I honestly could not rave more about Potomac Towing and Recovery (but please give me a moment while I most certainly do so) I needed a tow from Northern Virginia to Maryland. I put a project request on Yelp as I would typically do in this instance and got responses from 5 different companies. All the companies ranged about the same in the price but Potomac Towing was the most responsive. I do NOT regret that decision. I had the opportunity to speak with Gabriel to schedule my tow and his response time was SPECTACULAR! No matter the time in the 24 hour window of when I scheduled my tow, he answered within 20 minutes which I loved. Sean actually performed my tow. I was scheduled for 8 am but he was EARLY which I again loved! He came, hooked the car up fast and went on his way. I did thoroughly appreciate his knowledge on cars when we discussed my main car issue and need for the tow, but I moreso appreciated his words of encouragement after. THIS IS THE PLACE TO USE!!! Driver Sean was responsive and got in touch right away and stayed on the phone with me until he got to my location. He took care of my car and drove me to the dealer of my choice. This is the second time that I have used the service of Potomac Towing & Recovery. I needed my car picked up this morning at 8:00 a.m., and towed to my dealership. Sean the driver arrived on-time, and was very nice and helpful. He took a look under the hood, and was able to determine what part had malfunctioned, and took great care of the delivery of the vehicle. I was able to ride with Sean, which saved me on transportation costs. Sean wanted to make sure that the dealership was expecting the car, and that the dealership would arrange for my transportation back home, in the event that I would need to leave my car at the dealership. Sean was able to arrive at the dealership at the expected time, and did a great job of coordinating with the dealership the placement of the car. Sean displayed considerable concern for me, and did not want to leave me without means of getting back home. The cost was very good, and the service was excellent! I appreciated greatly Sean's work, and highly recommend both Sean and Potomac Towing & Recovery!!! My son's truck wasn't starting and I called Potomac Towing on Thursday around 530-6pm asking if they could pick the truck up and take it about 2 miles to the mechanic. The lady who answered the phone was so nice and funny. She insured that someone would be there same day. Sean should up less than an hour later and tried to help us get it started but we are pretty sure it's the starter. Sean was very nice, and helpful. Highly recommend Potomac Towing. My daughter's car broke down in Herndon so I called Potomac to have it towed to our mechanic a few miles away. Despite it being bad weather (sleet about an hour earlier followed by rain), they arrived within 15 minutes. The driver Sean was great, and even told us what was likely wrong with the car (and it turns out he was correct). He had us hooked up within 10 minutes and let us both ride with him to the shop, saving us the cost of an Uber. Price was very reasonable too. Dude .... this doesn't happen. I stupidly got stuck in the mud with my rental (I'm in town with the wife from FL). we went for a short hike is this little park and tried to get out of the small parking lot. People blocking every exit, I tried to sneak through a small patch of grass which had tire tracks in the mud and no apparent distress. I didn't make it. A few calls and Potomac was #2. I spoke with Chris/Kris (sorry, I didn't ask her to spell it) who was VERY friendly. This was a nice treat after my first call to another tower (closer and I was anxious to get out). So, check it out....Chris is very, very friendly and gave me recommendations of another service provider and was happy to do so. I called a few more and ended up reaching the same place with 2 different names and finally the first one (sister of the other one) made it out after about an hour waiting (which is what they said - points for being not only close but 3 or 4 minutes early). But here's the best part....she calls me back and leaves me a voicemail asking if I was able to make it out, obviously with the intent to help me find a way out (maybe someone would become free?). By the time I got the message, I didn't call back but I'm here, finally in my hotel, raving about only the phone service. Chris/Kris (again, sorry), you really are awesome. This is a review for a service that I would hope never to use again, but if I do, and if it is in the same area, I would not hesitate to call this service again. My car lost power while driving (possible problem with alternator) on a Sunday, thankfully, in a not so bad spot. I Yelped and found Potomac Towing with 5 star reviews and close by. Gabriel took down my location, and said he would be there in ~20 minutes. He came on time, and put me and my wife at ease with his friendly demeanor. This is exactly what we needed because we were pretty nervous with the whole situation (first time calling a tow truck). I gave him my home address not knowing that I could drop off my car at a mechanic's shop after hours too putting details in an envelop and dropping it off (like I said, first time for everything). He suggested that it would be much better for me to go directly to the shop, instead of my home as I would need another towing next day if I wanted to get to the auto shop. So I gave him that address, and he dropped us off at our preferred auto service shop, carefully unloading the car in a safe spot.
