I stopped by this Donuts Plus location to get some donuts and hot chocolate. I went with the glazed donut, chocolate glazed donut and a small hot chocolate. The gentleman working this morning was friendly with me. There many parking spots here and be aware that they charge a small fee if you pay with credit card. The man working didn't fill my cup fully with the hot chocolate but I was whatever with it. The inside dining here is not that big but I think most people just get their donuts or coffee and then just leave. The hot chocolate was delicious and the donuts was alright. read more

I can't remember when I first had one of Hank's donuts but I do know that there is only one donut shop that I use to take all four of my kids Joshua, Breanna, Quinton & Sarah to since they were born and that's Donuts Plus. Josh is 33 now and I haven't lived in Simi for over 10 years but when I'm in town I always stop by to say Hi and pick up donuts and/or pizza rocks; because there is no place that comes close. By far my favorite donut shop in Simi Valley. This place usually has a small line during the week and a long line on weekends, especially in the morning. All of their donuts are fresh, yet they make a enough not to sell out so soon that you can't show up after 10am. The standard round glazed is my favorite. Melts with each bite. The inside decor is your basic donut shop, they also have boba drinks that I haven't tried yet. There are bench seats outside and inside seating for small groups. Delicious and fresh donuts! This was my first time going to Donut Plus, and the photos from Google reviews caught my eye with the fruity pebble donuts. I was surprised not to see them here on Yelp, so a photo was needed I ordered two fruity pebble donuts, a glazed old fashioned, and a dozen donut holes. I came around noon, and not only were there lots of options, but the donuts were fresh and soft. My boyfriend and his mom also really enjoyed the donuts, so I'm sure many people will like them! We've been regular, almost daily customers here for years. We spend generously and we tip generously. The decline quality and freshness has been getting worse and worse each visit. Finally hard, stale, dry donuts on todays visit. They served them anyway. Horrible and they know it and simply do not care. We'll never step foot in Donuts Plus again. Only reason for 3 stars is because I asked for an additional box (very nicely) to put a side of dozen donut holes and three extra croissants (that I was given in separate paper bags) and the man told me no, and I needed to purchase another 4 dozen donut holes to get another box?? I am new to the area and I absolutely adore Simi Valley and everyone has been so kind in all of the retail restaurants and stores I've been to. Sadly donuts plus on Erringer is the only place that has not been that way. They are very rude and nasty. They make you feel like they dont want to help you, like you are a bother to them. I have a sick daughter at home who wanted something fun and special in the way of donuts. She found pics and menu of their donuts online and was so excited. Once I got there I learned they were sold out of some of the items from the online photos, so I asked to see some other special items and they just got more annoyed. I asked what time I should come the next day to beat the rush and get them before they were sold out again and they (the Husband & wife?) were annoyed once again. We were even willing to prepay and order in advance, but they they wanted to know how many dozens of each I would like. I said only 1 single each as I have never tried before. So the Husband was annoyed again. It was a very sad experience. There are so many donut shops in Simi but I chose them because of their photos. My experience was so bad I will never go back. I stopped by to get a couple doughnuts with my kid and I, special a couple chocolate bars, a crumb and orange glaze. I go to pay and the total is $11 and some change for four run of the mill doughnuts. I figured because of COVID and all that most places prices have increased but not $2.50+ a doughnut, but I already had them and wasn't going to be a "Karen" about it. Now here's where the 1-star rating comes in, I didn't have enough cash so I wanted to pay with a card (seems to be the preferred choice of payment for most places now due to "no-contact") I see a sign that says a .35 fee will be added, okay I get that. But then I pay and my total is $15.90!!!!!! How can you go to $11 and some change to $15.90 with just a ".35" service fee? Even with tax, service fee and the other made up COVID fees I don't see how you can justify paying almost $4.00 a doughnut for your generic, run of the mill basic doughnut. I've learned my lesson and will no longer be going to this doughnut shop. read more

We were recommended Donuts Plus by our wedding coordinator, Annette, who'd just done another wedding with their donuts. Henry, the owner, was really easy to work with and accommodated our special requests -- it was a St. Patrick's Day wedding, so he did some awesome green donuts! Not only were the donuts delicious (no joke, we were eating them 3 days later and they still tasted fresh), but it's hard to beat the price. Very consistent donuts. I stopped here one night on a whim and figured I'd see what they had for donuts. It was late at night so, the selection was poor (as to be expected). However, the donut was good. Today, I went here again and got the same donut. It tasted like the one I had the first time. Good. So, I am old, and I remember buying the pizza rock at Ernie's when I was a kid. Eating pizza rocks is one of my favorite childhood memories. I even tried to learn to make them myself, but I never got the dough quite right. Went with my kids this week. I was impressed at their attempts to be more interesting than the average donut store. They had some fun ones like at California Donuts in Los Angeles, donuts with fruity pebbles, etc. Maple bars with bacon, etc. It was New Years Day, and it was packed at 8am, but they were well stocked. The stores by my house often sell out of stuff early, so I was impressed by their stock. read more
