We were passing through Wilcox and not that hungry, so we popped in for an early dinner to Double S Steakhouse. I LOVED the Brussels sprouts. My mom had a turkey bacon sandwich that was out of this world. The staff is so friendly. We loved the vibe here. And I guess I have a twin names AMANDA in Wilcox who is a police officer. Thanks for a great experience. read more

Great little steakhouse! Awesome food and great service! Stop by if you're passing through!

OK, who would expect a city-style steakhouse off the freeway in Wilcox AZ, next to a gas station? No one, that's who. That's why going there is so cool. Order what you want, it's all good. Plus, if you sit outside in the patio you can ask the waitress to tune the TV to whatever you want. Bonus! read more

Stopped in for lunch on our way from El Paso to Phoenix. Super clean, extremely friendly, and the food was amazing! Highly suggest as a nice lunch break from driving! read more

Arrived st 5, waited 30 minutes to be seated. at 6:21 had not seen a waitress. we were told we could not place an order til 7!! No one acknowledged us! Left restaurant and ! will never be back!! read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. Waitress was very slow and went around our table to check on everyone else. Appetizer took 30+ min and was not worth the price. Burger had no flavor, fries were flimsy and soggy. Took forever for drink refills. Overall, you'd probably get better food at the gas station next door. Will not be back. read more

Excellent prime rib, steaks and hamburgers, Family of three tried all three and loved all three. Will definitely be back when we are in the Wilcox area. read more

Food is descent, ambience is nice. It seems all of Wilcox converge to it on the weekends.

The table we were seated at was very dirty not cleaned prior. The margaritas were terrible not worth it al, consisted of just syrup. The service was poor with heavy wait time for everything. Nonetheless the water had foreign objects in all our parties water glasses and silverware had mustard stain on them. Never again this was awful to say the least. read more

We stopped for late lunch and the place was actually hard to find since we saw no sign. Glad we stopped since the service was great and food was good (Kylie S). They had an unexpected rush and one of the patrons (said she used to work there) stepped in, bussed some tables and took our order. Very friendly place. read more

Great food and friendly service! Just driving through town and looked up a place to grab lunch. We were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. read more

We've been looking for another option in Willcox, where the food choices are really limited...and we've found it. Great service, easy going atmosphere, salad bar, and the meat on my Prime Rib French Dip was melt in my mouth good. Give them a try. You won't be sorry! read more

I would have stayed another day in Wilcox just to eat here again. The sautéed brussel sprouts were amazing. Cute and clean place. Couldn't recommend it more! read more

This place is awesome! We really never stopped in Wilcox on our travels back-and-forth from Texas, but after eating at the steakhouse... This will be a Destiination for us from here on out. Food was great, BERGER selection was off the charts! Service was outstanding. read more

My boyfriend and I came to Willcox for the weekend. We are from out of town and had such a great time here. The town has the sweetest and most generous people! Double S Steakhouse has INCREDIBLE food and service. The steaks are delicious, although everything on the menu is terrific! The restaurant is such a cute spot right in town. The owners of Double S are the nicest people! I HIGHLY recommend eating here. I am looking forward to coming back and eating here! read more

We spent the day at nearby Chiricahua National Monument, so this was a nice place to stop for a bite to eat on the way home. Wilcox seems pretty small and the choices are limited. Double S Steakhouse had good reviews so we thought we would give it a try. The outside is unimposing, and had I not known it was a restaurant I probably would have missed it, as it's tucked below the Texaco on the side of a hill on a small triangle of land. The inside is clean and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly. I had the petite filet, which had a nice flavor and was cooked well. I forgot to look at how many ounces it was, so I was a little surprised at the small size, but it turned out to be just the perfect portion for lunch. The green beans were seasoned well. The salad bar was fresh and had a nice assortment of toppings. I would definitely return if I were in the area. read more

I stopped here with my mom for a late lunch during a road trip. After seeing the reviews we were excited to try it, but then we pulled up and we're a little questionable. Do NOT judge this book by its cover, folks. The inside was beautiful and clean, and the staff was very attentive and kind. We got the brisket & vegetable stew (special of the day) with a salad from the salad bar and it was absolutely out of this world. And of course, who can beat freshly brewed sweet tea?! AND it's owned by two sisters in honor of their late father which just makes it all the better. A little taste of home with cooking just like my mom's. I absolutely loved it, if I am ever back in Wilcox I will certainly be returning. read more

I was staying in Wilcox for business. I chose the restaurant, because it was close to where I was staying. I ordered local wine and the petite fillet. I was asked how I wanted the steak cooked and asked whether the temps are accurate. The server said they were pretty close so I ordered my fillet medium rare and that's exactly what I got. The steak was tender and well prepared. The service was great and I couldn't have been more pleased. If passing through or staying give this place a try! Food is great, price is right and the staff friendly and accommodating! read more

Table was dirty, even after the waitress cleaned it, stains were all over. Silverware was brought out after food arrived and was dirty and unusable. Weren't able to drink waters given to us as black particles were floating in the glass. Margaritas were filled with syrup, hard to get down. No covid precautions AT ALL. Do not recommend coming here, ESPECIALLY when cleanliness should be a top priority during the pandemic. read more

A must stop on any drive thru this neck of the woods! Buffalo chicken sandwich on Texas toast was perfect spicy. Great salad bar. Uncle has the steak sandwich and ate every last bite. Only wished we would've left room for one of their homemade desserts! Next time read more

Everything was very good-fried green beans, salad bar, ribeye, and stuff bacon wrapped chicken.

So good! Really nice service from the moment we entered the place. Very attentive despite them being extremely busy. We ordered 2 burgers, a rib eye steak and some Mac and cheese for kiddo. Everything was perfectly seasoned, and perfectly cooked to temperatures we ordered. The burgers had a nice char on them and pink center for MR. Ribeye was well marbled and flavorful, but not fatty. Thick and tender and nicely seasoned. I don't know how they deliver this quality at these prices. We paid $60 for four of us with sodas and this should have cost more like $100 based on quality of the meal. The only very minor complaint was the salad bar which was picked over and sad looking, but that was because we came at the end of a busy dinner service. Otherwise, this was an exceptional steak and burger place. (HINT: Ask for steak fries they aren't on menu as side option but our server hooked us up and they were really tasty) Highly recommend. read more

Really good food. We had lunch during Rex Allan days and it was packed. They still sat us quickly and I didn't really take long to get our orders in and eat. Great experience overall. read more

Will give this place zero star. They serve Asians last. There were 2 tables that came after we got seated. We ordered early, their orders came first, they had their meal & left & we still didn't get our order. Am glad we opted to get the salad bar as one of our side order or we would have passed out starving from our long drive from California. I had to go up front to ask what happened to our order, our waitress said they were busy. I said you serve 2 tables that came after us. One table has eaten about to leave, the second table were eating & we still haven't gotten our order. So I told her that we are just taking our order home. She gave us the bill to pay & we still had to wait another 15 minutes to finally get our order to take home. Never coming back to this place. We paid cash & even tipped them even though their service was poor. The waitress sent a young man to apologize for her. It took a total of 1 hour & 45 minutes to get our order. When we got to our hotel, they didn't send us any disposable cutlery & had one of the order wrong. Hope they learn better customer service & not cater to only a few. I don't recommend this place. read more

Quaint, clean, and cozy. Service was fast and friendly. The food was FRESH and delicious. Nothing frozen, no heat and eat here! You can taste the difference. I had the chicken club and margarita and my husband had a sirloin. No complaints. Cocktails are also well rounded and potent! Mandatory stop along the 10. You won't be disappointed. read more

Really good food in a nice friendly environment. I love chicken fried steak, but usually the portions are ridiculously huge so I pass. But Double S had a small portion option that was perfect! And very tasty! Awesome place! read more

Had ribeye 30 dollars tough as leather small portions 190 dollars for four people not worth 40 very disappointed.

We ate hear based on the recommendation of the hotel desk clerk. We can't say enough good about this restaurant. The owner waited on us and was so kind. She also told us about the community of Willcox with wine tours and pecans and pistachios. We had the best hamburger we have had in our life there. Plus they brought us a sample of their brisket. You could pass out from eating something this good!!! read more

Super good food, sometimes they forget to put nacho cheese on my nacho fries but all in all a real good place to dine

From the minute you step in to this quaint restaurants you know The owners take pride in it. The western motif compliments the old west history of this area. You're greeted at the door by one of the family who explains the unique menu to you. Nought your general run-of-the-mill country Café. Things like the salmon burger, pork sliders, and open face burger with beans were all outstanding! We will certainly come back the next time we are in Willcox. read more

Was expecting more from a steak house. I could tell from just cutting into my steak that it wasn't the most tender. The mashed potatoes were good but heavy on the pepper. The fried okra was tasty but no dipping sauce. Overall a good meal but wish the steak was better quality. read more

Found this place on Yelp, reviews looked good so pulled off the freeway, place not too much to look at on outside but great steak, great service, reasonably priced would definitely recommend read more

So delicious!!! Steak doesn't need any extra seasoning, burgers are amazing, they definitely know how to cook a burger medium rare or however you like it. Amazing sweet potato fries. The whole table of 7 approves!!! I recommend the Steakhouse Burger and Green Chili burger. They also have a great salad bar and you can get a petit steak. 10/10 will be back!!! read more

I ordered a veggie burger for &11.99. They are out-of-veggie burgers. Waitress, holding a menu, says they have chicken. So I order that. What she failed to mention is this piece of chicken, similar to a cordon bleu, was $24.99. When my chicken arrived it was the only thing on the plate, no sides. All I can say is don't order the chicken or anything else at this restaurant. read more

Such a neat place & friendly staff. A much better choice than the fast food places around them & easier than going into town when you're traveling down I-10. They offer a good variety of sandwiches and salads as well as lunch specials. We each had the salad bar and half a sandwich that was nearly as big as a whole one. Will definitely go back! read more

Great place with friendly efficient service above what you might expect in a small town. Had a great mushroom burger and filet with solid baked potatoes and salad bar. Busy Friday night but a young host was making sure everyone got sat and knew what the wait times looked like. Any of these low star reviews form NY or CA travelers are just whining. read more

Really good food and cute atmosphere!! The steak was cooked perfect and the staff was super friendly. I will be back.

Wow! What a surprise to find this restaurant here along the interstate ! Once you walk they the door, you are taken back by the perfect ranch house decor. Friendly staff greets you ! The owner ,Sherydan, is a beautiful lady that talks with the customers and is so helpful about the area. Her daughter Maddy knows her stuff. Great waitress ! The food is the best we've eaten in s long time. They know their meat and how to cook it. Prime... no antibiotics, no steroids , grass fed from a ranch in Utah. She cuts her own meat so she knows the size and freshness of the meat. Beautiful , fresh salad bar. And the carrot cake is worth the calories. Full bar. Clean restrooms. We will definitely we stopping in again ,when ever we pass through. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped here after reading the positive Yelp reviews and they were right! The place opened a few months ago and you can tell everything is fresh and new - especially the super cute decor! We both got burgers and the meat was fresh and had great flavor. My boyfriend got a few of the sides - fried okra and macaroni and cheese. They followed suit and were fresh and great tasting (and he's not easy to please!). Will definitely be making this our regular stop next time we are in Willcox! read more
