Each had 3 strips of chicken and a ton of noodles. No mushrooms, no snow peas, one carrot, a bunch of broccoli, two water chestnuts, and two onion slices. That's all. The old man who used to cook there was fantastic!!! And then the kids came in and F'd EVERYTHING up! We ordered extra mushrooms and they charged us SIX BUCKS FOR 5 slices! SIX BUCKS! I am not sure why this restaurant has the reviews it does. I took a chance and stopped by for lunch yesterday. Maybe people see the back end as cluttered without realizing that is the back of the restaurant and is used for storage. If you come in the front door, you will find a clean and comfortable seating. I mentioned to my waitress that I was in a rush, made my order, and went to the bathroom. When I came back, my soup and drink were waiting for me. Before I could fully consume the soup, my main course showed up. Sweet and Sour Pork. It was a large portion and tasted as good as any Sweet and Sour Pork I have eaten anywhere. Good food, good service, and a pleasant atmosphere will bring me back to Double Dragon II again. read more

A recent order on DoorDash, I was called by a woman who I would presume is the owner, who told me she would not fill my order and I had to call DoorDash to get my money back because DoorDash had the wrong prices. The DoorDash driver was standing there. It was almost $100 order and instead I said we'll make it right and please give me whatever food you think you should for the money. she was very rude. I kept explaining that it's not my problem that she's on DoorDash and they had the wrong prices and she should have honored it, but she did not. I will tell you the food was good, but most likely I will never go back to double dragon after being abused by the owner when it clearly had nothing to do with me. read more

Really good chinese & chinese american dishes. Lots of the classics you'd expect and some more 'authentic' dishes under the chefs special. The Mala chicken and string beans are extremely flavorful and done perfectly as is the fried rice and low mein. If you know about the 3.5 star rule for chinese restaurants in the US, this is exactly in the Goldilocks zone. read more

This always has been and will continue to be my go to "cheap Chinese" restaurant! I'm always surprised at the dine in experience, dining room is clean and the servers are always really good. I've only done take out, I've never done delivery through a third party app so I cannot speak to that experience. They're fast and efficient and have never messed up my to go/call in order. I'm certainly happy with what I was served. In fact, the curry flavor has been kicked up a notch. Someone knows their spices where they are bangin' pots and boilin' and steamin' stuff. This Oklahoma Cowboy and Texan has been to nice Chinese all over. It's about the only food I eat in England. English desserts as the main course, of course. Back to the food at hand. We've had take out a few times from here, usually the food is good, but they always forget something. So always double check your order before you leave. Last night though was the worst. Not sure why they would think this is acceptable to serve instead of just tossing it out and just making a fresh batch, but the LoMein was a over cooked disgusting blob. The garlic chicken was not good and there was very little chicken in it. The cashew chicken had lots of veggies and some cashews but very little chicken as well. I'm not sure if we'll be back because this was all such a waste of money . We did not call to complain because we live across town and it wouldn't make a difference the owner is very rude. read more

The best part about this place was the server. She was sweet, attentive, and I heard her being helpful with others who had questions about the menu. Everything else was poor. The hot and sour soup was just salty. I ordered the lunch special with broccoli and beef. The rice was more like an undercooked grain, it looked like every grain of rice was broken in half. And it was hard. The egg roll wasn't stuffed with anything (but did look homemade, for what that is worth) and the beef and broccoli were just salty. The broccoli was cooked well. Cleaner than average Chinese food place located in a quiet area of a nice shopping mall in Santa Fe. They had nice table and booth seating. There is a fast food type counter at front door or you can go left and be seated for a meal. There were decently priced lunch and dinner specials, note there are NO lunch specials on Sunday. No buffet, but lots of the standard fare. We had a light meal with egg drop soup, pork fried rice, fried dumplings, steak on a stick and the house special soup. It was pretty good. The dumplings were the best part- very tasty and not overcooked. The house soup was basically a very large bowl of broth with a large variety of veggies and chicken and shrimp- which for some might taste bland, but was perfect for me. Nothing special, but the rest of the meal was satisfying. I really did not like the steak on a stick, maybe if it was grilled it would have had a better taste, but it was pan fried and stale. Overall a decent but not too exciting Chinese place. The young woman serving us was very pleasent even when I watched her dealing with a rude customer. read more

Worst Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. Panda express is 100% better. There was one bite sized piece of chicken with enough breading around it to fry a whole chicken. The crab Rangoon was this triangle piece of dough smashed down like an empanada with a teaspoon of filling. Three pieces of broccoli. I have not tried the hot and sour soup yet, but if it is anything like the appetizer and entrée I'm sure it will suck also.If anybody has a recommendation for a Chinese restaurant in Santa Fe New Mexico please let me know. read more

The night we were here for dinner the food was fine. The shrimp were succulent, the white sauce had good taste, the General Tso's was crispy and the sweet and sour sauce was not to sweet. It wasn't gourmet Chinese, but it was good value and tasty. Service was fine -- the waitresses were attendant and polite. The chef's yelled at each other in dialect, just like in Chinese restaurants everywhere. I suspect that this place is on the itinerant Chinese chef circuit and that from time-to-time they change out, hence the inconsistency in reviews. For now, I'd give it a go. read more

It's not a bad Chinese restaurant at all. I order here all the times for work. They're fast but very slow during lunch and dinner. If you order togo, just call in ahead of time and when they say 10 mins and the food will be ready, make it 30. I can't really say that they have unique or special course that helps them stand out. Oh man. The good news is that the food is mostly edible; the bad news is that you actually end up eating it. We got dinner with a couple friends at Double Dragon on Monday night for a traditional "Jewish Christmas" after a couple other places on Cerrillos had crazy wait times. Nice things to say: the egg rolls and the steamed dumplings weren't terrible. The broccoli with garlic was pretty edible too, but the shrimp lo mein was probably worse than Panda Express and the orange chicken was overly sweet and super oily. The fried wontons? Ugh--just fried frozen dough that was pretty nasty. But the worst part about this place? There's no booze on the menu with which to drown your sorrows about eating such terrible Chinese food. One of us actually thinks this place wasn't *that* bad, but the other insists that it was awful, so he wins with the one star review. A bah humbug food experience, though still nice to celebrate with our friends in SF. But seriously, don't go here. read more

I've looked all over Santa Fe for a good Chinese restaurant for my Foodie household, and when I found Double Dragon we liked it so much we quit looking. The heavyset middle-aged Chinese woman, apparently the manger, was unbelievably rude -- beyond rude, positively hostile -- when I picked up a prepaid take out order for my family.
