Very polite staff. Wife and I went for breakfast, very delicious food. We did the haystack and the French toast, it was amazing! Atmosphere is a little run down but if the food is good and the staff is nice, that's what really matters! Will be returning again! read more

Superior Restaurant - French toast - Polish Near Me - Tomah, Wisconsin

Our food was really good! We both got sandwiches. Both chips and fries as a side were great. Will definitely be back.

Really yummy diner food, and friendly service. Huge menu and portions! I ordered the breakfast sandwiches and I loved the cinnamon bread, it reminded me of McGriddles, so yummy! My husband got the French toast with fresh coffee, and really liked it. We also went for a fish fry once and it was some of the best fish that we've had in the Tomah area. read more

We haven't eaten here before, or at least not as the present restaurant. Apparently, from other yelpers, this place has changed hands a few times. We can only rate it as it is now and that was excellent. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Service, even at noon was excellent with the food arriving quickly. And the server was very good and efficient. What else could a person want?? Adequate parking in their lot and on street in front. We will be back! read more

Nice and clean, however ordered Mexican Skillet & requested Tortillas instead of the toast or fries it sits on. NO WAY . I believe that's wrong. Many many restrictions will accommodate . Also, Can't get Lunch/Dinner until 11:00 am. AGAIN WRONG! If kitchen is open all foods can be made. Seems this place is a bit backwards and should Catch up with the times. This isn't Rocket Science. Pleasing Customers should be Top Priority read more

Average diner food..patty melt was very good..I did not like the roast pork it was chopped pork not sliced hard and dry covered in gravy..The homemade pies were terrific. Close to the interstate and fast service.. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE! We tried this place twice Salad is old Silverware and cups are dirty Food is bland and mushy Steak tastes like it was boiled. Staff is very rude! An told us that this just isn't the place for people like US! read more

The service was slow and crappy. We were the only table in the restaurant. I ordered egg whites and blueberries in my pancakes. I would have preferred being told they were not able to put blueberries in my pancakes. Received my pancakes and asked if they weren't able to put them in. Waitress returned with a massive scoop of blueberry jelly on my pancakes. My egg whites were slimy. Being a pregnant woman I'd prefer to not have food poisoning from under cooked food. Will not be coming back. Your best off going to Perkins in Tomah. The staff had a horrible attitude and acted as if refilling drinks was an inconvenience to them. As a person going to a sit down restaurant, I should not have to go up to the counter everytime we need a drink refill, it's not a bar. read more

Great classic Wisconsin diner. Lots of menu options. The food and service were wonderful. Save room for the Elvis pie!

Friendly staff, good service. The all you can eat walleye on Fridays starting at Noon is excellent and only about $13 for soup, salad, choice of potato and corn or broccoli included! Great value. Highly recommend! read more

This place has had its ups and downs. It's changed ownership and management a few times. I don't think these are the same management and ownership they had the last time I ate there, but the service is good and the food I had was very good. They had a Greek breakfast skillet on special, and I figured with the accent they might do that really well. Sure enough it was outstanding, and I plan to order that again next time I am there. Perhaps in future visits as they regain my trust from past experiences at that location I might try more of their menu items. They are doing a good job now. It's still not what it was when it was the Badger Cafe, but it's regaining its place. read more

This place has good deals and fast service! And don't miss out on Friday fish fry! All you can eat Walleye for under $10.00.

Doesn't look like much at first glance, even with recent renovations, but the food is ok and servers were nice. Brought out an extra over easy egg since one had a slight break in it which wasn't necessary but much appreciated. I'd be willing to try this place for breakfast again. read more

Doesn't look like much from the road but definitely a mistake to not stop. Food was plentiful and very good. Staff was helpful and courteous. Definitely a spot to stop next time we're in town. read more

The was very friendly and kept our coffee full.. the food was very good and in large portion.. i had the biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs and it was $5.50 it was lots if i was not so hungry this plate could feed 2. i would recommend this place to any one going through Tomah. The food also comes out fast.. its like fast food fast. read more

Absolutely horrendous. The place was filthy, the staff apathetic. The food you could have gotten out of a vending machine and heat it up. You may say "no one can screw up breakfast"? This place knows how to do it. read more

What a find! Doesn't look like much from the outside, but our breakfast is perfectly prepared, hot and delicious. Biscuits and gravy? Awesome. Corned beef hash? On point. Bacon and cheese omelet? Stellar. Prices are great, too. nothing on the breakfast menu is more than 9 dollars. As my 11-year-old said, "Whoever runs this place should be proud." read more

Very disappointed in this "family restaurant". This restaurant does not have availability to cater to any dietary needs. Ordered an 8oz sirloin steak that was to come with grilled onions as was per menu. They charged extra for the onions even though menu said they were included and was a large hamburger patty. Asked for the minestrone soup and was give chicken broth with a variety of noodles and one small piece of Salisbury steak. Asked to have substitution of a house salad or veggies for the potato. Was told they don't do salads, but another guest in our party order a chicken wrap with all the fixings needed for a salad. Would not recommend this restaurant. read more

Nice American-style family restaurant. Super BLT and home made chips. Family friendly pricing, too.

It isn't much on the outside nor inside. I came here with my family and the food was hot so I'm not complaining about that, the food was just mediocre. Not sure if I'd come back. read more

Went here for bfast with the family. Read some positive reviews on yelp and decided to give it a shot. The food is not half bad. They have a good selection for bfast. The waitress that was there was welcoming and attentive. The bathroom, although out dated, was clean. The coffee was not on point though. I decided not to drink my cup because it would ruin the meal. Stopped by McDonalds to satisfy my coffee craving. The atmosphere could use a make over. It would make it a more inviting environment. Other than that, good place for bfast. read more

This place was great!! Customer service was great and the food was super good!! Definitely try their biscuits and gravy!!! We will definitely be going back when in Tomah!!! Great price on the food too! read more

The crepes were wonderful! 5/5 Breakfast burrito was great except the salsa wasn't very spicy. 4/5 Kids had the alaskan waffle and loved it! 5/5 The Mexican omelet was gobbled up but again the salsa was too quiet. 3/5 The service was excellent! 5/5 This place is definitely a keeper! read more

Sunday 1-20-19. Went here for lunch after church. It's been months since we were here last. The wife had some veggie skillet thing and I got two pancakes for 3.25 and added bacon for 1.25. I thought 1.25 was pretty cheap to add bacon even if it was only two pieces. Then I figured it out. They were sliced as thin as Scott toilet tissue lol . But that's ok I need to cut back on my bacon intake anyway. The food was good but when I got the bill it bothered me. The charged me 6.75 for my pancake and bacon that should have been 4.50. But that's not really what bothers me it's the fact that just about every time I come here there's a mistake on the bill for a couple bucks and never in my favor. I don't feel I should have to pull out a calculator and get a menu and check everything. We come here most of the time with other people 5 or 6 times a year and 4 out of 6 there's a problem on the bill. Unlike many other restaurants the food order is always correct it's just there's always a couple bucks mistake here or there. It makes me wonder how many others just go up and put it on the card and never check read more

Upon entering my paramour commented that there was a apparent smell that she thought was urine. I personally could not smell it. The service was fast and they had a large selection on the menu. The service was fast and our food came out quickly. My paramour found a hair/fiber on her plate under her bun. I ordered the breaded pork tenderloin. Growing up in Iowa I was expecting a hand made breaded tenderloin. What I received was a frozen tenderloin that was fried and served to me. I expect more out of a diner in the Midwest. We may be back to try their breakfast menu. read more

Nice small town cafe restaurant. Full selection of American style meals. I had the special of the day of half rack of ribs which came with salad bar, soup, and mashed potatoes. My wife had roast turkey which also came with salad bar and mashed potatoes. All the food was made from scratch and served hot. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely worth a try if you want to get away from the highway food chains. read more

I had a gastric bypass and even with my medical card they would not let me order from the child's menu. Sucks! Won't be back!

My wife and I ate her this morning. She wanted a kids meal because of her Gastro bypass she had some time ago. which limits her food intake at a sitting. The waitress stated No she could not have that because she was not 11yrs old. I told her but, she has had a medical procedure but she insisted she could order from the side dishes. Do not spend a dime at the place they are rude and do not care about others read more
