Food is descent, ambience is nice. It seems all of Wilcox converge to it on the weekends.

The table we were seated at was very dirty not cleaned prior. The margaritas were terrible not worth it al, consisted of just syrup. The service was poor with heavy wait time for everything. Nonetheless the water had foreign objects in all our parties water glasses and silverware had mustard stain on them. Never again this was awful to say the least. read more

We stopped for late lunch and the place was actually hard to find since we saw no sign. Glad we stopped since the service was great and food was good (Kylie S). My boyfriend and I came to Willcox for the weekend. We are from out of town and had such a great time here. The town has the sweetest and most generous people! Double S Steakhouse has INCREDIBLE food and service. The steaks are delicious, although everything on the menu is terrific! The restaurant is such a cute spot right in town. We spent the day at nearby Chiricahua National Monument, so this was a nice place to stop for a bite to eat on the way home. Wilcox seems pretty small and the choices are limited. Double S Steakhouse had good reviews so we thought we would give it a try. The outside is unimposing, and had I not known it was a restaurant I probably would have missed it, as it's tucked below the Texaco on the side of a hill on a small triangle of land. The inside is clean and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly. I had the petite filet, which had a nice flavor and was cooked well. I forgot to look at how many ounces it was, so I was a little surprised at the small size, but it turned out to be just the perfect portion for lunch. The green beans were seasoned well. The salad bar was fresh and had a nice assortment of toppings. I would definitely return if I were in the area. read more

I stopped here with my mom for a late lunch during a road trip. After seeing the reviews we were excited to try it, but then we pulled up and we're a little questionable. Do NOT judge this book by its cover, folks. The inside was beautiful and clean, and the staff was very attentive and kind. We got the brisket & vegetable stew (special of the day) with a salad from the salad bar and it was absolutely out of this world. And of course, who can beat freshly brewed sweet tea?! AND it's owned by two sisters in honor of their late father which just makes it all the better. A little taste of home with cooking just like my mom's. Table was dirty, even after the waitress cleaned it, stains were all over. Silverware was brought out after food arrived and was dirty and unusable. Weren't able to drink waters given to us as black particles were floating in the glass. Margaritas were filled with syrup, hard to get down. No covid precautions AT ALL. Do not recommend coming here, ESPECIALLY when cleanliness should be a top priority during the pandemic. read more

I was staying in Wilcox for business. I chose the restaurant, because it was close to where I was staying. I ordered local wine and the petite fillet. I was asked how I wanted the steak cooked and asked whether the temps are accurate. The server said they were pretty close so I ordered my fillet medium rare and that's exactly what I got. The steak was tender and well prepared. The service was great and I couldn't have been more pleased. If passing through or staying give this place a try! So good! Really nice service from the moment we entered the place. Very attentive despite them being extremely busy. We ordered 2 burgers, a rib eye steak and some Mac and cheese for kiddo. Everything was perfectly seasoned, and perfectly cooked to temperatures we ordered. The burgers had a nice char on them and pink center for MR. Ribeye was well marbled and flavorful, but not fatty. Thick and tender and nicely seasoned. I don't know how they deliver this quality at these prices. We paid $60 for four of us with sodas and this should have cost more like $100 based on quality of the meal. The only very minor complaint was the salad bar which was picked over and sad looking, but that was because we came at the end of a busy dinner service. Otherwise, this was an exceptional steak and burger place. (HINT: Ask for steak fries they aren't on menu as side option but our server hooked us up and they were really tasty) Highly recommend. read more

Will give this place zero star. They serve Asians last. There were 2 tables that came after we got seated. We ordered early, their orders came first, they had their meal & left & we still didn't get our order. Am glad we opted to get the salad bar as one of our side order or we would have passed out starving from our long drive from California. I had to go up front to ask what happened to our order, our waitress said they were busy. I said you serve 2 tables that came after us. One table has eaten about to leave, the second table were eating & we still haven't gotten our order. So I told her that we are just taking our order home. She gave us the bill to pay & we still had to wait another 15 minutes to finally get our order to take home. Never coming back to this place. We paid cash & even tipped them even though their service was poor. The waitress sent a young man to apologize for her. It took a total of 1 hour & 45 minutes to get our order. When we got to our hotel, they didn't send us any disposable cutlery & had one of the order wrong. Hope they learn better customer service & not cater to only a few. Quaint, clean, and cozy. Service was fast and friendly. The food was FRESH and delicious. Nothing frozen, no heat and eat here! You can taste the difference. We ate hear based on the recommendation of the hotel desk clerk. We can't say enough good about this restaurant. The owner waited on us and was so kind. She also told us about the community of Willcox with wine tours and pecans and pistachios. We had the best hamburger we have had in our life there. Plus they brought us a sample of their brisket. From the minute you step in to this quaint restaurants you know The owners take pride in it. The western motif compliments the old west history of this area. You're greeted at the door by one of the family who explains the unique menu to you. Nought your general run-of-the-mill country Café. Things like the salmon burger, pork sliders, and open face burger with beans were all outstanding! We will certainly come back the next time we are in Willcox. read more

Was expecting more from a steak house. I could tell from just cutting into my steak that it wasn't the most tender. The mashed potatoes were good but heavy on the pepper. The fried okra was tasty but no dipping sauce. Overall a good meal but wish the steak was better quality. read more

So delicious!!! Steak doesn't need any extra seasoning, burgers are amazing, they definitely know how to cook a burger medium rare or however you like it. Amazing sweet potato fries. I ordered a veggie burger for &11.99. They are out-of-veggie burgers. Waitress, holding a menu, says they have chicken. So I order that. What she failed to mention is this piece of chicken, similar to a cordon bleu, was $24.99. When my chicken arrived it was the only thing on the plate, no sides. Such a neat place & friendly staff. A much better choice than the fast food places around them & easier than going into town when you're traveling down I-10. They offer a good variety of sandwiches and salads as well as lunch specials. We each had the salad bar and half a sandwich that was nearly as big as a whole one. Will definitely go back! read more

Great place with friendly efficient service above what you might expect in a small town. Had a great mushroom burger and filet with solid baked potatoes and salad bar. Wow! What a surprise to find this restaurant here along the interstate ! Once you walk they the door, you are taken back by the perfect ranch house decor. Friendly staff greets you ! The owner ,Sherydan, is a beautiful lady that talks with the customers and is so helpful about the area. Her daughter Maddy knows her stuff. Great waitress ! The food is the best we've eaten in s long time. They know their meat and how to cook it. Prime... no antibiotics, no steroids , grass fed from a ranch in Utah. She cuts her own meat so she knows the size and freshness of the meat. Beautiful , fresh salad bar. And the carrot cake is worth the calories. Full bar. Clean restrooms. My boyfriend and I stopped here after reading the positive Yelp reviews and they were right! The place opened a few months ago and you can tell everything is fresh and new - especially the super cute decor! We both got burgers and the meat was fresh and had great flavor. My boyfriend got a few of the sides - fried okra and macaroni and cheese. They followed suit and were fresh and great tasting (and he's not easy to please!). Will definitely be making this our regular stop next time we are in Willcox! read more

Double S has a very homey feel. You feel the country vibes as soon as you walk in the door - Iced tea in mason jars, blue jeans, and big tables. With an abundant Rancher population in the area this steak house aims to please that exact audience. Real good steak for the people who raise the cattle themselves. Wow! We found a hidden gem traveling home from Phoenix to Texas! We ordered cheeseburgers cooked medium, one with the sweet potato fries and one with steak fries.....they were cooked to perfection, seasoned perfect and had fresh lettuce, tomatoes and red onion on the side to add as you please and a pickle spear......wonderful! This will be a regular stop for us when we make this trip!!! read more
