As an added surprise, Real Taste Garden allows you to choose from an eggroll or two crab rangoons with your combo dishes. The portions were absolutely massive. The flavors were all there. This is quintessential Americanized Chinese takeout. My back is big. My stomach was full. I was incredibly happy. Service? Ambiance? Honestly, you're barking up the wrong tree if you want either of those. The absolute best Chinese takeout places have grumpy unfriendly people working, a kid doing homework at a table, no air conditioning, and the faint smell of sewage. Fortunately, we're not in NYC, so that last thing doesn't apply. I also don't think I saw a kid doing homework, but that's probably because it's the summer. I've had bad Chinese takeout. Those places exist. Most Chinese takeout places are pretty good. Trust me when I say that Real Taste Garden is better than it has any right being.
