Delicious fresh food and great customer service. Will happily customize sandwiches. Opted for the pastrami with sprouts, cheese, pickles, horseradish and muster on a Kaiser poppyseed roll. Had cup of Poblano pepper and tomato soup - comes in a light cheesy broth. Delicious

Make sure to add the tomato relish if your sandwich doesn't normally come with it!

Thank you yelp for this find! I ordered the turkey supreme, but opted for the marble rye (normally comes on poppyseed bagel) because I knew my guts would thank me later. I don't know what sort of wizardry they use to make the Beno's sauce, but that combined with the tomato relish was the bees knees. It's not a cheap place-my sandwich was $8.42+tax but did include a pickle. However I have the appetite of a 14 year old boy with a tapeworm, and I was satisfied. I will definitely be back to try more sandwiches when I'm in the area again

Super friendly attentive staff. We had no idea what we were looking for and they were patient. We had a pastrami on rye, Clint east wick, and a New York submarine. They were fantastic more then enough food for us all!

Quick and friendly service, combined with really fresh food, equals five stars. More characters required to post review.

Nice deli. I had the Beno's Combo. It was a solid sub. Drinks are bottled or canned soda. Service was fast and friendly. Will be back.

Best sandwich shop in Winona...possible the midwest. I first went to Beno's when it was next to Betty Jo's and it's always a treat.

We got a vegan quiche ($14) which was gluten-free and tasted pretty good. We also had a vegan peanut butter dessert bar thing that was nice. A quick search led us to the co-op. Their website has the daily menu posted which was extremely helpful (and tantalizing!) Their hours were reasonable given the season and the options plentiful. Both days of chilly, cold climbing ended with trips to the co-op for fresh organic veggies, fruit, as well as chocolate and snacks. But also with a HOT MEAL which was so appreciated by us. We took everything to our hotel room and feasted. Everything was delicious and the staff was so friendly and wonderful. The kitchen space (which was open and visible) was clean, organized and smelled great. The soups were awesome also and the leftovers from the day prior were available to take home and heat (so we were able to try one we thought we missed from the day prior - lucky us!) We enjoyed everything and love the prepackaged salads and desserts as well as the mains. The whole place was easy to navigate and had wonderful options. We know we have a good option for healthy, organic, and plant-based food during our next visit to Winona to climb which we are already looking forward to. Kudos to the staff of this co-op and to the community for supporting such a wonderful establishment. Winona is an impressive little community that should continue to support the outdoor activities year round it can host. We were glad to bring our dollars and our business to the community thanks to the folks running the ice climbing park and this awesome co-op.

We ordered the BLTT and prosciutto parma. Both were solid, but we preferred the BLTT. The sandwiches are well constructed -- would be good picnic sandwiches! I enjoyed the bread -- it has integrity without being too hard to bite through. The BLTT is an elevated BLT with turkey, and the basil mayo and saba (which I believe adds a sweetness) are a nice touch. I loved that they didn't skimp on the prosciutto in the prosciutto parma, and the sharp tanginess from the slaw was a nice contrast to the fatty prosciutto and ricotta -- though some bites were just a bit too acidic, making the BLTT our preference. All the ingredients tasted high quality and well thought out. The BLTT was $12 and the prosciutto parma was $13, which might be on the higher end for sandwiches but not unreasonable for a meal, especially considering how good the ingredients are, in my opinion. I'd definitely return to try their other options, too!

The BLTT was our favorite of the three, but all blew us away! Scallion potato salad is great too. I love that the meat is local and so much of their sauces and everything are homemade which we always appreciate. Service is always friendly and restaurant is always clean. Fun to browse their unique and local grocery items while you're waiting for your food. They also have some good Happy Hour deals! For special dietary needs: they have gluten free bread and you can make any sandwich into a salad (for keto, gf, etc).

Be careful though, there are signs that designate certain parking spots for bank customers only. On the outside, it's not overly impressive but as always, it's what's on the inside that counts. When you walk in, the fresh produce (local if available, organic and conventional options all abound) is the first thing you see. Nestled inside of the produce department is a generous salad bar, where you can build your own salad from a serious array of veggies, proteins and toppings for about $6 a pound. Not a bad deal if you're on the run or at the store and don't feel like cooking tonight! There's also an aisle solely dedicated to bulk foods, and their selection is completely impressive. Take a stroll down that aisle before settling on anything pre-boxed or pre-bagged. Make sure you take one of their provided stickers and write the PLU (provided on the dispensing canisters) on the bag for the person at the check out! They've got your standard fare (cereals, canned items, household cleaning items), but with an eye to what's organic, local, environmentally friendly etc. Their meat and dairy department is amazing, and you can pick up farm fresh eggs that are locally grown and harvested for just under $4 a dozen. I purchased some ground beef that was locally raised and grass fed, and it was exceptional. There's a fantastic deli department with pre-made items, a bakery that can definitely get you in trouble, and a wine and beer aisle with a cold side if you're in a hurry. There's even a section for essential oils and charcoal soaps and things of that nature. The best part is, you don't need to be a member to shop here. Membership is encouraged at about $100 or so a year, and you get special savings that way. I recommend the co-op to everyone I come across!
