We had a great experience. The food and service ( Maria) were excellent. We ordered double patty smash burger it was a great price for $12 it came with grilled onions, red onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and a side of fries. The burger was super juicy and the fries were crisp. Everything was hot and right off grill. My husband ordered beef brisket which was amazing! We haven't had brisket like that since We were in Tennessee. It had a delicious smoky flavor. The house salad was excellent. The tables are decorated with tool boxes and garage work light and the restaurant has garage doors that open up and let in fresh air. I would highly recommend this place. Live college and professional football games. I can't believe that yelp has a 3.2 rating for this place but other reviews are above 4.0. read more

We met the in laws here getting into town from phoenix. I was suspect at first. Checked the menu out and went with the bbq. We live in an area that has one of the best bbq joints around and is constantly packed all the time. Figured well I'd give this bbq a try. I was not disappointed! First the price is more than reasonable for what you get. I got brisket and the sausage and was blown away at the amount of food and quality for $20. The brisket was moist and the sausage was spot on. The baked beans were fantastic and the coleslaw was perfect! I have been smoking for 23 years and was really impressed with this place. Took almost 45 minutes to get two simple sandwiches, the only kind they sell, once ordered. The place was not full of people either. My lemonade was weak and had very little lemon flavor to it. Ordered Philly Cheese Steak and the onions on it were RAW. Never had one before that the onions were not grilled/sautéed. The server when asked, said he also had never had one with raw onions before in his life and couldn't understand why mine was fixed that way? I don't care for raw onions. Picked most of them off and ate the sandwich, as I was hungry, especially after having to wait so long to get it. The person I was with ordered sweet potato fries with their sandwich and got fried cheese tots/puffs instead. Upon realizing the mistake the server offered to bring them the fries. They were finally brought to the table when we were finished eating and ready for the check. Obviously, didn't need them then and took them home in a doggie box. After waiting an excessive amount of time just to get our food and with the other problems, I highly doubt I/we will ever be returning to this establishment. Opted to give The Garage a try today after having read a positive review on Next Door! There is nothing appealing about this place! We opted for outdoor dining with our canine companions. The outdoor patio is most un-noteworthy! Looks like they just threw some miscellaneous chairs and tables outside with no real theme - maybe a basement! Opted to order the Beef Brisket and onion rings. It came served on a very small rectangular metallic "mess hall"-like plate maybe 4"x6". It looked like someone had just barfed the meat on that plate! The onion rings were luke warm and the meat was cold! The only saving grace was that they had our favorite beer on tap - Blue Moon. But once was enough to experience this place! I chose to leave my review here rather than Google so I hopefully wouldn't be abused by the obviously unprofessional (putting it kindly) owner who personally attacks honest negative reviews of his restaurant. Sadly, even if we thoroughly enjoyed his establishment (which we did not), I wouldn't go back simply based on his comments about his patrons including that they need dental work & even going so far as to track down (aka stalk) a young 20-something reviewer to call out where she worked & give her full name. Appalling. Anyway, on to the review. We (my bf & I) went the 1st time & it was actually ok ... food was decent & server sweet & attentive. We went again a couple weeks later ... service was horrible (& it was empty), food portions much smaller & beer was warm. Ok, everyone has an off day. We went again for lunch a week later. Even worse. Horrible service, beer was warm & flat & the chef salad had actual lunch meat in it ... lunch meat, as in the thin processed Oscar Mayer lunch meat. We decided ok, that's enough ... We've been twice. First was carryout. Beef brisket, slaw and cowboy beans. All were very good. The brisket was sliced a little thin for me...it would've been perfect on a sandwich. Creamy slaw was very good. The star performer were the beans! Delicious!! A few days later, a small group of us went for lunch. We all had the pulled pork. It was good too...I prefer the brisket though. Beans and slaw...delicious. Service was good...friendly. Definitely a welcome change from the four Mexican restaurants in Green Valley. read more

I need to update a review I wrote a couple months ago as it was our first time to visit the restaurant after it transitioned from Coach's to The Garage. Our experience was top-notch that time. We took a couple friends there tonight and it was a two-star experience, at best. I'm not sure what's happened; but service was spotty, the smash-burgers weren't good and the fries were soggy/under-done. I doubt we'll go back; but your experience may be the complete opposite. read more

We went last night for dinner. I made reservations for 5pm. When we got there the young man couldn't find our table. You could tell he was having a bad night and was very rude. Finally, they setup a table for us and we sat down and ordered our food. 6 of us. An hour and a half later our food arrived !!! They also told us they were out of fries. It's a garage with a bar and tv sets, Miss matched chairs and tables, concrete floors, and garage doors open to outdoor seating. Noisy inside, outdoor seating is quieter and good Mountain View. The food was alright. Burgers were a little over cooked, made the patty dry. We all ordered onion rings and I suspect the fry basket was overfilled, the onion rings were greasy. Too bad because they had a good flavor. Brisket sandwich was very good and variety of sauces on the table. Service was a little slow, it was Friday night and a good crowd was seated. Looked like a good selection of beers. They had run out of breaded mushrooms at 6pm on a Friday, so I think the kitchen has inexperienced managers. Went in to get food to go. Slow Saturday afternoon, may 20 customers. Took 10 minutes to be recognized by a bartender to get offered a menu and order a drink. Ordered a draft, pretzel and a order of wings to go. 45 minutes after ordering and an empty beer. Asked a gentleman if he was the manager and he replied he was. Told him about the wait and asked when I would get my food. He checked said it would be a few minutes, he apologized for the wait and said it was inexcusable. 5 minutes later, I received my to go order and was presented the check (no discount). I just went for lunch and sat on the patio. It's a nice day and I smoke. I was hoping to enjoy their food but after twenty minutes waiting for service I left. This is not the first time the service is lacking. Today was my fourth visit under new management. The first time was for a couple of beers which required two trips from the patio to the bar, self-service was fine in that situation. Next trip was for dinner. Self-service was required for a couple of beers and a menu, no-one showed up to take an order. My third trip I got a beer and menu from the bartender and let the wait staff know I'd be ready to order in ten minutes. I ended being waited on by the bartender. I appreciated that and decided to come back the next day, which leads me to today. I'm wearing a bright orange shirt and no wait staff came to the patio to take my order, which sucks for me because I really like the food there. After twenty minutes of waiting I left. As I was on my way out, I passed one of the two wait staff who was serving a table that just arrived. I let them know about my wait and that I would not be returning. Here's my score. One star for the theme. Garage doors on a bar is brilliant for this area. Warm days in the cold months and beautiful nights during some, I said some, of the hotter months allows for an open atmosphere. The view of the mountains from there is amazing and the garage doors lets that be seen with a beer in your hand. One star for the food, which I wish it was easier to get. One star for the new owners taking a gamble and investing in this business. You have a good thing going and I hope you make it great. My total is three. Unfortunately I can't go further.
