We were on the way home from Viroquia when we stumbled upon this gem. There is something for everyone on the menu, and a traditional polish section which we zeroed in on. We ordered the potato dumplings stuffed with pork, the roast pork dinner, the tripe soup, the polish sausage entree, and the stuffed cabbage. This restaurant is 2 hours away from my hometown, but I would drive there just for the tripe soup. Staff is friendly, and you can tell they take great pride in their offerings. This place is cleverly hidden in a Citgo gas station. Put your pride aside, and get in there!!! As soon as you enter the doors, you will quickly forget you are in a gas station. I don't believe this place is open any longer. The most recent review I'd from July of 2023, over a year ago. We were there in 2019 and it was very good. At that time you took your chances whether or not they would be open or not. Very loose scheduling which could account for them not being open any longer. read more

This place is no longer open as a restaurant. It's a glorified gas station store/deli with many polish items.

Rude, lazy staff( maybe owners) Asked for some sliced meat, asked to have the grey end cut off, lady said it's fine. So I refused the sliced meat. Things are left out, uncovered, and that's gross. Prices are extremely inflated, $7 for a box of crackers- Hell No Maybe new owners will come in and get things back in line. 5 miles down the road is Kwik Trip , 100% better all around. I absolutely love this restaurant. I've been here a handful of times when I visit my Mom. I'm a huge fan!!! I've only eaten the polish entrées and love them. My favorite is the cabbage rolls. They do offer quite a variety of options from breakfasts, sandwiches, dinner entrées, and fabulous soup's. I really like the borscht and the Dillpickle soup. On my last visit we decided to try the chicken and dumpling and it was absolutely outstanding soup. Their pierogies are very good, my favorite is the mushroom and sauerkraut. I'm not a huge fan of the Pyzy's however my Mother really enjoyed then. If you are up in Adam's County give this place a try. They have weird hours and usually don't stay open later in the day but I believe they are open most days for breakfast and lunch. Promise you won't be disappointed. read more

Walked in after a morning of fishing. First, I have to imagine the place changed hands because now you have to stand in line to place your order. Oh, and they either don't want to pay for a card machine or think the service fee is too high for them because it's cash only . After I paid a fee at THEIR ATM, I placed our orders. After waiting over 40 minutes for 3 half orders of biscuits and gravy, it was nasty looking. Starving , ate it anyway. Wish I hadn't. Not sure why it took so long. Each order was only 1 biscuit with a spoonful of gravy with cold sausage in it. Another family walked in while we were 10 minutes into our wait and they received their food 15 minutes sooner than us but they were Polish and we are not. Oh, almost forgot to mention, we also purchased 3 cans of pop, and one was expired and the food was served on Styrofoam plates with plastic silverware! Not worth the $33 they got from us read more

Wonderful little hidden treasure! I had the polish goulash with potato dumplings which was great. My mom had chicken dumpling soup followed by strawberry shortcake both also wonderful. Don't let the gas station restaurant exterior scare you away. read more

My breakfast was pretty good, but was a bit greasy and upset my stomach. The hash and eggs were good and there was definitely half of it to take home for the next day. I like that they had a variety of bread choices for the breakfast. My breakfast guest had the pig roast breakfast and the slab of pork on the plate was huge (and probably the best pork from a roast that I've had). The dress code is casual and they serve a lot of hunters, fishermen and locals. There's a gas station and store next to it for those that want to get a couple of things off their to-do list at the same time. They are now closed Tues-Thurs, s make sure you inquire about their hours for fall/winter before you go. They are mostly open for breakfast and lunch the other days. read more

We have a permanent camper near her and we will eat here EVERY weekend. No lie, Saturday and Sunday. Best food around both Polish and American. I strongly recommend the Cabbage rolls they are fantastic and I could drink the tomato gravy by the gallon.I wish they stayed open later in the day. But I will get what I can take. read more

Really cute place not too far from local parks & lake docks. Breakfast was very reasonably priced and quite yummy. The staff was nice, though a little reserved; sort of friendly-but-just-business. There is a nice lady with a Polish or German accent who seems to keep things running. Biscuits & gravy, French toast and eggs all were great, and my daughter said her grilled red potatoes were the best she's had (high praise for a teenager!). Will definitely be back to try the lunch sandwiches & combo platters. read more

If I could do 0 stars I would. I stopped at JB Citgo at 6:59pm not knowing they close at 7. The reason for my stop was my infant daughter became sick in the car and threw up all over. I wanted to go in and buy some bottled water to clean her up and this is the only gas station for miles. Unfortunately, I was met at the door by an employee who rudely said "closed, go to McDonald's", and proceeded to shut the door in my face and lock it before I could say anything. Although I travel through this area regularly, I will never support this small business with my money ever again and wouldn't recommend anyone else do so either. read more

Have been here a bunch of times and did not realize I had not reviewed it. This place is great. Everything I have had here has been awesome. The staff is friendly even when busy despite the fact that one server is on duty the times we have gone. The atmosphere is clean and new. The only knock I have found on the place is that one of the young servers is a little stingy on the soda refills, but it may be just him getting revenge on a former teacher. read more

This is trulyan authentic Polish "homecooking" restaurant!!! Purposely go to the Necedah Wildlife Refuge, in part, because we soooo look forward to stopping there to eat! (It's attached to JB Sales and gas station). So far, we've tried there daily specials...soups...like pickle soup, ribs, eggs/hashbrowns/polish sausage, or the pork roast breakfast...(according to my picky husband is "the most delicious breakfast he's ever had).
