. Everything was 100 percent cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. The service was completely phenomenal and they were on top of their game for a group of tired workers who came in for a post work meal. None of us live in thatcher as we are based out of Tucson. But we work in Safford/Thatcher/Pima fairly often. Terrible service every time we come here. The food is good, if you're willing to wait over an hour or more for your food. While we waited for our food, I counted 6 tables that were served their food before us, despite us arriving much sooner than the other guests. We waited patiently with two small children, and were served drinks when we first sat down and never checked on for refills or to apologize for the length of our wait. We ended up leaving. Great food and great service. We got some hotwings, drinks, a top sirloin and chicken tenders. All the food was great, even better than the steakhouse down the road. Jd Burger for lunch was horrible are service was not very good. We ordered burgers and fresh cut fries.The fries on my daughters and her husband's plate were burnt brown and hard but they were cold. She asked for crisp bacon and got raw bacon . My husband's burger was burnt black . We both ordered the 6 Oz sirloin. It turned out to be like a rib. Service was horrible. We received our plates, we asked the waitress if that was the 6 Oz. She responded yes. We then told her we didn't want it. The steak was burnt, ordered medium well. Couldn't even cit it with fork. Manager came over to our table and we showed him plate. He agreed it was not right. He never once apologized or tried to correct order. I felt as being only mexican Americans in the place we were discriminated. We then paid tab for 3 beers we drank. We left and went to Branding Iron steakhouse. Wow what a difference. Everything from customer service to our plate. I will never step foot in that establishment again. I recommend Branding Iron. As you can see in the pics ordered same steak from both restaurants and we'll you can see for yourself. JD's customer service and food are horrible.
