Literally drove past this place and luckily at that moment I was hungry and my eyes lit up when I saw Birria. Yes I know the Birria hype is dying down but I missed some Birria tacos. Checked this place out on Yelp right quick before I hoped in the drive thru line. Oh yes that's another reason why I pulled up. Drive thru. So American of me. Yelp reviews seemed more on the positive side and I read a lot about the great customer service. I ordered Birria tacos that comes with consome. A ham and egg breakfast burrito (it wasn't even breakfast time) Asada burrito. Hot Cheetos with cheese sauce. Now they have like the "flamin" menu where like they put hot cha chas on everything. But that was sooo like 2018 and I was burnt out on that food phase but it was still cool too see that as a menu. I ordered an horchata and I was scared yall! For me ordering horchata at any place... it's a hit or miss. Mostly a miss! I can count two places that have the best horchata and I've been to a lot of Mexican joints but now I can say 3 places! Cuz man this horchata was fuego! I was so happy cuz I was like man if the food is trash at least the horchata was good. Okay so my total came out to like $30 ish dollars. Kinda pricey but I blame the pandemic. Now honestly for the food I'm giving it 3 STARS. The burrito would have been good if the meat was fresh. The meat was hard and oily like they over cooked it or this was yesterday's meat and they re heated it. I wish I took a picture cuz I know y'all know what I'm talking about. I then tried to make up for it by dumping salsa on it but that didn't even help cuz the salsa was eww. Very light and watery. Well the green salsa was. The Birria tacos, Yelp reviews you guys tricked me. Someone on here said it was the best they ever had and I really wanna say y'all had Covid didn't you ? Ruined y'all's taste buds. It wasn't nasty or horrible. It was edible but not satisfying. I didn't even eat the second one. It was alright. Something about it was off. I think the cheese. My daughter has the breakfast burrito but she think every thing nasty so I cannot comment on that. She did love the hot cha chas and cheese. Typical tween. So 3 stars but I gave it one extra star for the Horchata ANd the customer service. The woman who took our order was very helpful and nice! Bakersfield is not in my area so most likely I won't be back but if I am in this area I'll be back for just the horchata and maybe some hot cha chas read more

Food is bland but my major issue is they never get my order right. I don't know if it's a language barrier but when I ask for meat and cheese only burrito it shouldnt come with beans or rice. 14$ for a burrito twice now is crazy. Had some good hangover Menudo. I really enjoyed the quality and detail. The homany and tripe was perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Hit and miss some time the menudo is the best and some times it's watered down. I would ask before ordering.

I went tonight and had fabulous service from a new worker named Isabel, she was so helpful. The food was good as usual!

He ordered 2 chorizo breakfast burritos. This has to be the worst food I've ever eaten. First of all, their "breakfast burrito" doesn't even have eggs in it. As part of my family's "Pandemic Drive-Thru Adventure" we saw that Tacos El Toro had a second location on Wible with a drive thru and hopped on the chance to get some good eats. We've been back a few times and have gotten the tortas, tacos, combo platos and fries and I've gotta say, it's all super good. The food tastes authentic and the portions are great! We stopped by to get some carne asada fries dont know if they are connected but we just went to the one off of ming. First of all they are not even fries they are potatoes cut up. The beans are not even smashed straight out of a can or a pot. Jalapenos really who does that ....When i go to OC i will show you guys what real carne asada fries look like. Today I was in a hurry. Like I needed lunch for my staff ASAP. The place opens and 10am. I'm not lying when I tell you that by 10:12 I was walking out of that restaurant with lunch for 10 coworkers, with all the sides and salsas and lemons and drinks. The food was delicious and good portion amount, the salsas are tasty too. The whole staff was pleased with the taste and honestly the price was great too. I was impressed today. The taco specials are a great deal, but their 3 taco meals, rice, beans and a drink is only 6.50. You cant even get a meal at a fast food restaurant that inexpensive anymore. read more

The girl at the window was really nice! So that's cool ( : I ordered a wet burrito w/ asada. I didn't really enjoy it, I told my cousin after we finished it we shouldn't come here anymore bc something was off with it and they don't give chips w/ your burrito :/ Since abt 10pm I've had the worst stomach pain. Completely garbage I ordered asada nachos and they didn't put asada then when I show my receipt and ask for my order to be fixed they didn't want to fix it and just ask me if they can add asada on my nachos that were soggy and not fresh anymore after i had to drive back there from home. So I waited at the window for her to come back to ask for more she took another order saw me waiting and still didn't open the window Then when she dis she already knew what I was going to ask because she gave me 1 more without having to ask and closed the window immediately. Dissappointed for the last time.... This review is for the Ming Ave location. I've been there multiple times the past few months and have received such awful service, I felt inclined to review after today's disappointment. First off, never order their menudo unless you enjoy it without hominy. Even after asking and paying for extra hominy, there was none. Having learned my lesson after this happened TWICE before, I checked the cup before driving away and sure enough, no hominy again. What the heck?! Secondly, I ordered a torta combo for the hubby and didn't get the taco that comes with it, plus the torta was haphazardly thrown together with the bread bent and the avocado looking mushy and brown. I wish we took pictures so you can see I am not exaggerating. Needless to say, we will not be back. La Villa down the street is 100% better, but they don't have a drive thru so I guess we paid the price for convenience ha! read more

Their food: I tried most of the food in their menu, my favorite is tripa taco & burrito w no cilantro & no bean- tripa is a great amount of crunch and i can see that they clean the tripa pretty well!! Carne asada tacos taste great! Not dry not too juicy. Menudo, it have great taste but can be a bit too salty. Service: The ladies that work there are nice, one of them lack of experience. The problem is that they take too long to take the orders, therefore customers get unpatient or even angry at them. Also they can messed up your order if there is too many customers. Went here about 11:40am on a Saturday. Ordered #1 combo plate, 3 Tacos with drink - they forgot to give me my drink (I didn't bother to return after I realized about a block away that I was still thirsty). I also ordered a Pastor Wet Burrito. The burrito tasted okay, it was plenty hot when I arrive home 7 minutes later. However, after making it through about 1/4 of the burrito, I started to feel some crunching in my mouth.. it didn't feel right at all. I don't know for sure, but it tastes as if someone dropped some food product on the dirty floor and continued to serve it. I got a lot of grit, sand or dirt on my teeth while trying to eat the burrito. I have worked in restaurants before (Non-fast food) and know what my burrito should have been like. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and return, but with my and reading about other bad experiences from people, I most likely will not. +1 Star for "okay" priced menu. -4 Stars for all problems mentioned above. read more

I would love to tell you how the other burritos taste but I can't seem to order anything but the chorizo, it is that good. Wished it had opened April 1 because the food was a joke. They had there grand opening today. They had 50¢ Asada tacos. The asada meat was well marinated but the tortillas were to bland. The red salsa has a sweet almost tangy taste to it that I was in happy about. I also had an El Pastor that tasted like something I've never had before and tripas I didn't care for as much. I come here for the Horchata! It's delicious. This evening I got the nachos for the 1st time. Chips - store bought Beans - tasted canned Guacamole - no comment because I couldn't taste it, I see it in my nachos, it doesn't look like a mashed Avocado. Carne - taste isn't bad but they really skimped on the meat. Cheese- I asked for shredded, there was hardly any and I wouldn't have known until eating through since the entire top portion was smothered in Sour cream. The wait was not long at all the speaker system in drive thru was so clear. The food was delicious I got the carne asada plate and it came with fresh flower tortillas and a lil salad with avocado. I've been coming here on and off for the last 4 years. It seems it's only getting worst. The price was reasonable back then but now it's overpriced. The food quality is going down hill, They literally put 2 small thin slices of avocado's like the size of a lays chips. There barely any meat in the tortas. All you taste is the beans and tomatoes barely any meat at all. The restaurant is always clean so that's good. Also when you ask for extra green/red sauce they're only giving you like one spoon serving in a tiny container. If you are going to charge $8 dollars for a torta at least make it worth it. read more
