Really cute place with a little store and eatery. There was a pretty extensive sandwich menu- we decided on the Dorset Peddler and the crispy chicken wrap. The sandwiches were hot, packed, fresh, and flavorful. They came with seasoned crispy chips that made the perfect side. There were also a ton of desserts to choose from that all looked fantastic- we decided on the pumpkin cheesecake. The pumpkin on top was made of pumpkin-flavored frosting which I thought was a cute extra touch. The cheesecake itself had great texture. I wish it had more of the cream cheese frosting and I wish it was a little less pumpkin spice tasting versus just pumpkin. Overall a very cute place everyone should check out!

Leaf-peeping drive via Dorset quarries. Stopped in Dorset Bakery for a quick snack. Terrific coffee and blueberry muffins, plus friendly service.

Sit for Coffee, grab a cupcake with a friend, have a lunch with a colleague, gather with family for a cozy breakfast or lunch. From great coffee to homemade cupcakes, cookies, pastries, cakes, breakfast to lunch and more! This is THE place to go!! Kind staff, indoor & outdoor seating. Indoor is cozy and comfortable. Ample seating inside as well for 40+ people (I counted chairs ). You can't go wrong!

I am so glad I turned around to eat here! Inside is super clean and welcoming. The coleslaw was amazing!! Dogs are allowed on patio as well. Not a lot of seating options inside but has a big patio. Dogs are allowed on the patio.

It was the perfect setting for a memorable holiday dinner. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with friendly, attentive service from our server, Jamie. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and rich with history, making us feel like we had stepped back in time. We started with an Old Fashioned made with Smugglers' Notch bourbon for me and a refreshing Blueberry Refresher for my wife. The homemade cranberry fritters served with Vermont maple butter were an outstanding way to begin the meal. Next came bowls of the delicious Cheddar & Ale Onion Soup, followed by the Maple Butter & Walnut Encrusted Brie served with Vermont apples and toasted baguette--an excellent combination of sweet, savory, and crunchy flavors. Our entrees were preceded by fresh field greens salads with balsamic vinaigrette and blue cheese crumbles, along with warm, freshly baked bread. I thoroughly enjoyed the Traditional Pot Roast--tender brisket slow-cooked in the tavern's Circa 1790 Amber Ale with rich pan gravy. My wife chose the Scrod with pumpkin seeds, butter, Chardonnay, and lemon, which was perfectly prepared and beautifully balanced. To finish, we shared the Cranberry & Apple Crisp topped with local vanilla ice cream and whipped cream--a fittingly New England ending to an exceptional meal. The combination of outstanding food, welcoming hospitality, and the unique historic atmosphere made for a wonderful dining experience. If you're visiting Manchester, Ye Olde Tavern is well worth a visit, especially if you're looking to enjoy classic Vermont cuisine in one of the state's most historic settings.
