It's probably been a year since I've came here and the all meat burrito is $17!!!!! Omg, I have to make life choices when ordering a burrito lol. Over the years the burrito they've gotten much smaller. If you don't care about the price this place has good food. I like the 1300 e Truxtun location better than the other truxton location. The environment looks like a Mexican household kitchen. Good service here is a thing of the past, they just take your order like robots. There's only one good thing I can say. The green sauce on the wet burrito is fantastic. Tasty and not spicy! There is a lot I don't like. I got a asada wet burrito green. The burrito was not hot at all...the cheese barely melted. Not even the meat. That's a no no. Also, There's a ton of fat on the asada. I kept having to stop and pull chucks of fat out my mouth. Ruined the experience completely. As well as the asada was missing season. Very plain. The only way this burrito could have been saved.....was to go home warm it up and throw some seasoning on it. But still the amount of fat on the asada is disrespectful. Haha But my sister likes the Chile verde wet burrito, but I never tried it. Needless to say, I won't be going back. I've driven past this little "hole in the wall" many times, never giving it a 2nd thought, but today a friend brought me here for lunch & I was glad she did! The staff was really nice, quick to make the food & was constantly cleaning.. (big plus)! Though the place could use some remodeling/updating/up-keeping/patching up/window-gluing back into the window pane...the food was really good.! We shared the carne asada torta & the carne asada nachos. The menu is simple, inexpensive. There was a few fatty pieces in the meat, to be expected, but otherwise, I'll add this place to my lunch options. You should, too.! read more

Without question the WORST Mexican food I've ever eaten. STAY AWAY from this place!! Burrito tortilla was hard and chewy in parts. Carne asada was mushy AND parts were tough. Awful flavored. The tripe was incredibly greasy and likely not even fresh. The topping on the nachos was not even real cheese; rather, some fake cheese substitute like Velveeta. This place is a dive. Let me start by saying that I am wayyyy partial to the other super Taco. I also had a bad experience here previously but decided to give this place another try. My bf and I came on Valentine's Day and it was dead, but for some reason it took twenty minutes for them to make my Carne Asada fries. That alone made me not want to come back. However, I came back yesterday because I was looking for a place close to my house that has Carne Asada fries. I thought, why not? If they mess up again I just won't come back. I came through the Drive thru and was pleasantly surprised. Although it is a small space and there is no speaker box, they take your order at the window. The girl was pretty nice and we didn't wait anymore than seven or eight minutes for our two orders of fries, three tacos, and large Horchata. The food was excellent. All I got was an order of fries, but it was definitely enough food for a meal. It could be enough for one really hungry person or even two people! Red sauce is awful. And no sprite. Lol more of my thing but why don't all places carry sprite. Sierra Mist and 7up are torrible. Overall just bad. The cashier girl was so high it was crazy. I ordered a basic bean and cheese burrito from this location early in the day for take out. I was about 3/4 of the way through the burrito and bit into some type of spring/small metal sliver. In all honesty the food was good up until I bit into the small piece of metal. I will not be returning to this location, I don't particularly like metal in my food. I have not had a more delicious, authentic, mouth watering burrito anywhere else in town, yet. So I continue to get my burritos here. The place is a small, mom and pop type hole in the wall restaurant, but they have delicious Mexican food. Their horchata is homemade and had the perfect balance of cinnamon and leche. Also, their red salsa is sooo good, but make sure you like really spicy, because it is HOT. I definitely recommend the food. The only slight downfall is their location. It's on a pretty bad side of a town, lots of crime and homeless people. The surrounding area is quite dirty and the restaurant isn't the prettiest. Also, their restroom is located outside, in the back of the restaurant. But their food definitely makes up for it. Oh and also!! They are now making breakfast all day!! My family and i have been going here for over 15 years. Not so often any more since we moved from the east side. The whole 15 years 5 stars!! The guys in the back always friendly ! Amazing burritos!!! And amazzing tacos!! I recently went back this past month about 3 times and i noticed they hired two different girls. Which it's always been family attending to the customers. To get to the point .. They are rude. Iam shocked that the family would allow such bad horrible customer service at their restaurant. Out of the hundreds of girls in Bakersfield with good attitude they hired them -.- If it wasn't for the love i have for those tacos my mother and i would never go back. I cannot believe this place is open. Worst service ever. I pulled up in the drive through and the lady tried giving me food without ordering . I went and ordered nachos and tacos Togo and came home to find the driest coldest tacos and didn't even have the topping on them. Just the tortilla and the meat. When I moved on to my nachos I open a container with a big blob of orange sauce as if it had got dumped on accident and left there anyways. When I called them to let them know what had happened and that I wasn't looking to get my money back but to have them fix their problems. the manager Jose tried to tell me that the food was supposed to be like that and that I should read the menu next time. In the history of tacodom, the tacos at Super Taco are the best in the world. Seriously. I have had tacos in 14 countries, 37 states and everywhere in Mexico. I have had them off pushcarts, food trucks, fancy restaurants, you name it, and nothing compares to Super Taco. The best meats, the best add-ons. Okay the corn tortilla is nothing special but is fresh and moist and the perfect complimentary companion as it does not detract from the fillings. They allow the meats to shine and be the star of the show. While the quality of the various meats are all top notch; tasty, tender, perfectly cooked the quantities in each taco are amazing. You know how some places you have to push the onion & cilantro around to find the meat? At Super Taco you have to eat a little meat to make room for the fresh and finely chopped perfect ratio of onion to cilantro that they serve. The sauces are both excellent - spicy without requiring a hazmat uniform and fire extinguisher. So stop reading and go get you some. p.s. the chili relleno taco? I could just eat a whole plate of these. Be sure to order one. Your friend doesn't like tacos? Get them the chili relleno taco. Ate here yesterday with the wife. We ordered 2 burritos to go. I had the tripas and the wife had the carnitas. For the money it was a pretty good value as the burritos were very large. They had a condiment bar with all the different chili salsas you could want. The place was very clean. The food tasted good and home made and fresh. The menu was simple and easy as I don't care for overly complicated menu boards. So when I'm in the area,at least I know now where I can get a good burrito at a good price. read more
