AWESOME DONUTS! I am not a huge donut fan. I would say I don't like donuts at all but I love donut shack! It's a little hard to find but once you do there is parking out back, quick in and out with delicious donut. Everyone we have come across there has been really nice. read more

Hands down some of the best donuts in lowell. I've lived here almost 23 years without knowing this place existed. I used to drive by it almost everyday in the afternoon and never once knew/assumed it was open and running because of the time of day. One morning however, I drove by and saw the open flag and had heard a friend raving about their donuts. I'm a donut fiend so of course I had to rush over there immediately and see what the talk was about. I got the advice to show up early, so I got myself and my wife out of bed at 6 am to get some donuts. All I can say is that I have never been happier waking up and filling my belly with sugary donuts at 6 am than I was that day. The donuts are absolutely delicious, and getting there early is no joke. The later you arrive the less choice you have. 100% would recommend! read more

Great hidden place in the wall. You would have to come extra early for donuts. Someone told me to get marshmallow donut. That was pretty unique. It's a few times I'd come here not all the time. If it's your first time you get a complimentary coffee roll! Unless they change or forget. Just ask. They serve coffee as well. read more

I love donuts and these are some of the best if not the best I've ever had, especially when they're nice and fresh! The dough is very airy and flavorful and the Boston cream, marshmallow, and jelly donuts are always filled to the max. Besides the flavor, the second best thing about this place is the price! $10 for a dozen donuts read more

I went at like 10:45 and it closes at 11:30, so the selection was scarce to begin with and the guy in front of me got a dozen donuts so my selection was limited to a cream (frosting) filled donut, plain donut or plain stick. I would never have chosen any of these kinds if the guy in front of me didn't buy out all the other kinds (Boston cream and jelly, etc). Since I have wanted to try this place for a long tome, I chose the frosting filled donut and removed the frosting, just eating the donut. It was a very good donut. I will have to come back next time and earlier so I'll have a bigger selection. read more

Donuts are fantastic. Coming from the Midwest, this is the first establishment that has noteworthy donuts on the east coast. Perfect combination of crisp exterior and chewy interior. Flavors are out of this world. A must try. Took off a star as I went to visit from a long distance, got stuck in traffic, and they refused to stay open an additional 10 minutes to sell me 3 boxes of their leftover donuts. read more

Stopped in to try the donuts because of all the positive yelp reviews, great decision. The donuts are crunchy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. The store is quite small and the donuts clear out quick so we went back the next day to get more. Glazed was our favorite but we also liked the boston kreme, chocolate frosted, creme filled, and chocolate glazed. Would definitely go back if was ever in town again. read more

Donut Shack - Donuts Near Me - Lowell, Massachusetts

I have been to kanes; very good, expensive, and $3.00 a donut x 12= 36.00...pricey. Donuts with a difference, also very good and priced right but no customer service and you never know when they will have donuts available even when they have opened. I went here this morning 5:00 am Sunday and the owner was so pleasant, kind and passionate about his donuts. I brought my 3yr old son and the owner offered him a drink..my son chose oj..very thoughtful. He also offered to fill the glazed donut with jelly. The donuts are excellent..no pretense simple and delicious. I highly recommend this hidden jewel. read more

As donut lovers we have heard lots of great things about the donut shack. The donuts were so fresh and so amazing! What a great deal for 6 as well, only 6.50! We tried the honey dip, chocolate and regular marshmallow, Boston creme, blueberry, and chocolate frosted. They were ALL so delicious. We will definitely be back! read more

By far the best donuts I've had when compared to other local spots and chains. I'd go as far as saying they're probably the best donuts I've ever had. Better than Kane's and Blackbird...by a mile. They're so good that I brought them into the office once and now everyone takes turns to fund a weekly run. This will be one of the very few things that I'll miss about Lowell when I move. read more

Co - worker brought these doughnuts to work and they were delicious. I wish i lived closer to get these all the time.

Came in at 6:00am on a Thursday as a first timer and am I glad I was there early! Since I didn't know what to get, I chatted with the sweet woman who was taking my order and we had a good talk. She even hooked it up with a free roll since I was a first timer. I walked out with two dozen and had absolutely no regrets! read more

For me, the key word in 'honey-dipped' donut is 'dipped'. These donuts are dipped, not drizzled, in glaze. That, besides the freshness, is why they're my favorite donuts. read more

Don't blink or you'll miss it! But you really shouldn't miss out on these delicious donuts. I wish donuts were good for you...

There are many "levels" of doughnuts. From chains to the gourmet, all have there place and value. If I had to choose one doughnut to have and it would be my last... It would come from this shop. Phenomenal! Any type I've ever had was the best of its kind...and I've had some doughnuts... read more

The best doughnuts ever. This tiny little shop is a true gem. We had the marshmallow, lemon, glazed and the sweet girl behind the counter let my kids sample a chocolate blueberry. All amazing. We live in Nashua and it's worth a weekly trip. Eric, the owner, was kind enough to put aside a few dozen for me. We will be returning very soon. read more

Donuts are as fresh as they come. The service was friendly and quick. This is a little hole in the wall place you have probably driven by 100 times and not noticed, but 1 trip in will change all that. Blows dunks away and the price is extremely reasonable. A must try! read more

Hands down the best donut place around. try every single donut. and don't forget about their coffee rolls. *drool*

I've been to a lot of donut shops, this is by far the best tasting donuts you will find. I wish I could franchise this place, its that good. read more

The Donut shack is one of the little places in Lowell that not many people know about. But, they have some of the best donuts in the area. The donuts are really a product of love, the owner gets there in the early hours of the morning and really has a passion for what they do. The donuts are amazing and starting at 5 in the morning there are many people there waiting for the fresh donuts. read more

Heard they were great and tried to drop in, but there was a sign on the door saying they are closed from August 7-20 for vacation.

Well there's so many good donuts to choose from! Chocolate Chocolate covered glazed, chocolate covered sprinkles, honey dip, coconut! My goodness! And I love the iced coffee :) read more

Overall: This place is great - donuts are on point and customer service is amazing. First, their donuts are delicious, some old stand by favorites as well as a few unique ones (marshmallow!). I tried the jelly and it was packed full of filling, the dough is light and fluffy. And service: I had a lot of questions about their donuts as I was picking up for a large group and had to take orders for each flavor. I tried reaching out for a menu - They didn't answer their phone but instead immediately got back to me on Facebook message listing out all their flavors. I love a place that actually utilizes their social media! I went in on a weekday morning and the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Cash only. read more

Amazing donuts. Best around. Try the honey dip and marshmallow

I hesitate to write this because I don't want anyone else to find out about this place! Better than Union Square. Better than Kane's. These are classic, non-froufrou, delicious donuts. Start with the glazed and go on from there. And don't miss the cinnamon rolls! read more

The young women working there are flour and sugar covered customer service experts. The donuts are amazing. Go early....it looks like some flavors go quickly. read more

I showed up at 1 pm not knowing that Donut Shack closes at 11:30. Nevertheless, the owner greeted us and gave us some of the few donuts left over from the morning. They were incredibly delicious and fresh. Highly recommend supporting this local business with a freindly around-town owner. read more

We picked out six donuts two for each of us and two to bring home to his mother. I lived near donut Shack for 17 years, and never thought this little place could possess the best donuts I've tasted in all of the North East. Absolutely Amazing and a MUST. I've told some of my city friends and they'll drive 45 mins. just to grab a dozen! I'd love to buy his place just to eat donuts all day :) read more

These are the best doughnuts pretty much ever. They will freshly fill them for you. I'd recommend the marshmallow. These are just magical.

Had a late morning and decided to get some donuts, searched yelp, found this place. We got in just before close and they had sold out! But the owner was so kind, he gave us some left overs at no charge! They were delicious! The filling was nice and lightly whipped and the dough itself was excellent! Will definitely put in an order the day ahead to get the full selection of amazing donuts! read more
