So we went in for the restaurant area. Ended up getting some Chinese food and found it to be really good. I would suggest the Beijing chicken and general Taos chicken. But the beef and broccoli looked really good. We also had orange chicken and some noodles also. The sitting area was good and pop selection was also good. It was nice to look out the windows and watch the hustle and weather. The workers were really nice and very friendly. They offered information on the food and popular options. Was a good experience and was very filling. read more

We just bought these Hy-Vee Free Range Brown Eggs 2 days ago. Do not buy these eggs. They are terrible. Eggs are supposed to be firm and hold their shape in the frying pan. The last egg I put in the frying pan was all liquid, like water. This was the second watery egg out of 11 so far. I wish I could include pictures so you could see it. read more

Again lean cuisine sale sale 2.99 get to counter only one rang up at 2.99. Others 3.77 they did change all to 2.99. This is far from first time sale items ring up at regular price. Watch your items at checkout. This is the reason I now rarely shop a at HyVee. read more

This review is for the bakery only. Ordered a large sheet cake for a graduation party. Horrible job decorating the cake, colors were incorrect, and the writing was laughable. To top it all off they screwed up the type of cake as well. I asked for a white cake and the one I picked up was marble. Will NEVER order a cake here again!!!!!!! read more

Hy-Vee - Horrible writing on the cake. I actually laughed at it when I saw it - Grocery Near Me - Winona, Minnesota

I recently moved to Winona, MN from Eagan, MN. The Eagan Hy-Vee is STELLAR, and I would give it 10 out of 5 stars! EXCELLENT customer service, decent music to shop by (that actually does make a difference if you need to spend a bit of time in the store), and the ambiance is incredible. HOWEVER, upon moving to Winona, I quickly realized that not every Hy-Vee is as exceptional as Eagan! Very disappointed with Winona Hy-Vee!! Maybe I got spoiled in the Twin Cities, but the Hy-Vee in Winona is nothing exciting at all. Just a boring grocery store. But on top of that, their music sucks, and so does their customer service. Most of the people who work there seem to hate their job and there is not an above-and-beyond attitude there at all!! No smiles or cheerful attitude! In Eagan, if you ask an associate where something is, they would walk you to it... but in Winona, they point at the aisle where it is and basically tell you it's somewhere down that aisle. And they are ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS out of things! I have never known a store who is always out of things as much as this one... even during COVID it was never as bad as this Hy-Vee is now! It's painful to go in there and I avoid it at all costs. I go through the Drive-Thru for the pharmacy and order groceries online and pick them up. The people at the pick-up point are much friendlier. I only go in the store if I have a couple of items I need urgently and then do my best to run in and out quickly. P.S. The high prices at Hy-Vee are unnecessary, because there really ISN'T a supply chain issue... that's just a ruse! read more

I know that stores are struggling with supply chain issues and so forth but I'm really disappointed that HyVee is no longer offering paper bags with handles. Without the handles you're almost forced to use plastic bags which of course is not desirable. I've also noticed that the store is out of a lot more items. This isn't limited to niche items. On the positive side since the pandemic we have been using the Hy-Vee delivery service which is reliable and reasonably priced. read more

I'd give Hy-Vee six stars if I could. Everything they did for our group of 80 adults was better than expected. REASONABLE PRICE to start with and everything was exceptional. Brisket burnt ends and ribs were tasty and done just right, scratch-made desserts were delicious (not too sweet), baked beans with a kick, brussel sprouts were crispy and juicy at the same time, and the potato salad was best I've had. We highly recommend Hy-Vee. read more

"Hy-Five!" Coming from Red Wing, MN, where the only chain supermarket options are both Econofoods stores, Hy-Vee is a little slice of heaven. I enjoy the variety and quality of Hy-Vee's produce, meat, dairy, world food, and health market sections, as well as the in-store dining options of Chinese Express and salad buffet. The meat section is a special treat, where you can most often find affordable, wild-caught seafood such as mahi-mahi, shrimp, and salmon (usually also available pre-packaged in the frozen section), ready to be packaged for you by knowledgeable and friendly butchers. The butchers also occasionally like to offer fun tips for seasoning and cooking your meats! The health and beauty sections are also not to be ignored, offering a nice selection of natural skin and hair products. If you are looking to improve your health, a dietician is also available at this store, providing services such as personal nutrition counseling, health screening, and in-store nutrition workshops. read more

Floral department SUCKS!! Poor customer service. They give you a 5 hour window for delivery, call first, no answer so "attempt" to deliver. Then put a note on your door to come pick up your flowers. When I called to complain, they said they would have tried to redeliver. Really? Where on your pathetic note did it state that? Nowhere!! All you needed to do was put on your note to call. But you would rather inconvenience the person to drive out and pick them up themselves. Floral manager is a B!!! Will NEVER use their services again. read more

Hyvee is a great store...food is so fresh. Workers are so friendly. I wish I wouldn't have quit.

This was a great place but now compared the new one in Rochester, the old ones are really lacking. But still much better than any other food store in Winona read more

Love this place! Their deli is amazing! They have a great mustard potato salad and they make awesome kabobs!! Clean and have a great variety

I like Hy-Vee. One of the hidden gems here is their buffet! Really! Not everything they serve is that great, but you'll find enough items you like, and the buffet is reasonably priced, so you get your money's worth and then some. read more

I have been using Hy-Vee catering service for business meetings for over a year. Their service and quality has always been top notch!
