I can't believe I'm leaving a positive review for a towing company but here we are. The complex I live at uses Battlefield Towing and they've honestly been pretty good. I pay extra money every month for a reserved parking space so when someone parks in my space it's a huge inconvenience. I've called them a few times in the past few years and they are usually prompt and tow the car quickly. read more

My friend parked outside my house, blocking only my own driveway to come in and drop something off, he was inside for about 10min and when we went outside his car was gone. The only way they could've pulled this off is if they were patrolling the neighborhood or had someone else patrolling and called a nearby tow truck. None of my neighbors called them and the car was blocking nothing except my empty driveway. When we get to their office location to pay and pick up the car.. nobody was there! We had to wait 45min for a tow truck to come back with another car and the driver charged us $180 to retrieve the car. Very disappointing that companies can get away with stuff like this. read more

I requested a tow because my car broke down on the side of the road on my way to work. Once the tow truck arrived, the driver was very rude, sarcastic, and had a very unnecessary attitude which I did not need nor appreciate. Before I could get out of the car, he was already trying to lift the car onto his truck. When you're calling someone to come and help you, you need just that, help; not poor customer service. The driver got out of his truck and approached my car. I asked if he wanted me to put the car in neutral and he responded, "Do you want a car?" I asked what he meant and he said, "What was your question?" So I repeated myself and he sarcastically and rudely asked again, "Do you want a car?". For both of our sakes, I remained silent the rest of the time but felt very uncomfortable and disrespected. The last thing you need when you're already having a bad morning is poor customer service along with an unnecessary attitude. read more

I live in an HOA and Battlefield Towing trolls our neighborhood constantly. They are not ethical nor do they serve any purpose in making our neighborhood better. They have towed my own car out of my own spot and when I called the HOA they had to return it but not until four hours passed and I was late for my appointment. Then they towed a visitor that was authorized to park in an assigned spot even though the owner moved their own car to a visitor's spot (open to everyone during the day) so they could park in front of their house. They are the very worst of legal criminals out there. Absolutely a scourge on society. And you have absolutely no recourse to make them right a situation when they are wrong. They operate without any boundaries or ethics. They should be ashamed. read more

This is a bottom feeding Predatory Towing company that works with crooked HOAs to rob/steal/extort. I live in the HOA. But had to park in a visitor spot since no spots were open. Their report is conflicting, I had been parked at best 10 minutes. (Yet they claim they towed it 15min earlier). From the tiniest technicality I didn't put a piece of paper that said "visiting xxx". They wait till the weekends early in the morning, particularity on Holidays (when they know the lot will be full) so that: A) You will not be around to move your car (they can not legally tow if you move your car). B) They can charge $25 for weekends, and $25 for more after hours. Make a complaint @: fairfaxcounty.gov/consumer/regulation_and_licensing/towing.htm To your HOA (and don't stop at the local office, someone is getting paid off there), go to the board members. To the police department for "Predatory Towing Practices". That is the only way they will stop, if you just silently go there and just pay it off they will just keep on doing this.. read more

One star because I can't put zero. The WORST. They towed my car from a visitors spot around 11:50-55 on a Sunday night knowing they could up charge me for "after hours" and "extra fee for weekend" the totally ended up at 185$. They forced me to pay with my card, ignoring the fact that my name wasn't under the title. I ended up leaving the towing yard at 1am after WAITING for some guy to show up. I live in an HOA community. Battlefield has a contract to tow vehicles in my community yet I call them about cars parked in the fire lane (marked NO PARKING) in my circle at least once a week over the past 2 months. They came out once after I made several calls that evening because a neighbor was having a party and several cars were parked illegally. One truck. Just one truck came out and tow...one car. No other truck came back to tow the rest. You figure that a towing company would want to make easy money. read more

This is what happens when Battlefield Towing tows your car, they evidently don't know or don't care that you have to tow an all wheel drive / 4x4 on a flat bed with all wheels off the ground. They drug my SUV's front tires on the ground until the rubber was worn down to the steel belts, my wheels were under so much pressure that the splines on the axel stripped and my SUV was totaled. They are a predatory company and so are the apartments that contract with them, like The Ashborough apartments in Ashburn, they come in the middle of the night like thieves and wait for someone to make a mistake so they can take your property and charge you to get it back. They are open 24hrs a day but charge a bogus after hours fee. When I tried to pay they said one of my cards wouldn't go through so I gave them another and it went through, but when I got my statement they had taken everything out of that first card $88 and still took the full $160 out of the second card. How is it in this country someone can come in the middle of the night and take your property and you have to pay to get it back, without any personal warning. These apartments that work with the tow companies, they will slap a notice on your front door in a heartbeat if you are late on rent or there is some other problem, but if you're about to get towed they don't say a word and turn a blind eye as these predators come in and run their scam. read more

Battlefield Towing is THE WORST group of con artists legally allowed to operate. They towed my friends car who mistakenly parked in a non-visitors spot (right next to the visitors spots) at my complex around 5am. I went there within an hour and they charged me $165 to release it. They had the car for an hour!! AN HOUR! I sit and watch them come to my complex and they only check the visitors spots, they don't tow the cars parked in residents spots in front of the buildings. People without permits know to park in front of the buildings cause Battlefield doesn't check; to much work I guess. The people who actually pay rent have to find other spots to park then get towed by Battlethieves Towing.. I actually watched a driver tow a car then BRING IT BACK cause apparantly he knew the guy and they sat outside and talked and smoked cigarettes then he left the car. 1 star cause I can't leave zero!! read more

Experience was absolutely dismal. They operate as a contractor for neighborhoods and tow vehicles even if they are registered to the house they're parked in front of, which mine was. Their customer service is some of the worst I've had to deal with. It's almost midnight and they've towed my legally parked car without notice (they're too lazy to run tags so they just tow whoever doesn't have the physical pass, which we aren't required to have). Without left information, I was forced to call the sheriffs office to get help finding my vehicle. Once found, I called a rather incompetent customer service rep who told me to go to their main building. A friend gave me a ride there and I found it was empty! I called the woman back and she said that the only person there was out on "patrol". She said she would dispatch another driver to meet me. The driver took over an hour to arrive, at which point it was after midnight. I would not recommend these people to change a light bulb, let alone service your vehicle. read more
