There are certain things I can't fault a business for. In this case I can't necessarily fault the business for letting mostly naked, drunk or otherwise unsavory folks hang out at their front door. What I can fault this place for is their food. This is another example of "I wish I checked Yelp! before I ordered". Ugh. Decided to come here because I was craving an elote, so my husband and I enter the location and right away from the outside you can tell they're busy. I seen about 4/5 people waiting for their orders as we entered, so I already knew it would take a couple minutes before receiving our food, after we placed our order. We decided to get 2 elotes (traditional & flamming) along with 3 Asada Tacos, & a horchata I want to say we waited around 20/25 minutes to get our food to us, once we did get the food. The elotes were really cold (I knew these would be done before the tacos & probably cold when we got them) my husband enjoyed his tacos and well even tho the elote was cold overall I liked it since because it satisfied my cravings. The flamming elote was good as well besides the cold part. They just need to fix the way they serve food and the the time it takes to get the food out. Me and my boyfriend decided to try this place out since it's been a rave for some time now. We ordered 2 asada tacos (1 with guacamole and 1 without), 1 asada potato, 1 traditional elote and 1 esquite flaming. Inside: Small hole in the wall with plenty of tables and high chairs as well as 5 booths. It's pretty clean inside. They have fountain drinks as well as a salsa bar near the register area. I was surprised about their huge clear and appealing menu that was easy to read. Outside: Small parking lot expecting we'd struggle to find parking on a Sunday but no problems at all. The presentation of the food look delicious. The carne asada tacos were okay. The tortilla was a little tough to eat; however meat and toppings were good. The asada potato was massive and I'm just glad we both got one to share. We didn't realize how much pico de gallo would be on it but for sure we'll let them know to hold off on it. Idk why I was expecting sour cream to go with the potato (I guess that's what I thought was missing) other than that it was okay. Definitely filling!! Terrible service. So I ordered through door dash 3 elotes on the cob but I got 3 elotes in cups instead...I was very disappointed as I was looking forward to the elotes the whole day!!! I would like to start off by saying that Dos Tacos is honestly a great food spot! They have delicious food! My boyfriend and I went here to eat and boy were we very happy with our food. We ordered asada fries and an asada quesadilla.. it was SOOOOO good! We use to think that Vallarta had the best quesadillas but we were wrong. We also loved that the employees were so friendly and it was so clean inside of the place. We will definitely be coming back here to eat. Keep up the amazing work! I would have gave it 5 star but I did not like the customer service at all. They have one cashier and 2 cooks. The cashier takes orders and also takes your food to your table too. I ordered a sope and when I bit it I tasted the veggies and beans so I got a fork and looked around and it hardly had any chicken in the sope! So I got up to show the cashier and asked her if they can add a little more and she said no because they're pre measured but said it annoyed or more like bothered because "I'm complaining" I'm not sure if they can exchange it for a different food item since she didn't really say anything else other than if I wanted more meat it's an extra charge which I wasn't paying another $4.00 so I was very disappointed. I've been here tons of times-- food is good. I had the most unfortunate experience today, that will probably be my last. Today food was picked up to-go. We ordered 4 different meals, including asada fries. When we got home and opened the food, the asada fries had a hair on them. I called to inform them that my fries had a hair and they told me to come back and exchange the fries. I asked if it was possible for me to perhaps pick it up at a later date since I live across town and they said no because they need me to bring the food and examine the hair to make sure it matches an employee's hair. I didn't even ask for a refund--I like their food so much I would have been ok with a free order in the future, but apparently they have no trust in their customers. From the second you walk in you feel so welcomed, the people behind the counter all greet you as you walk in, and even though they have to it feels real. The short and sweet menu makes decision making easy. Then you sit to wait for your food and the music playing makes you want to get up and dance! We ordered an Asada Torta which my BF said that it's probably the best in town! I had the Hot Cheetos Elote (duh!) and that was perfect! Now to the 4 star: I would've given this place a 5 BUT the oil they used to fry my bean and cheese burrito I order was either old or stale (not sure if that is possible) and I've only experienced that in one other place here in town... I ordered the carne asada fries and it was almost as disappointing as going to Taco Bell and expecting legit Mexican food. Came here yesterday with my boyfriend for Taco Tuesday and we absolutely loved the tacos ! $1 tacos (Asada or Chicken). If it ain't those 2..it's full price. My boyfriend and I ordered 2 Asada, 2 chicken, and 1 shrimp. The tacos for taco Tuesday are smaller than the regular priced ones (half as small) so don't expect $1 taco for regular tacos.
