I honestly could not rave more about Potomac Towing and Recovery (but please give me a moment while I most certainly do so) I needed a tow from Northern Virginia to Maryland. I put a project request on Yelp as I would typically do in this instance and got responses from 5 different companies. All the companies ranged about the same in the price but Potomac Towing was the most responsive. I do NOT regret that decision. I had the opportunity to speak with Gabriel to schedule my tow and his response time was SPECTACULAR! No matter the time in the 24 hour window of when I scheduled my tow, he answered within 20 minutes which I loved. Sean actually performed my tow. I was scheduled for 8 am but he was EARLY which I again loved! He came, hooked the car up fast and went on his way. I did thoroughly appreciate his knowledge on cars when we discussed my main car issue and need for the tow, but I moreso appreciated his words of encouragement after. THIS IS THE PLACE TO USE!!! I am keeping their information and if I ever need any of their services - they will be my 1st stop!!! read more

I never thought I give a towing company 5 stars, but Potomac is not like any other. When my wife's van broke down this week, our mechanic recommended we call Potomac, so she did. Above and beyond service, quick, polite and great communication. Cannot thank Sean enough for coming to the rescue. Keep their number handy, just in case. read more

I've worked with Potomac Towing for three months hauling a vintage 1946 Chevy all over the state of Virginia. Their attention to detail and customer service had been the best! I wish I could give these guys more than 5 stars. They were fantastic! My car had a tire blowout yesterday afternoon on the Dulles Toll Road. After AAA stated they wouldn't be able to help me for several hours, I called Potomac Towing & Recovery and they had me picked up within 15 minutes. Driver Sean was responsive and got in touch right away and stayed on the phone with me until he got to my location. He took care of my car and drove me to the dealer of my choice. Not only did I feel like the service was worth the cost, I also felt like Sean and their entire team cared about my experience. I even told him that I'm not used to a towing company being so nice. At any rate, they were great! I would highly, highly recommend them to anyone in need. read more

I highly recommend Potomac Towing & Recovery. I contacted them this morning when my car was dead after filling up my gas tank and they instantly came through to assist me. The quality, customer service and reliability they provided was exceptional. Thank you!!! read more

This is the second time that I have used the service of Potomac Towing & Recovery. I needed my car picked up this morning at 8:00 a.m., and towed to my dealership. Sean the driver arrived on-time, and was very nice and helpful. He took a look under the hood, and was able to determine what part had malfunctioned, and took great care of the delivery of the vehicle. I was able to ride with Sean, which saved me on transportation costs. Sean wanted to make sure that the dealership was expecting the car, and that the dealership would arrange for my transportation back home, in the event that I would need to leave my car at the dealership. Sean was able to arrive at the dealership at the expected time, and did a great job of coordinating with the dealership the placement of the car. Sean displayed considerable concern for me, and did not want to leave me without means of getting back home. The cost was very good, and the service was excellent! I appreciated greatly Sean's work, and highly recommend both Sean and Potomac Towing & Recovery!!! This is the only local towing service that I plan to use, and has proven to be the "one to call"! read more

I had the unfortunate experience of my vehicle breaking down this evening. I contacted my mechanic, Piedmont Tire and Auto, and they recommended Potomac Towing for my tow needs. The dispatcher was very polite and helpful. I received and immediate quote, which was far less than I had expected. The driver was sent out immediately, and arrived just a few short minutes after contacting them. The driver, Sean, contacted me to let me know my vehicle had been dropped at the service shop. He was very professional and polite, and he made a crummy experience much better than it could have been. Highly recommend! read more

Needed a jump start. Talked to Chris and she set up for Alan to be out within an hour. 55 minutes later Alan arrived and started our car. Directed us to Advance Auto to have our battery tested. My son's truck wasn't starting and I called Potomac Towing on Thursday around 530-6pm asking if they could pick the truck up and take it about 2 miles to the mechanic. The lady who answered the phone was so nice and funny. She insured that someone would be there same day. Sean should up less than an hour later and tried to help us get it started but we are pretty sure it's the starter. Sean was very nice, and helpful. He towed it to the mechanic and even sent pictures to show that my son's "baby" was safe. I would 100% recommend Potomac Towing to everyone!! It's hard to find trusting companies and this is definitely one that will take care of you. read more

Dude .... this doesn't happen. I stupidly got stuck in the mud with my rental (I'm in town with the wife from FL). we went for a short hike is this little park and tried to get out of the small parking lot. People blocking every exit, I tried to sneak through a small patch of grass which had tire tracks in the mud and no apparent distress. I didn't make it. A few calls and Potomac was #2. I spoke with Chris/Kris (sorry, I didn't ask her to spell it) who was VERY friendly. This was a nice treat after my first call to another tower (closer and I was anxious to get out). So, check it out....Chris is very, very friendly and gave me recommendations of another service provider and was happy to do so. I called a few more and ended up reaching the same place with 2 different names and finally the first one (sister of the other one) made it out after about an hour waiting (which is what they said - points for being not only close but 3 or 4 minutes early). But here's the best part....she calls me back and leaves me a voicemail asking if I was able to make it out, obviously with the intent to help me find a way out (maybe someone would become free?). By the time I got the message, I didn't call back but I'm here, finally in my hotel, raving about only the phone service. Chris/Kris (again, sorry), you really are awesome. Happy new year to you. read more

Highly recommend Potomac Towing. My daughter's car broke down in Herndon so I called Potomac to have it towed to our mechanic a few miles away. Despite it being bad weather (sleet about an hour earlier followed by rain), they arrived within 15 minutes. The driver Sean was great, and even told us what was likely wrong with the car (and it turns out he was correct). He had us hooked up within 10 minutes and let us both ride with him to the shop, saving us the cost of an Uber. Price was very reasonable too. I will definitely call Potomac Towing again if we need a tow. read more

First, on time, professional, clean and reasonable cost. They made a bad situation much easier. They took care of getting my car to the dealer on time and I did not even have to be with them. Billing was easy and electronic. I hope I never need a tow but if I do I will use them again. read more

Our car broke down in Ashburn, a good 25 miles away from home. We called around, Potomac was definitely one of the cheapest towing company around and since the reviews were great on yelp, we decided to go with Potomac. Julian was very helpful. His truck was very warm and comfortable. He took our car to our autoshop, parked our car in the small parking spot perfectly and dropped us home. We had great conversations with him all the way back. We needed our Mercedes Benz towed. We called the Roadside Assistance number and were told it would be a 55-minute wait. Immediately we received a text message from Potomac Towing and Recovery saying they were on the way! Cameron called in route saying he was about 25-minutes away. He was here early and had the car loaded in no time without any problems! Cameron sent us a text message saying that he had delivered the car to the dealership for repairs. As business owners in Great Falls, we certainly shout out other businesses with terrific customer service and professional abilities. First time using a tow service and very impressed. I messaged the company yesterday and within minutes I had a response, quote and confirmation. I scheduled my tow pick up for 9am and Gabriel came on time, very friendly and professional from start to end. The entire process was fast, professional and stress free. I paid with my credit card which had a small processing fee and immediately received a text receipt. I would use again and recommend. Great job guys! read more

This is a review for a service that I would hope never to use again, but if I do, and if it is in the same area, I would not hesitate to call this service again. My car lost power while driving (possible problem with alternator) on a Sunday, thankfully, in a not so bad spot. I Yelped and found Potomac Towing with 5 star reviews and close by. Gabriel took down my location, and said he would be there in ~20 minutes. He came on time, and put me and my wife at ease with his friendly demeanor. This is exactly what we needed because we were pretty nervous with the whole situation (first time calling a tow truck). I gave him my home address not knowing that I could drop off my car at a mechanic's shop after hours too putting details in an envelop and dropping it off (like I said, first time for everything). He suggested that it would be much better for me to go directly to the shop, instead of my home as I would need another towing next day if I wanted to get to the auto shop. So I gave him that address, and he dropped us off at our preferred auto service shop, carefully unloading the car in a safe spot. I also asked him to stop over at an ATM as I wasn't carrying that much cash and wanted to avoid 5% credit card fees that most towing companies charge. A+ service and highly recommended. read more

Bring your business to them. My first experience with another towing company was horrible and I was reluctant to get assistance for the second time. Luckily, I met the right towing company. I spoke to Julian and he was straight to the point. Got my information, quoted me the correct estimated time of arrival, and at reasonable price. I did not need to be present during the towing and an invoice was sent to my email as soon as the drop off was completed. read more

Our vehicle broke down today and we needed a tow. I was not sure who to call and was reluctant to just pick any company out there. I was then given the name of a guy named Jillian at Potomac Towing and Recovery and contacted them. I spoke with Chris the dispatcher who was a delight to speak with and she sent him on his way to help us in our time of need. He got there in record time, hooked us up and took us to our destination.....all with a warm smile and professional and courteous attitude.
