Donut star especially the one in Tustin has amazing quality donuts! Everyone here greets you with amazing customer service and their donuts are equally as great. Their donut holes are the best in town and their original glazed found the perfect balance between doughy and airy. Also anything remotely cinnamon flavor you see at the store here I suggest you get, they pack it with cinnamon!

This is one of our absolute favorite donut places. The owner, Mei (hope I spelled that correctly) and her family are absolutely wonderful and caring. Can't say enough about them. There are many loyal customers that frequent this place, and I totally understand why. I don't think there has been a single time where they didn't add a little something (like extra donut holes) to an order. Wonderful peoples, wonderful donuts, wonderful way to start off you day.

Great Donuts and Coffee! The customers at this shop are hilarious. The shop has great donuts and the people working here are really nice. The lady customers make this a trip worthwhile. At 7:00 in the morning the ladies are sporting LV and Chanel bags to pick up donuts. I hadn't realized Irvine became such a high-end city that you have to sport your name brand purses to pick up donuts. The best part was the lady with the Chanel jumbo getting into her minivan. I am pretty sure that purse was worth more than her car. But, I guarantee you 100% fact the doughnuts at this place are priceless and way more valuable than any of the purses I saw today. Want delicious yummy donuts and a good cup of coffee and great service? This is your place.

This place warms my heart and my tummy. The hospitality in this place is off the charts! You will always be welcomed and feel like home when entering this store. The two employees are so generous and very hard working individuals. The donuts here are great but my personal favorite is their jalapeño ham & cheese croissant. They are always kind enough to heat it up for you and you will find a pleasant surprise of two donut holes inside your bag with your croissant. The croissant is very filling and it's very soft with a buttery taste and also packs a lot of flavor with the cheese and hints of jalapeño in almost every bite. The croissant is $5.85 which I believe is a fair price for the amount of food you get. They do charge $.50 for credit card purchases though so make sure you bring in cash! I love this place!

We ordered the Memorial Day Sprinkle, Plain Glazed, Cinnamon Sugar, and the unforgettable Bumbleberry. The Bumbleberry is the kind of donut you think about later - soft, gooey, and perfectly balanced with sweet-tart berry flavor. The location is close to both home and work, which makes it an easy stop, though I do wish there were more parking spots. The shop itself is spacious enough for tables, so you can sit and enjoy your donuts. They also offer coffee, teas, and sodas -- I haven't tried them yet, but maybe next time. Service is friendly, quality is consistent, and everything tastes handcrafted. I'll absolutely be returning.

Tables are clean and plentiful to eat at. We got the lavender sugar, plain glazed, and chocolate glazed. Lavender sugar was our favorite, the sugar mixture had a bit of salt in it so it was a good balance, asian sweet approved. surprisingly plain glazed was sweeter than the chocolate glazed. Chocolate glazed also had hints of salt. All 3 were very fluffy, airy, and soft, not oily at all! Vanilla bean latte was a good choice to balance out the doughnuts, vanilla flavor didn't taste artificially sweetened.

The location of…read morethis well-known Japanese/French bakery was unusual in that it's isolated in a corner of the El Camino Plaza. I had expected the business to be in a more high volume area, however a benefit of their corner spot was that the parking lot had plenty of spaces. There's no indoor seating, but outdoor tables were set up along the north and east perimeters of the building. I was by myself at this latest visit, and it was close to the end of the day so the inventory was quite depleted. There was no line at all which was not a surprise. The famous Strawberry Croissants and prepackaged items were on refrigerated display to the left when you walked in. As the service counter rounded a corner, there were more fresh baked goods on display before you reached a register. Across from the registers were shelves containing bags of fresh bread products. I bought a Strawberry Croissant, a Sticky Bun, a Ham and Cheese Croissant, and an Apple Croissant. The quality of the pastry dough was very good, and I could see why the Strawberry Croissant was a favorite with the customers. The croissants were light and flakey, and the powdered sugar added a delicate topping to the strawberry version. If I were to rate on just the Strawberry Croissant, then it would be five stars. My overall rating was downgraded because of the customer traffic flow. The lines can be optimized so that if you wanted to buy a six-pack of the Strawberry Croissants and/or anything prepackaged, then a separate queue should be arranged for those customers. The cafeteria trays were of limited use if you were not getting a large number of items. As you advanced in the queue, other products had to be requested from a worker behind the counter and then those were not placed on the tray. Ultimately, I think they can configure the operation to more efficiently handle the higher volume periods of the day.

It was 10 min before closing & idk if the girls were just rushing to close down but one girl in particular had an attitude. There was a miscommunication / misunderstanding with the girl who took my coffee order (I had assumed the seasonal banana latte came with the foam as pictured & because she didn't ask if I wanted the foam, I didn't ask for it more-so bc she asked if I wanted the brittle on top). When they handed me my drink it was a plain banana latte with no foam or brittle. I was ignored when I tried calling for the barista until another girl followed up - however this girl had an attitude. She told me that I must not have ordered it since they ask at the register if I want foam with brittle. Explained they didn't ask. Instead she just said "sorry I'll let them know for next time". And walked away leaving me with my drink as is. Didn't offer any sort of resolution. I walked in and asked they could charge me extra for the foam. The same girl with the attitude remade my drink and handed it to me. No thank you, no sorry, nothing. First time experiencing this kind of service. The orange flavor was phenomenal and I have no notes. We also got the strawberry donut and hot chocolate with almond milk, both obviously very good as well. It was my first time getting the hot chocolate and I was honestly surprised with how yummy it was. It was not too chocolatey and not too milky. It was the perfect balance and the perfect pairing with the donuts.

Placed an order for 3 double scoop cups (all they had) and took a really long time to make them having to figure out where the flavors were between the front and back of store. Then. They didn't have lids to cover them or a bag to put them in - so we literally covered each cup with another cup and put in a box I had from Costco in my trunk to get them home without dripping everywhere in my car. And I say dripping everywhere bc by the time he finished the last cup/. The others were melted from taking so long. They should probably just stick to donuts if they can't fully support the ice cream products. If I knew now/ I wouldn't have chosen to try there for ice cream. Very unfortunate, bc we probably would have loved the ice cream - but the experience clearly trumped the product.

Mags Donuts, a well-established establishment in Irvine, has maintained high standards for a considerable period.
