    Ridiculous with very minimal veggies

So currently they're charging $20 for a vegetarian burrito. I think they're putting gold in there . $14 for a burrito. $3 dollar for a side of sauce and $3 for a side onions. This is ridiculous. And all they put in there is rice and beans and lettuce and sour cream. This is ridiculous. They make the food with no passion or love. The customers service horrible. It's. A new person everyone you go there. And their always moody and pissed of

    It was an alright torta.

I used to come here a few years ago and I remember it being a good afrordable late night spot. Recently we needed food kinda late in the area, so we gave it a shot. I expected things to be a little bit more expensive with inflation, but things were about double. I figured that was fine with me if the food is delicious and portions are good at least, but then we got our food and portions were not really changed at all. I ordered an asada torta for $12. It was really light on the meat and heavy lettuce. I just think for $12 at that point its more expensive than a sandwich from most businesses in the area and smaller. It was decent but nothing memorable about it. I think in a pinch, this spot is ok, but I wouldn't be a repeat customer unless I had no other options at this point.

Very disappointed, taco loco has let me down for the last time. A radish was bigger than the 1 slice of avocado seen here.

Taco loco has let me down for the last time. 1 thin slice of tomato, the bite of bone fragments in the meat. A few negative stars would be the best rating I'd give it. If u can find a better torta taco place go there avoid taco loco. Over priced and greasy old tasting food. The app is telling me to add a review of a star but really it's negative stars .!!!!!

The food is always amazing! I always have myself an Asada burrito and Asada sope!!! The meat is well seasoned and soft! The red salsa is yummy and perfect on the food. 10/10

First off wanted to say anybody looking to come to this taco truck needs to know all of their menu items prices increased by at least $2 so if they're thinking they're going to get a $7 plate of nachos look out it's $9. Second the customer service here has never been good and it hasn't changed the heavy-set guy who takes my order every time has an attitude and has a look on his face like he doesn't want to do his job. When I asked him to put the extra meat I was trying to get on my nacho plate on the side he said that's not possible. Reason I asked is because I never get extra meat when I pay for it forcing me to have to order a taco to make sure that I get my extra meat instead of buying extra meat. Third the nachos here used to be stacked to the top of the rim which is why I used to say these are the best nachos in town. The nachos you see here in this picture arent filled the way they used to be. For almost $10 a plate I expect them to be filled to the top every time. Food tasted the same which is why I gave you all 3 stars but please fix these issues. Just because fluffy put you on his show shouldn't give you giant heads

    Inside of asada burrito. Bomb!

This is my favorite taco truck in Bakersfield. I consider it the original (O.G.) Bakersfield taco truck. Over the years, taco trucks have popped up everywhere. This one is still the best in town in my opinion. They also have a building restaurant at a different location. I think the truck's food is fresher and better. I usually get the asada burrito with everything. The tacos here are really good too. The quality of the asada is consistently good. No nasty fat or gristle in the meat and the flavor is great. This is a huge problem that I encounter with other taco places/trucks. The other ingredients (rice, beans) also taste fresh. The area where this truck is located has gotten worse over the years due to the high volume of homeless people and the nearby seedy motel. I just get my food to go and get out of there quickly. As of today's date 05-23-19, the price of an asada burrito is $8.32. Thats with tax and everything. Considering how good the burrito tastes, I would say that is a fair price. Can you find a cheaper or bigger burrito at another truck? Sure, but I bet it won't be as good. I really like the radish slices, roasted chili pepper, lemon slice, green onion, and salsa cup that comes with each burrito. (See my photo). I like to squeeze a little lemon and salsa into each bite. Mmmmmmm! So good! Then I bite the pepper, radish, and green onion throughout. A couple of times, they didn't give me a chili pepper or lemon or something. If I don't notice until I get home, I get real bummed cause I gotta have it all to really enjoy it. So don't forget that stuff if you are listening El Taco Loco employees! Also, they don't put napkins in your bag so you got to remember to grab them from the dispenser by the window. Other than that, this place is awesome!p

It was fast and it was clean but the food is OK. Not worth the price my mom can make better tacos at home. Very over priced 4.50 for avocado

If you are dining in, someone comes inside to take your order, or you can wait outside for to-go orders. The day we went, the power to the building was out, so we ate in a cold room lit only by whatever gloomy light came in from outside. That didn't bother us, because things happen, and because the service was great anyway. I opted for the choriqueso style chilaquiles , bathed in a mix of gooey cheese and chorizo. You also have a choice of three different sauces (mild, medium, hot) eggs cooked to order, and beans. My food was delicious and flavorful, the medium heat was exactly that and I appreciated it. Eggs and beans were good too. They have a fridge with bottled drinks and a hot water container where you can make your own coffee. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and they even offered suggestions since it was my first time. The prices may be a little steep foot some, $45 for two people, but supporting local, delicious food is worth it! By the way, there is a $1 fee to use cards to pay, so bring cash or you also have the option to pay using Zelle. I will definitely be back soon.

It's really nice to have someone who really knows how to make fried rice. Moist without being greasy flavorful and plentiful! Next came the veggies, a great mix of carrots, zucchini , bell Peppers and onions. Cooked and crisp at the same time. Perfectly seasoned and not mushy. I was impressed.... Covered in a picante sauce ( hence the name) that was just short of sublime. Now. The star of the show. The shrimp and scallops. But on a recommendation from colleagues, I was told to make the trip to the central part of town and check out Birria Bros. I'm a convert: It's the best overall place I've had in town. Their menus is simple and laconic without a lot of options: You pick from taco, burrito, quesadilla, and flautas and then you pick the meat: birria, al pastor, or carne. No craziness or Flamin' Hot anything. This is my kind of establishment already. The service is no-frills: It's an iPad with a cashier, and you get one of those pager things that buzz/sound when your food is ready. And then your food gets prepared in the truck and served. This is all anyone needs in life. I enjoy their quesotacos. They're a bargain and a great size at that. But my favorite are the flautas: They're cruchy, creamy, and cheesy. The combos are good too because the rice and beans are tasty. Their orange-colored salsa is smoky but absolutely spicy - definitely use with caution but entirely worth the burn. I think the best thing about BB is the value, as you get a great product for what you pay. I wish they'd open a location on the Southwest.
