This is for today only and for today's server. There were three people at the bar when we arrived and a table of six she was the only one serving. It took 15 minutes for her to even acknowledge us most of the time she was at the end of the bar with her back turned to us on her phone when she finally came to us to ask us "what do you want" we ordered Kettle One vodka on ice with a splash of cranberry juice and soda and lime, the Kettle One she didn't even know what it was. We had to point it out to her then we saw that there was only like an eighth in the bottle and asked her if she had more in the back. It took her a while to think about it and she said that she did not have the key to get into the alcohol vault. So instead, we ordered Tito's. Again, she did not know what it was, and we had to show her where it was at. When she made our drinks, she did not put cranberry juice in it. She put a cherry in it. We had to wait another 10 minutes or so for her to acknowledge us again to add the cranberry juice. We ordered a pretzel as well we figured because we've ordered pretzels before it takes at least 30 minutes or so so we didn't have a problem waiting for that because the pretzels there are awesome. However, 45 minutes later we asked her is the pretzel ready yet and she says oh no we don't have pretzels today. I understand that this is new ownership, however There are some training issues happening here and some language barriers. I always say stay ready so you don't have to get ready. If it's the goal to run both the restaurant and the bar efficiently, I think consistent training and a positive welcoming attitude really make a big difference just something to keep in mind as things move forward. read more

It was inedible, cooked a day previously, served semi warm, couldn't cut it hardly at all, very difficult to chew and mostly fat and gristle.Very disappointing! I complained to my server, she sent management to our table and she offered a 35% discount! Should have been no charge! The meal came with slaw, no flavor! We ordered fries which were excellent! Have to update that I was finally able to try the pulled pork sandwich and it alone is worth 5 stars. The bun was soft yet crispy edges served with Cole slaw and your sauce options. I picked the Carolina style... sooo good and their ranch dressing is authentic, thick and cold. Soo good. My dad had the the fish sandwich and devoured it. He was annoyed at first about it having onions on it without saying it on the menu but they were big enough to pull off. Service was adequate but not timely. Just left after NFL game so we were there for 3hrs. Our "server" had to be flagged to order. She then ignored us for 2 hrs after we finally got our food, never clearing dishes, glaring at us when we asked her to, never stopped to see if we needed anything. We had to flag another server for our bill. When our server brought it, she then asked if we needed anything. When we said you ignored us for hours while walking by dozens of times she snapped "I'm busy". The floors were sticky and dirty. Overheard a server comment they weren't cleaned last night. The Garage is formerly Coach's. The best way I can articulate the experience is organized chaos. While the establishment was busy, it appears that they only had two waitresses working for the entire inside/outside area with no bussers. This leads to big issues. First, our table was dirty. Regardless of the name of the restaurant, as a place that serves food, it should be clean. Not cleaning tables after others leave is a huge turnoff. When this occurs, my first thought is, what does the food prep area look like? I hate being disparaging, but our waitress was inept in not knowing beer products that are served there, forgetting side items, forgetting silverware, and when the silverware does come, saying, "I hate folding silverware, sorry". Also, when a customer orders an appetizer, bring it out as such instead of having all the food come out at once. While The Garage has a steady stream of customers with apartments as neighbors, this was a one-and-done for me. I worked in the restaurant industry for over a decade and understand the issues, but this was a bad experience. On a positive note, the brisket, although lukewarm, had a pleasant taste. read more

My wife and I were in town for business and we stopped here for dinner as it was close to up our hotel. it is a very loud place during Sunday Night Football. The place wasn't all that busy, but for whatever reason the people seated at the bar needed to talk as loud as they could. but, we went for the food and it did not disappoint. I had the Ruben, according to the menu, Seth's Favorite. it was packed with meat and served with an abundance of fries. My wife had the Smashburger and it came with 2 patties and she upgraded to sweet potato fries. So, if you're going for the food, you'll be happy. if your going for the ambience, and you don't mind screaming at the people at your table to carry on a conversation, you'll be fine. My husband and I decided to try The Garage for dinner the other night and we ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer. They were tasty and the ranch was really good. For our entrees my husband ordered a Reuben and I got a fish sandwich with sweet potato fries. They were out of all of the smoked meats except chicken which was a little disappointing to my husband. The sweet potato fries were really good as well. I was not impressed with the fish sandwich. I was surprised to see it on a hoagie roll with a small piece of fish that had everything on the side. The tartar sauce tasted of horseradish which I'm not a fan of. It was pretty loud in there so I had to move and sit with my husband so we could hear each other. What happened to this place!!!??? Went there Sunday Oct. 12th 2025 for supper around 5 to watch football. This place used to be packed on football days. Not Sunday! Maybe 10 people, kids running all over. Menu was given to us in pieces. Terrible menu! When a bar can't make a bloody Mary properly, you know you're in the wrong place. Came here on St Patrick's Day & it was a celebration! Live band outside on the patio-with open garage doors so we could hear the music. We started coming here 3 years ago during the winter months that we stay in Tucson. We would reserve ribs on Thursdays when they smoked them. Best ribs with being tender and smoked. The service was excellent and the owner then was so awesome. Now Jan 2026 we called to see if there ribs were still on Thursday and were told they now have them every night. We decided to go on Jan 24th a Saturday at 4:00 pm. Tried to order ribs and were told they were out but had rib tips only. The server was a teenager who knew nothing about the menu or the beers on tap. The service was horrible as we had to go find silverware and ketchup but were told they were out of ketchup. Are you kidding me!! As a previous restaurant owner that catered to our customers i am shocked that any owner would let this happen and except customers to come back. All the tables were dirty and the floors. Who ever is the new owner of The Garage needs to be present here or your business is going to shut down. We will not be back. read more

Definitely a new revamped "Coach's"! The new owners are definitely invested in creating a new and fun place for the Green Valley/Sahuarita area. They kept the old staff which still make customers a priority. The food is great and they also have new BarBQ affair which they smoke in front of the Restraunt and bar. The owners are attentative and listen to customer feedback. They continue to make changes for the better and definitely are enhancing the environment! First of all, the place was packed when we arrived - probably a good sign. We seated ourselves since no one greeted us at the door. Good place to watch a game since they have multiple TV screens on. We ordered a slab of ribs and was really looking forward to it as hubby and I like 'em alot. Food took quite awhile to come but I give them slack since there were only 3 servers for a room full of people, one guy at the bar and one other lady who appears to roam around the room. Ribs were dark and crusty, slathered with sauce on top. I love burnt end pieces but this was singed, dry and bitter. We were hopeful as we dug in the middle but it was apparent soon enough that it wasn't what we expected. Meat was dry, not tender at all and hardly the smoked ribs we are used to at other bbq places. It was overdone or perhaps left too long in the smoker. The sides were what we thought were sweet potatoes but was actually carrots plus 2 round pieces of brown bread - difficult to know what it was supposed to be. It was also served with cole slaw but it was really bland. What a bummer! Lessons learned to stick with bbq or smoked ribs at places that specialize in it- definitely not here. We took home lots of leftover meat which I might be able to salvage as pulled pork after trimming off the burnt bits. Will we return? Maybe but skip the ribs. Maybe other items in the menu will be better. read more

Oh, how I wished to adore this place! The location is charming, with stunning mountain views and a lovely ambiance. Unfortunately, the food and service were disappointing. I opted for the taco salad bowl while my husband chose the chicken sandwich. His sandwich arrived with wilted lettuce, mediocre sourdough bread, and only a few fries. My bowl contained chicken, old lettuce, and black beans, lacking onions, veggies, or any extras. The waitress seemed overwhelmed with numerous tables to attend to. We arrived at 5 PM and left two hours later due to the lengthy wait for our food. I might give it another chance, perhaps to enjoy live music or try the BBQ, but I won't order food there again. I have been trying to love this place for over a year, hoping it would get better. I have finally given up. The food is not palatable, soggy salads, no healthy options, very inconsistent food. Their wine selection is horrendous, their house wine literally tastes like gasoline. I've been going to trivia there for a year and tonight was the worst. It was disorganized clearly put together at the last moment. The last straw was when I bit into the maraschino cherry in my old-fashioned and it tasted like fish.
