Ok, to be fair we only got some bagels to go this morning. The people were very friendly and it looked like a nice little spot. But the three bagels we got were all quite terrible. Blueberry, plain, and everything- how can an everything bagel lack flavor? I have no idea, but at DOS, it does. Maybe they make a killer cold brew or have a bangin glass of vino, but they surely do not know how to make a bagel. If you are in the mood for an epic Jewish Breakfast Bun, skip DOS! read more

I visited this place on a short stop to St Augustine and was only inside for a few minutes. But the coffee was excellent - I had a double espresso. And made very quickly. The space looks like a great place to work too with plenty of natural light and tables inside and outside. read more

Placed an order for a very simple espresso. Never would have guessed it would take almost 15 minutes for such a simple coffee. Was not really that tasty either. We previously loved this place for the dessert, coffee and atmosphere. Till today, we came in and was greeted with we are closing in 15 minutes so we are closing down- we asked about coffee, the young man repeated telling us on how they closed down, and how long he had been there so he wanted to get home on time. Dos was conveniently located near our Hotel and we enjoyed the experience. Great eclectic spot with great customer service. The food was great we ordered the ham & Swiss roll and they were light, fluffy, flaky and delicious! Based on a Danish, a coffee, service and atmosphere, this first-timer is going in with a 5-star. I got a simple house blend coffee. Very good. The blueberry Danish was excellent...flaky phyllo, with a cheesy and blueberry center. The open seating isn't private, but it is comfortable and inviting. Have a seat, maybe make a friend, or just watch the traffic on upper San Marco. Service was friendly and helpful. Finally, throw in the taps, wine, domestic cans in the cooler, and a Happy Hour, and I think I have to return for a taste of the night life here. I feel a relaxed craft brew sipping coming on. What a gem! Came in trying to waste some time before the Ripley's ghost tour. Absolutely loved that they didn't have factory boxed wine like, St Michelle. On the menu, Waterbrook Merlot from an actual winery that crushes their own grapes, full of flavor and from my home state, WA. We arrived at Dos while trying out Uptown Scratch Kitchen. I had not planned on coffee but couldn't resist after going into their beautiful space. It is warm, open, and inviting. I could see many nice mornings or afternoons spent sitting in the peace and quiet. I asked the barista for the strongest coffee and she referred me to the cold brew. It was quite good, I believe an Ethiopian coffee. They have a station setup so you can prepare your coffee as you please. Last but not least the food, I didn't have space for a meal but we ordered a guava cheese pastry for later (under $2.50). After an entire day in the bag, we heated it up at night and it was unbelievable. I shared it with a Cuban friend and she claimed it rivaled some of her favorites from back home in Miami. Nice spot with plenty of places to work and hang out. I had to sit outside as all of the seats were filled around noon on a Wednesday in the summer. No biggie. This was my first time at this coffee house & I came in very happy with my family who was visiting from California. Dos came highly recommended by friends & family. Plus I had a gift certificate from my sister, so I happily drove over 40 miles to check this place out. Living in an area with amazing coffee choices and great customer service, I was very excited to come and try their beverages, the Creme de la Cocoa desserts they offer and have a great coffee experience. We stopped in on the first Saturday night of the new year around 6 o'clock really excited to try the desserts and the coffee. I knew about their talented pastry chef and couldn't wait to try his offerings paired with Dos coffee. When we were making our order, the two young girls behind the counter seemed flustered, confused, unfocused & irritated. Not friendly at all. Pretty bothered actually... Then, as we were deciding on which coffee to order with no attempt from any staff member to explain the types of beverages offered nor the process--the one girl who was taking our order (or so I thought) jumped up on the back counter to hang a coffee sign on the wall as if we weren't just standing there ready to ask about the desserts in the case or hey, possibly about the plethora of beverages on the walls. OK....I was actually in the middle of a question. After deciding on our own what to order, I had to tell the one girl my order a couple of times to make sure she got everything--which she didn't. I was told they didn't have drip coffees and they were all done as pour overs. OK, no big deal. I ended up ordering five mini dessert cups (Florida Native, Salted Caramel Cup, Raspberry and Cream, Midnight Espresso and another with rum?) on the top row of the refrigerated case, the "Snowball" & a Red Velvet Cheesecake, five gourmet truffles, two pour overs, one hot chocolate and two lattes. Besides the very impersonal service that we received, long wait time for our beverages because both of the girls behind the counter were "distracted?" and the lackadaisical attitude of the staff, I'm not sure if I would go back. No doubt that this is a hip, beautiful space with both inside and outside seating. It has tons of potential as the desserts and the coffee are very high quality. However, based on the horrible service and spending my $25 Gift Card plus an additional $39.96 ($64.96 total not sure how that was calculated)--I was just extremely disappointed. Very cute and hipster cafe with a chill vibe. The chai latte was good, but the coffee cake was a little dry. Seems like their bakery is made in bulk and over time dries out, so not freshly made. I came in to study, but there were NO visibly outlets for me to plug in my computer. Outside or in. Towards night time the place is a little too dimmed for studying. The cafe seems a little more for chilling and talking with friends. There were 2 average noise groups. No bother to me, but might be different for someone else there to study. read more

Came here on a Sunday brunch tour with The Tasting Tours. This was our 2nd stop. My husband ordered a cup of the Sumatra (I think) and I got a mimosa with a candied hibuscus flower in it. It was called something Royal. We also got to sample the turkey and brie sandwich. The hibiscus mimosa was delicious and the server made me promise to eat the flower when I was done drinking it. I promised and ate it. It was delicious and had an interesting texture that I liked!! For a flower soaking in liquid, it was surprisingly kind of crispy/chewy and sweet! The sandwich was also delicious with fresh bread that was pressed and creamy brie cheese with yummy preserves and thick cut turkey. The owner had come out and talked to us for a bit about how her and her husband had gotten started on the coffee shop and she seemed really nice, genuine and friendly. She even had her baby sleeping in the back room where they store the coffee! She was really cute and woke up while we were there so the owner brought her out to meet all of us. I really thought that was nice and hope their establishment does well. Inside, it has a really cool atmosphere with comfy couches and different seating areas where it looks like a lot of people hang out and get on their wifi. We sat outside which has a nice patio with large picnic tables and of course hisbiscus bushes all around! read more

I enjoy DOS, or maybe I should call it 'Dose', because they serve a bit of medicine for whatever mood you happen to be in. They're open at 7am weekdays to serve coffee to get you going on the way to the work. They've got lighter breakfast food and sandwich choices if you're a bit hungry (and an outstanding food truck parked outside if your hunger isn't so light). If you're way amped up after work and need to wind down, you can get a spot of tea or an adult beverage and relax by yourself at a small table or the bar, or with friends over on a leather couch. If you need a little excitement, on the weekends they have live music from local entertainers. I've been tied to this neighborhood for years, so I've tried pretty much everything in DOS except the wine by now. My new favorite is to come in for a chai, which is wonderful to sip and relax. I find DOS's vibe chill enough in the morning and early afternoon to do that, or pull out the laptop and get some work done, or have a good normal-volume conversation. The seating is open, which might not be a good match if you need it to be super-quiet. There's ample parking next to the building, which seems somewhat less ample on Friday and Saturday nights when the musicians are around. Speaking of that, check the schedule and try to come when the bluegrass players are around. That's a lot of fun because it's not just a band playing - it's a jam session with the community! read more
