Maybe you have seen my other review on DP auto services...but SEND TOWING is the absolute GEM that was able to jump start my car AND give me some trusted advice on where to go to get my car fixed. I initially called them because I thought I needed my car towed, but when Simon arrived he suggested another quick jump instead and asked me where I was going to get my car fixed. I told him the first place I was GOING to go, and he immediately said, "that place over charges for everything, go to DP instead". I didn't get the impression he was trying to sway me in the wrong direction, but he honestly cared that I was getting a good deal and that I would not be taken advantage of cost wise. Simon and Send Towing is the BEST! Our car was in a DC garage with a low height clearance. He sent me a tow truck and throughout the process, checked on me by phone and text. The tower was so knowledgeable and worked magic to get an electric car with no power out of that garage and safely to get service in Fairfax, VA. I'm a teacher and I give Send Towing an A+. A few months ago I went through a series of unfortunate car troubles. After my car failed to start a couple of times (a few of which were in not so convenient places/situations) I decided it was time to take it in and stop being that pathetic person on the side of the street begging for someone to help me jump start my car. Unfortunately after I replaced the battery, it turned out I needed to get the transmission fixed as well. I drove my car to my parent's condo in NW DC on a rainy day and instead of parking it in the garage, I decided it was a smart idea to park on the street. Of course, after I stopped to drop off my dog inside, I got back in the car and it wouldn't start. The auto shop was only 2 blocks away; needless to say my car troubles were not getting better. I walked down the street to the mechanic shop and one of the regulars I know even walked back to my car and tried to help me start it with a mobile jump start kit but that didn't work. After calling a few local towing companies without any luck, I tried to call some of the contacts that the mechanic shop offered me and I didn't get an answer or call back from any of them. Mind you this is all in my rush to save my car from getting a ticket before the two hours I am allowed to park on the street in DC. All of the companies I called didn't answer and/or weren't available except A-Send Towing Service. Not only were they available, but they came in just half an hour after I called them! While it was a shame that I had to pay the towing fee to get my car moved two blocks to the mechanic shop, the guy let me drive with him and was extremely courteous and helpful. Had a dead battery due to a curious 3 year old's fascination with the light switches in our car. Send Towing had an operator to our house in Cap Hill less than 30 minutes after our call, and I was on my way again after just another 10 minutes. I don't normally (ever) write reviews but Simon at Send Towing was wonderful. The axle to my car just snapped this weekend and I am not a car person nor am I great in an emergency. But I saw the great reviews for Send Towing so I called them and they came in five minutes. They were kind enough to recommend a place to take my car for repair and told me that it should be fair and if it wasn't to let them know. Yesterday I broke down in the middle of Downtown DC. What made this a huge problem is that I live south of Richmond and I was on my way out of the city. So Im broken down on the side of the road and quickly did a search to find a good towing company with positive reviews. At the top of the list was Send Towing, so I called them to tow me. 20 minutes after I called, Simon pulled up and saved me. Not only is he one of the nicest people but he also towed my car to a friend's shop where he knew I'd get quality service at a fair price. When we pulled up at the shop he even pleaded with his friend to help. Mind you, it was 2:30pm and the day before 4th of July. The other day while ending a great weekend in DC, I learned that the Doubletree on Rhode Island Ave NW had lost my car key and that I would not be able to get home. The hotel called SendtowingDC and Simon was there in short order. He towed my car back to Richmond, VA and was able to put my car in it's parking spot like I drove it there. I needed a towtruck yesterday. After waiting 1.5 hours for the one the Volkswagen Roadside Assistance had called for me, I called in to check on the ETA. I was told that it would probably be another hour before the towtruck arrived. We all know what that means -- it would be more like another 1.5 hours (at least)! I started looking online for another tow company to save me, and on my second call, I wound up with Send Towing. They told me that they'd be there in 20 minutes. Much to my surprise, Send showed up in less than 15 minutes ... in rush hour and right as it was about to rain! The driver, Simon, was friendly and courteous. I highly recommend these guys. I arranged for a tow at the location where my car broke down. They showed up 15 minutes ahead of the time they said they would and even called to me to let me they were there and for me to take my time. Very pleasant guy, Simon, no drama or attitude. I like it when people do what they say they will do and, most importantly, maintain contact!!!! That's all it takes people! Very professional and it was clear to me that they have lots of experience towing cars judging from how accurately and how well Simon, the tow guy, maneuvered my vehicle in tight spots on narrow DC streets without causing any damage. I was out dropping off my dry cleaning. I got back to my van, only to find that it wouldn't start. As it turned out, the alternator was broken. After calling a few other services and either receiving no answer or being told that none of their tow trucks were available, I called Send Towing and they said that they would be there in 35 minutes. They kept true to their word, and a very friendly man named Simon came by and picked up my van after we tried using jumper cables first. He drove me and my van to an auto repair shop near where I'm living. He offered me a discount since I'm a slightly-paid intern as of the time I'm writing this, but I decided to go ahead and pay him full price since he'd been so helpful (and because Send Towing only accepts cash, and I didn't have any smaller bills anyway, but those are just semantics). Overall, I couldn't have asked for better help, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who finds him or herself in a similar situation. read more

I called Send Towing after being told by Auto Tech Service that no one he knew in this area would come out to do a jump start. The fellow at Send Towing said he could get here in 30 minutes and within 30 minutes he had indeed arrived. We have a Prius. The conventional battery that starts the gasoline engine had gone flat. This responded immediately with the jump but, being a Prius, it took a little extra time for the main engine to kick in. The whole process was complete within ten minutes. The serviceman was pleasant, experienced and, most important, saved our afternoon with his prompt help. I highly recommend Send Towing. read more
