At 5:00 PM on September 28th, 2020, I could not get my car started in my driveway. It was dead and no dashboard lights came on when I turned the key in the ignition. I had picked it up the day before from the garage where a mechanic had worked on the same intermittent electrical problem that had been going on for several days. I thought that the mechanic had identified and fixed the electrical problem, but obviously that was not the case. So I called AAA and informed them that I needed a tow back to the garage. AAA said that a tow truck would arrive in about an hour. Double D Towing arrived half an hour later. When I told the tow truck driver (whose name I do not recall) that I needed a tow because of an ongoing electrical problem, he suggested that he might be able to get the car started for me and I told him to go ahead and try. So he checked the battery and it was fully charged. He then checked the fuses and they were all good. So then he checked the battery connections and that is when he discovered a problem with a connection device on one of the battery terminals. He removed the connection device from the battery terminal and then used a jump pack to bypass the battery and jump-started the engine. As a result, I was able to drive the car to the garage and it did not need to be towed. I appreciated the fact that the driver decided to try to try to identify and fix the problem before towing my car and I thanked him for his initiative and his professionalism. I hope that the next time that I call AAA asking to be towed that they send Double D Towing again and that the same tow truck driver is the one who is dispatched to help me. read more

I had a callout to AAA as my car would not start. Double D was allocated the job and tried to jump start my car. KYLE PEARSON listened to my engine and using his 30 years of experience was able to tell me that my fuel lines were frozen. He did this rather than just towing my car to the local garage. KYLE also recommended that i should use an additive to help prevent the lines from freezing in the future. KYLE not only saved me money nut alot of headache on Monday morning as I now have a working car and will not have to juggle getting to work. Thank you Double D and specifically Kyle read more

zero is the appropriate score because they are worthless, not to mention a dishonest bunch of liars. they show up for AAA roadside assistance to tell me that it'll be 300 dollars to pull my van with one tire in a ditch out. i told them to leave and called AAA to complain about these swindlers. A good Samaritan driving a Toyta pickup truck pulled my van out in 3 minutes, something that Double d towing with its mammoth truck did not even try to do. These jokers deserve to get shut down and I've asked AAA to sever their relationship with these thieves. read more

Had my car towed 2 nights in a row. First night my fault I changed my regular tags to my customized tags and totally forgot to get a new parking sticker. I got a new sticker the same day I picked up my car. Wake up in the morning car was towed again! Called asked why? They said because my sticker was swapped! Duh stupid!! I didn't want my car towed again!! By same stupid driver! DJ! My leasing office talked to them and they stated they couldn't bring my car back till late evening! He politely gave his estimated time of arrival and was punctual Every tow truck driver I've ever had who's from West Virginia was super-knowledgeable about towing in general, knew a tremendous amount about cars (I'm a car buff so I always talk to them about cars) plus were super-gentlemen. I just watched a Double D truck towing a car blow through a red light on Battlefield Drive in Leesburg. The speed limit is 35 MPH but the truck was clearly going faster than that. The lights were all green on Sycolin Road by the time he blasted through... there were cars and pedestrians that were almost creamed by this truck. If the management of Double D actually reviews this, they ought to discipline (or fire) the driver (~1:30 pm, 6/25). At the speed this driver was going, any accident would likely have included fatalities. read more

There are angels and one of them is named Alan. After a 2 hour ordeal with a less than helpful emergency provider. We were redirected to Double D. He arrived within the time frame given to us by Double D's helpful and pleasant dispatcher. We didn't even have to explain our situation, he went straight to finding a solution. My only key broke, and we weren't able to start the car. Called AAA expecting to have to have car towed to dealership for an expensive new key. Steve from Double D called me before he arrived, coached me through a quick fix of the key, and was able to get the car started. He also recommended a cheap local key place that is less than half the cost of the dealer. Definitely recommend! read more

Brian was FANTASTIC! He arrived quicker than expected, very cheerful on a cold snowy day, and very helpful!! He recommended calling local police for traffic control who quickly responded with flashing lights closed the right lane allowing for safe vehicle extraction.
