The minion took me to run errands today. We picked up coffee at BlackRock and donuts at Donut King. Donut King has coffee too ( Longbottom I think) but we did not know that until we went. For $9.99 plus tip we bought: 1) Maple Bar w/ chocolate drizzle - very sweet 2)Glazed Red Velvet cake donut - perfect 3) Old Fashioned Blueberry -good 4) Old Fashioned Chocolate Glazed - good 5) Buttermilk bar, glazed- my favorite 6) Apple Fritter with raspberry jelly and powdered sugar. - over the top decadent but very good The place was very clean. The man told us " don 't eat them all!" on the way out. OF COURSE we will. DUH. Pretty good donuts. I liked that they had old fashioned donuts like my fav buttermilk bar. P.S. It would be nice if they labeled the donuts so you could name them instead of guessing/pointing. But I am just being nit picky. read more

My family doesn't usually like donuts, as they are too sweet for our taste. A friend brought this to our house one time and I remember we had positive experience with the donuts. Anyway, fast forward, now Donut King is our go to donut place to bring to potlucks, parties, or just to eat for ourselves. They are still a bit sweet for our liking, but the donuts are so fluffy and pillowy. I like to enjoy with a hot cup of tea. We like the one with lemon filling and powdered sugar coated, apple fritter, and even the regular glazed and maple bar are delicious. read more

Fresh, delicious donuts! Wow! I don't usually get this excited about a donut, but the texture and subtle sweetness was perfection. I stopped by at 2pm on a Saturday and the case was full of a variety of options, some very unique, but nothing too over the top like our friends at Voodoo. I'm all for something decadent but some concoctions can kill ya! Since I prefer the less sweet, I went with what some may feel are boring options, but I can't do a donut loaded with sweet items and lots of glaze. And I can only eat one donut at a sitting or I will crash and burn! While trying to decide, I mentioned that it was my first time here and only noticed the shop because I was at Batteries Plus Bulbs across the street and saw the sign. After I made my selection, Husain threw in a Pumpkin donut for free and I'm so glad he did. It was the best of the bunch! - Pumpkin donut: this donut was perfection! It was dense but still light if that makes any sense at all. And had the right level of pumpkin and spice flavor; noticeable but not overwhelming. I ate it the moment I got into my car and I will definitely get it again the next time I stop by, it was that good. - Unglazed buttermilk bar: always my go-to as I prefer a cake like donut to the super soft glazed. This bar had a delicious vanilla flavor with a crispy top and required no glaze. When having guests over, I'd serve this with sliced strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream as desert. - Chocolate glazed buttermilk bar: same delicious vanilla cake flavor and texture with a coating of chocolate. Always reminds me of my favorite birthday cake; yellow cake with chocolate icing. - Chocolate glazed old fashioned: very similar to the buttermilk bar as it's a yeast rise cake donut. The chocolate is my cherry on top! - Boston cream: this was the only "soft" donut in the mix. It was light, airy and had a dollop of cream inside, topped with chocolate icing. This is usually my favorite donut, Coco Donuts sets the bar on these, but this one fell a little short. It needed more cream inside. The Dinut shop is very large but since we are in Covid Days, there are no tables inside and there weren't any outside. It was bright, spacious and clean. And soooooo many donuts! Often during these times, shops make a limited amount and when they are gone, they close. I started my day with an attempt to get a bagel, but Bernstein's sold out before noon. At Donut King, they are well stocked all day and the inventory is fresh, you can taste it. The case was full of glazed, powdered, sugared, filled and iced. Some are topped with coconut, sprinkles, peanuts or fruit. The fritters were massive! I would need a friend to share one with. They had the typical apple but also a blueberry and a raspberry. So many options! The person working there, Husain, is incredibly nice and so patient as I took a painfully long time to decide. I rarely eat these kind of treats so when I do, I have to make the best decision. Haha. He was not bothered at all and I'm sure he is used to it. Located in a tiny strip of stores between SW Canyon the street one over, that it's easy to drive by and not even know it's there. Put the address in your GPS app and head over. But don't go in hungry or you will buy far more than you can eat. Donut King. Aptly named. read more

These doughnuts are incredible! And the gentleman I worked with was so friendly. Love to support a small business and this one can't be beat. Their in-store selection is even broader than what is listed online, and they offer the ability to customize fritters and cinnamon rolls with different toppings. Pricing was equivalent to Krispy Kreme but these are bigger and better! I'm a light, fluffy yeasted doughnut lover and my husband prefers an old-fashioned, we were both incredibly happy with the choices here. Check them out! read more

Extremely stale donuts - they were hard and tasted oily. I actually felt sick afterward. It's really obvious when donuts are old, and honestly, it's not a good idea to sell them like that. I won't be ordering again. read more

There was a local Nextdoor discussion: who has the best donut in Beaverton area? Two shops popped up from the rest: Donut day and Donut King! Since I have frequently visited Donut day, I figure I would give Donut king a try to get a fair comparison. I dropped by in a Sunday afternoon and it was a bit quiet. The shop was spacious and clean, and there were plenty of fresh donuts on display. I ask the friendly staff what should I try as a first time customer, he recommended Apple cider donut, Blue berry old fashion and Maple bar. My fav is the Blue berry old fashion. It's crunchy and flavorful. The staff said people either gonna love it or hate it, which was interesting! About the other two: couldn't quite taste the apple cider in the donut, and the maple bar doughnut seem rather soft and doughy to my taste. So what do I think? I think they got good donuts. I might visit Donut day more since it's a few blocks from my place. However, I'll drop by Donut King to try more favors if I am in the neighborhood! read more

When I opened these box of donuts, I wasn't expecting them to be so big! The size of the donuts makes it seem like there's more than a bakers dozen inside. Although I didn't get to try a lot of the flavors, I could tell that the donuts were decadent but not as sweet compared to other large chain donuts. I typically don't like jelly or cream filled but I was able to eat these ones just fine. Highly recommend getting a box of these for your next party or work event! read more

Some owners should be recognized , just cause ! Family owned , Donut King has a superior product ! Personally, I am addicted to apple fritters, but I have strayed to a glazer donut with crumbles . A friend stopped by during the recent freeze , and brought 2 dozen donuts for people he took in. Despite the snow , freezing ice rain , and power outages everywhere in Portland and outskirts, Donut King was open , and fully stocked.Soul warming moments biting into the best ever!! Great donut place! The donuts here are super delicious and have a great texture to them. I haven't had a donut this good in awhile and am definitely glad I tried them out. The twist donuts have this texture that is a bit doughy/chewy...but in a very good way. The individual (maybe owner) helping me was very friendly. He picked out a dozen donuts for me and then told me to wait for a minute as he went to the back to get a super fresh donut that he had just finish making and told me to eat it on the drive to work. This place has pretty much everything you need with exceptional service and great tasting donuts. read more

We were in the Beaverton area a few months ago and in the mood for donuts. Yelp led us to try Donut King, and it did not disappoint! The owner is super friendly and the donuts are the best we've had in the Portland area! The chocolate chocolate cake is amazing! We don't live near the store, but we made another trip out with our kids, and plan on visiting again today! read more

I describe these donuts as gourmet grocery; they're the same sweetness, appearance, and variety as grocery store donuts, but they actually taste good (not stale or tasteless). The owner was very friendly and the store is roomy and clean. Donuts are fresh and there's a wide variety. I tried: Maple old-fashioned: my favorite donut, but a little too sweet Chocolate glazed chocolate: normally I don't like chocolate donuts, but this had a good flavor. Blueberry fritter: compared to other fritters, it's not very oily, but i didn't care for it. Good blueberry flavor. Maple buttermilk: although it's thick, there's a good ration of glaze to crumb Bismark: Good cream, nice consistency and flavor. read more

Donut King - Half dozen - Donuts Near Me - Beaverton, Oregon

Best donuts in the Greater Portland Metro area. Gluten free, vegan, and regular donuts, all are delicious. Fast and friendly service too.

Found them at work (someone bought it for the staff). They were MASSIVE!! I was able to try the chocolate bar and the cinnamon and sugar knot (sorry, I don't know the actual names). Both of the textures of the donut were super good. Soft, moist, and also airy. However, comparing with other donut places I've had, it was on the sweet side. My co-workers had the fritters and maple bars and though they also liked the texture, they said it was too sweet, too. Well, the sweetness depends on who eats it but I am interested in trying any non-glazed donuts because I really liked the texture of the donut (that's one of the best I've had though I'm not an expert of it). Do they have those kinds of donuts? read more

Still great donuts! And they have gluten free too! Muffins in different flavors and an amazing selection of donuts. They never disappoint and we stop here every time we are traveling through. I am still amazed at the number of flavor variations available and they are never in short supply as they are made fresh. The raised products are tender, soft and when you pull the cinnamon twist you. A see what a great dough they have, it stretches way out and then that bite of fluffy dough is amazing. The cake donuts are also light and fluffy with a great crumb. The buttermilk are soft inside and crispy outside without the fat or grease others have and again the variety of the cake and buttermilk donuts is amazing. So stop in and grab a coffee, water, specialty drink or soda and eat a few donuts. It's worth the trip. read more

Attention donut fans! The Donut King is in the house and ready to satisfy your sweet tooth. This unassuming donut shop doesn't look like much from the street, but when you get inside you'll see a huge array of pastries. Whatever your preference-you'll find it here. The service was fine-nothing remarkable, but we only ordered a couple donuts and left-to eat them later at home. read more

Best. Donuts. Ever. Nicest owner ever! We happened upon this place one night before the pandemic happened. I was looking for dessert to order to the house when I realized I could order donuts?! So we ordered some donuts at like 7pm on a Tuesday and were blown away by how good they are. We've ordered from them several more times and been in twice to pick up. Our favorites are the staples: perfect plain glazed and chocolate glazed. They also have great bear claws, cinnamon rolls, apple fritters, and chocolate cake donuts. Still the best maple bars in town but you have to try thr new fritters. Amazing! I love this place.

Their donuts are old and stale, and there were barely any fillings (about the size of a Quarter). This is one of those small businesses that will not last very long because of their main focus on reducing costs and cutting corners. Very disappointing for being a Beaverton establishment. read more
