Coming from Houston, I've been a shipley's devotee, but I find the austin franchises' quality to be inconsistent. Enter Donut crown....one of the the best glazed donuts I've ever had. Their sausage kolache is also soft and fresh every time I've had it. Open at 5a daily, this place is tops here in Austin!

Stopped in for a quick donut and kolache. Everything was tasty, fresh, and fairly priced. The service was fast and friendly, and we were able to sit down in the shop for our meal. Good ambiance, with the feeling of an old school donut shop. Would recommend!

Loveeee this place.. small little mom pops donut shop that won't let you down.. Grey and fresh tasty donuts.. so many varieties to choose from chocolate, sugar glazed. I do recommend the donut hole that will melt in your mouth.. kolaches is a must try.. Great customer service and very nice girls that handled our order..

I visited this location this morning for donuts and what a great idea. The donuts were super fresh and customer service was awesome. I also bought a couple of Kolaches which also were delicious. This is my new weekend spot and I'm just right up the street from it.

The donuts are good I will give them that, but the service is such a mess. The signage on the donuts is confusing, because there is a variety of items behind one sign for instance eclairs. One sign says Chocolate eclair, but there are two different kinds behind the sign. When you ask the girl that works there what is the difference, she is super snappy. "One is maple, obviously, simple." was the exact reply we got when we inquired about the difference. They have signs that just say old fashioned but 4 different kinds behind the sign. It appears they don't do well with signs because they had a simple piece of paper with the price that they just crossed it out and wrote over it instead of printing a new page out. I'm not sure this is the best business tactic since we can see the prices went out. The donuts are alright in my book, but the service has put me off from coming here again. I was not looking for a donuts and a side of attitude when I stopped in that morning.

Lots of kolaches options

This place rules. It's been a while since stepping into a crowded donut shop on a Saturday morning, but I revisited that this past Saturday and so happy I did. Like I mentioned, the tiny place was busy, but the kind moved fast as they had enough staff in ha d. Once he arrived to the beautiful, multi-colored array of donuts in in the display case, my little one was adamant a particular blue icing donut with sprinkles. The man was more than happy to oblige. It's like me understood exactly how important it was to make my toddler happy. He made my picky two year old was happy, so I was happy. But what struck me the most was that the place still had a solid selection somewhat later on a Saturday morn. They didn't run our after the early morning rush...or at least kept replenishing. We got a bag of donut holes for $1.25 and six donuts. What a great start to a Saturday morning!

This is the best donut shop ever! 5 stars: bike parking Simple effective secure easy for multiple locking situations. It's a loop of steel bolted to the ground the way god intended. What's so difficult business ppl. This rack belongs to the shopping center. But happens to be in front of a couple of the best eateries in town.

OMG!! Best donuts in Austin! A friend of mine told me these donuts are almost as good as Randy's Donuts in California. The donuts here will melt in your mouth. They will even make custom donuts for you. I had been looking for chocolate frosted with fresh coconut and now I have my supplier. Each time I visit I ask for a couple & they happily make them on the spot. What more can a donutholic ask for? They offer yeast, cake and old fashioned donuts as well as donut holes. If you are craving donuts, this is the place.

Great selection of donuts. They're very patient with my children who take 5 minutes to choose which donut they like. Yummy yummy!

Love this place! I wish they would make more plain cake donuts though, they always run out. The Maple Glazed is delicious, too!

Gordough's is one of those places that fully commits to indulgence. I was able to place my order online and schedule for pick up. The order was ready when I arrived. Parking was a bit challenging and the lot was full and they charge for parking. Service was quick, casual, just good energy and fast turnaround. I ordered my tried and true Miss Shortcake with their famous cake donut with cream cheese icing and fresh cut strawberries. The donut is so indulgent and was served warm with the most delectable flavor combinations. Tried the Son of a Peach with cream cheese icing, spiced peach filling, cake mix topping, cinnamon and sugar with honey butter. This one was a bit too overindulgent and sweet for my liking but was definitely worth a try. Portions are huge and can be shared as the donut is not as good warmed over. If you're in the mood for dessert and not think about calorie count, then this is the place.

I figured I'd be there long enough to finish a podcast, pay a bill, maybe rethink my life choices. Nope. White Cream is a necessity. Unavailable. Ugh…read more I went way early in the morning. All the donuts were fresh and moist. The Glazed Yeast (The Prime Donut)......... if a donut maker can't do glazed, you might as well forget about the rest. Fantastic. Perfect. The glaze that flakes though moist and a donut that slightly squishes, pops slightly back and has that perfect texture....... And yes Flavor! Perfect Glazed. Well done. A good size and not a weak donut. I did a fancy chocolate cake donut of the Butterfinger kind. A fantastic blend of a good chocolate cake and the touch of peanut from the crisp. A good combo of about 50/50 share of flavor. Focusing on the cake donut resulted in a favorable chocolate cake donut. Freshness is key. Lastly was a buttermilk bar. Good, just good. I know where to get great. You'll have to read my other donut posts to find out where. Just good. Glaze could improve and the complete cool through would be helpful. The dough was alright, not bad. Good ingredients and a nice flavor. On a level of poor, fair, good to great........ Good.

We wanted to get the old dirty bastard, but they were apparently out on a Sunday morning. I thought the cinnamon doughnut would be good, but it was not. It was dry and didn't have a good flavour. My favorite ice cream flavors have been ube and the Earl grey but you really can't go wrong. They have limited parking spots but often people will park along the side of the road when it's busy. Highly highly recommend a visit, especially given how late they are open at night and night time soft serve is the best! I was craving Ube and might have gone a bit overboard on ordering dessert because they had so many Ube options. The building is colorful and decorated in bright pink with fun artwork and decor for an uplifting vibe. The line moved quickly and the service was friendly fast and efficient. I was able to place my order and pay with Apple Pay. I ordered the Taiyaki Sundae with black sesame and ube swirl soft serve served in a fish shaped mochi Belgian style waffle with Oreo dust on top. You can customize your sundae with filling like organic red sweet beans, Nutella or custard and toppings like Oreo dust, fruity pebbles or rainbow sprinkles. I ate this on site and the nutty black sesame balanced the sweet ube perfectly, and the Oreo topping added the best crunch. They had a variety of mochi donut flavors. Lucky for me, nothing was sold out today. I ordered the Oreo ube mochi donut and ube milk tea to-go. I ate the mochi donut later that day and it was probably my least favorite item from my order. It had the chewy mochi texture however I didn't get enough of the rich ube flavor. It had somewhat of a bitter aftertaste and the Oreo overpowered the ube. I drank the ube milk tea the next day and it was creamy, smooth, and not overly sweet. I really enjoyed the flavor profile of the beverage and would order it again. Overall, enjoyed my selections and will be back to try more dessert options and flavors from one of the most unique Asian dessert spots in Austin!

We were on Rainey street for SXSW and I had seen several people with the pink bag with a dog stamped on the front and wanted to see what all the hype was about. We came across the pink trailer with the dog logo and decided to give it a try. Service was quick and friendly, I was able to place my order and they accepted Apple Pay. Everything was made fresh to order, so there's a bit of a wait, but it's worth it when you get them hot. I tried the Italian cream cake donuts. They have specialty flavors that were $1 more and all of them were appealing to me. Unfortunately, you can not order a sampler pack of different flavors and have to just pick one flavor which is why I am giving 4 stars. My recommendation would be to offer a sampler pack as to not have to commit to one flavor. The pink dog stamped package came with multiple tiny donuts inside. They were freshly made, soft, and served warm. My friend ordered the regular donuts and I have to say that I didn't notice the Italian cream cake flavor as much as I would have liked compared to the original. There was a good balance of sweetness and a creamy, slightly rich profile without feeling overly heavy. The mini size is perfect because you can try a few without feeling like you've gone overboard and it is great for sharing. Overall, Little Lucy's is a solid dessert stop when you want something warm, fresh and satisfying. I would not recommend paying extra for the specialty flavors like Italian cream cake donuts and will just go with the original donuts in the future.
