    Stuff cabbage rolls
    Rebecca T.

We were on the way home from Viroquia when we stumbled upon this gem. There is something for everyone on the menu, and a traditional polish section which we zeroed in on. We ordered the potato dumplings stuffed with pork, the roast pork dinner, the tripe soup, the polish sausage entree, and the stuffed cabbage. This restaurant is 2 hours away from my hometown, but I would drive there just for the tripe soup. Staff is friendly, and you can tell they take great pride in their offerings. This place is cleverly hidden in a Citgo gas station. Put your pride aside, and get in there!!! As soon as you enter the doors, you will quickly forget you are in a gas station. Check out the attached store, they have many imported polish items at a competitive price, a bakery, and a deli. Thank you for the amazing lunch---we will be back!

Good food. Good price. Very friendly staff. We look forward to coming here. Just wish they were open more often, the last three times we tried to eat here they had a sign saying they closed early or for the day.

I absolutely love this restaurant. I've been here a handful of times when I visit my Mom. I'm a huge fan!!! I've only eaten the polish entrées and love them. My favorite is the cabbage rolls. They do offer quite a variety of options from breakfasts, sandwiches, dinner entrées, and fabulous soup's. I really like the borscht and the Dillpickle soup. On my last visit we decided to try the chicken and dumpling and it was absolutely outstanding soup. Their pierogies are very good, my favorite is the mushroom and sauerkraut. I'm not a huge fan of the Pyzy's however my Mother really enjoyed then. If you are up in Adam's County give this place a try. They have weird hours and usually don't stay open later in the day but I believe they are open most days for breakfast and lunch. Promise you won't be disappointed.

    Pork goulash with potato dumplings

Wonderful little hidden treasure! I had the polish goulash with potato dumplings which was great. My mom had chicken dumpling soup followed by strawberry shortcake both also wonderful. Don't let the gas station restaurant exterior scare you away.

The chef owner is straight from Poland and treats us to the very best in Polish cuisine!

My breakfast was pretty good, but was a bit greasy and upset my stomach. The hash and eggs were good and there was definitely half of it to take home for the next day. I like that they had a variety of bread choices for the breakfast. My breakfast guest had the pig roast breakfast and the slab of pork on the plate was huge (and probably the best pork from a roast that I've had). The dress code is casual and they serve a lot of hunters, fishermen and locals. There's a gas station and store next to it for those that want to get a couple of things off their to-do list at the same time. They are now closed Tues-Thurs, s make sure you inquire about their hours for fall/winter before you go. They are mostly open for breakfast and lunch the other days.

This place is no longer open as a restaurant. It's a glorified gas station store/deli with many polish items.

We'll…read moreknown and good burgers and fries...but my trusted dining companion, Yelp, told me about a little diner, open only until 2:00 p.m. called Misty's Menu, so we headed there for a burger, fries, and soup. My wife ordered homemade beef noodle soup (delicious). My 1/3 lb hand-pattied burger was served on a perfectly toasted potato bun which was bakery fresh! I'm very particular about fries. These were nearly perfect. Crinkle-cut, crispy, and thank heaven's not coated! Coated fries are the lazy diner's way of adding crispness to fries. Simply change your fryer oil frequently and you'll get crisp, delicious fries - like Misty's! My cup of chili contained elbow pasta but lacked salt in my opinion. My table shaker fixed that and I enjoyed the small sample of their homemade chili. Our server, Harmony, was prompt, well trained, friendly and attentive. She displayed a good sense of humor and connected with us. So, no offense to Culver's but our $17.97 meal was fast, fresh, and served with a smile! So its Culver's No, Misty's Yes in my opinion! Give this place a try for breakfast or lunch.
