These guys are really amazing! I got their number through a screen repair company and wasn't sure what to expect. We have had Door Problems come out to Service two sliding glass doors and make two sliding screen doors as well as change the sliding door handle to a locking handle. While the work they did on the rollers to make the doors slide smoothly was great, they consistently have a failure to make sliding screens work on the first or second go around. And we got a run around and delay after delay on installing a key lock which never occurred. They stated they broke two locks trying to make it happen. These folks are supposed to be the subject matter experts in this field and I have a hard time understanding how they could fail. I left messages for them and did not receive a phone call back which is also rather infuriating when I'm trying to get an understanding as to why they cannot seem to do the work that is their profession. If you're only looking to get your sliding glass door to roll much smoother than these guys are probably your company to call but if you asked them to do anything outside of that "buyer beware." In my mind, I now clearly understand why their company is named Door Problems because they seem to create as many as they solve. We had to follow up several times on most every aspect to get work done and their response rate is poor at best. read more

Randomly I found these folks in a home improvement magazine that generally goes from the mailbox to the circular file. We had a sliding door that could literally throw your back out when you tried to open it. Decided to call and right off the bat was very happy with their customer service. I hired DP to fix a slider that would not slide. Their ad promises to make your door slide with one finger, I didn't believe it, but they delivered. I can open and shut my slider so easily I had to adjust my pull so I wouldn't send it slamming into the wall. I also felt that their pricing was fair and reasonable. So, overall they delivered and I am a happy customer. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they didn't show up in masks and didn't seem concerned about following Covid protocol. After I requested masks and booties inside the house they complied with no problems. Polite, Responsive via text and just all around great guys. Yesterday I had a quote to fix my door and the guy said I need a new sliding glass door and it would come out to $4000 dollars. I got a quote from Jim at Door Problems and the same job would be $1695. Jim told me that I could probably just replace the rollers for $195 and that's all I would need. Later the same day Chris came over (who was polite and professional) and installed the rollers. In about half an hour the new wheels were installed and the door from the 1960's was working like it was factory new. These guys saved me $3850 dollars. Will I use them again? You bet! I plan on having them replace all my windows with those new fangeld dual pane windows some day. I cannot recommend these guys enough. It's hard to find honestly in businesses these days. Had to get a sliding door fixed arranged through my landlord but there were some payment discrepancies after the job and the technicians were extremely rude and started to dismantle everything before we could even sort things out. We did not even say we were not going to pay so they could have just waited a few minutes before they threatened to take everything down. I'm not sure about others experiences but at least for my family, we had a terrible experience with them and will not be using them in the future. Wow, these guys rock! From the first phone call and conversation with Jim I had a great impression of their business. I wanted some info on servicing a 37 year old large sliding glass door at a rental property my family owns. Jim explained their tune up service and everything seemed reasonable. I called back the next day to book a service call. Shaun answered promptly and scheduled an appointment for the next day. I want to mention that I called three vendors on the same day initially. Only Door Problems answered their phone. I left a message with the other two vendors on voice mail and after 72+ hours neither have called me back. How do guys like that stay in business??? I called. An appointment was made. Two polite sons of the owner were on time, and expediently changed out the rollers on 2 -12 ft. sliders. This enabled us to clean the tracks thoroughly while they worked. Fortunately, the tracks were still good. Both sliding doors glide like new. My only concerned was that they didn't lay some padding down on the patio,should the doors have slipped or scraped while they were moving the doors around as they changed out the rollers. Recently the rail on our sliding door (approximately 15 years old) was damaged and would not close. Called Door Problems on a Saturday and talked to James. I was able to schedule an appointment for the following Monday. Chris was scheduled to do the work. I took a few pictures of the damaged rail and the type of door. I text-ed them to James so he would have a better idea of the problem. After James reviewed the photos, he informed me that the quoted price would be a little higher because the damaged rail needed to be replaced and asked if I still wanted to keep the appointment. The original quote just included replacing the rollers on the old door. Not the best news to hear, but I was glad James provided any additional costs up front. I agreed to the new quote and kept the appointment because I wanted to replace the old rail to prevent this same problem from happening again. On Monday, Chris showed up and worked on the door. In about 1.5 hours he had the door working better than ever. Chris kept the area clean and left the sliding door track cleaner than we've ever seen it. He was also able to improve the lock mount on the bottom track by installing a couple of screws to secure it. The new rail that was installed was of better quality than the original rail. Highly recommend! Moved into our 1956 home back in late October, and the very large, very vintage sliding glass patio door has never opened without intense struggle. Like the rest of the house, it was woefully in need of some TLC. Initially, I'd gotten some estimates on replacing the door - and they ranged from $2500 to ridiculous. Finally, after some searching I came across this company. By this time, the aluminum framing around the door was literally coming off the glass. I called Door Problems to see if they could repair it. I spoke to Chanel on Monday, who said that it sounded like the rollers needed to be replaced and that the basic service would include cleaning, and replacing the rollers. Made the appointment for today (Thursday). The tech was scheduled to arrive between 11 and noon. He showed up promptly at 1120pm. Chris did a fabulous job cleaning the tracks and replacing the original rollers (which were so worn out they were flat in placed and didn't actually roll any more). OMG!! These guys are great. Called in and described problem with main sliding 5' door, which required two hands to open. Another two doors were also irritating to open. That gave me estimates on all three doors over the phone. They were out two days later, on time and ready to roll with all the parts for the job. They removed the doors and explained repairs. We had several windows that had lost their seal and contacted Door Problems to replace them. They made an appointment to measure and the replacements were installed to perfection. Approximately 2-3 months after installation one of the replaced windows began to lose its seal. I have been chasing Door Problems since October 2019 with no resolution. Had an old, very large aluminum sliding glass door unit that for years was hard to open. Finding someone who would work on this unit was not easy. Pacific Coast was recommended by another glass company, and when I called, they were happy and eager to do the work. This was a custom unit by a company now out of business. PCSD promptly arrived later the same day, assessed the situation, identified suitable replacement parts (rollers) and did the repairs and installation, including having to take a non-sliding panel out in order to repair the damaged sliding door. These 2 guys were great. Really immersed themselves into the best solution for the situation and got the job done at a very reasonable cost.
