    Birthday cake donut. Peach donut.

We were in the area and don't get to Donut Crazy often. We're always excited to stop in to see their monthly menu. I got a birthday cake donut. My husband got a cold brew coffee and peach donut. It was quiet as it was a random Friday afternoon and we were served quickly.

2 glazed, 1 vanilla, 2 chocolate and 1 strawberry with sprinkles on them.

Got a bday treat from a friend. They are good donuts but not the best I've had. The service was excellent and it's a cute place inside for the college crowd. If you are in New Haven check it out.

Friendly service, good food, reasonable prices, and a great atmosphere. This place reminds me of a number of boutique donut shops in Chicago, but with better prices. The breakfast sandwiches are a great option. The family likes the donuts, especially the "Crazies." It's clean and the couch makes this destination to chill, snack, and drink. Next time....I'll try some cold brew coffee on tap!

I needed some coffee and desert after visiting the Yale University Art gallery, this was a perfect location and only short walk away. Not a large space, but a fun atmosphere nonetheless. Many students hanging out who seem to be studying indefinitely which made finding an available seat somewhat difficult for new, paying customers. A rather chaotic ordering process, it's unclear where to order/pickup, etc. So, I just jumped in and ordered a couple glazed old fashioned donuts and a cup of coffee. The service was nice and prompt however and I have no complaints there at all. I was in luck to be able to grab a stool by the door along the wall. I'm a life long serial donut dunker.....the coffee was hot and tasty and was perfect for dunking in. If you're in the area and want something sweet check out Donut Crazy. They definitely make a good donut!

Donut Crazy is a delightful bakery with many locations throughout parts of Connecticut. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to visit and walked away with half a dozen donuts, so off to the races. Clockwise from the top left down we have: Cookie Monster Donut has a nice glazed donut beneath an excellent cookie pieces and blue glaze topping. Monster Red Velvet Donut truly is a monster, like Frankenstein. It is asembled together with a red velvet base donut and a marshmallow cookie dough batter topping with sprinkled M&Ms. Cannoli Donut is a meal. The dough is good, and the topping and filling are high quality. Mint Chocolate Chip was more a hint of mint, but that is a good choice as it doesn't overpower the chocolate donut underneath. Snickerdoodle Donut has bits of Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal, is a cake donut, and is another in the line of great donuts here. Black Hawk Donut is a chocolate glazed cake, embossed with chocolate drizzle and Oreo pieces. It is quite possibly the best glazed chocolate ever. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, and as I traverse the donut shop landscape, I often come away underwhelmed and disappointed. However, crazy as it may be, Donut Crazy did neither of those things, and has risen the ranks to be a perennial top contender for having great offerings. As an aside, I ventured there at 6:00pm, and as I told the staff that it was my first visit, they said that I should have come earlier! O doubt, the best selection occurs in the early morning hours, but if what I 'ended' up with is any indication, their 'premier' selection must be off the charts amazing. Additionally, I must say that each individual donut was $3.75 each. Quite expensive, however, the quality backs that price up. That being said, each donut should be shared, because it is that decadent, and large. I did no such sharing, and my waistline has also become decadent, and large. A+ establishment.

    Half dozen crazy beautiful donuts!

The fact that I wanted to try only two donuts and ended up getting a half-dozen box remains surprising to me, to which I could only explain as on-brand to the namesake, "donut crazy." It's possible we all have this latent craziness for donuts and I totally went for it today! Opening the box and marveling at the incredible flavors - you could imagine me with stars in my eyes, my inner little girl delightfully happy. I recommend the creme brulee + black hawk and pairing it with your coffee of choice. Here's what I love aside from the yummy donuts: the fact that when we walked into the shop, everyone was in a festive mood, eating donuts and drinking coffee to the sound of "Hey there, welcome to Donut Crazy!" It seems such a pleasant place to be.

Awesome donuts! They always have an amazing variety. I love how fluffy their yeast donuts are - so airy and not heavy at all. They also have a perfect amount of frosting. Their cake donuts are also amazing - not too dense, perfectly moist. They are sightly on the sweeter side (to my taste) so if you love sweets, you'll love this. Definitely recommend!

I enjoy coming here, I can't get over how tasty the cannoli donut is. That is the only donut I have eaten from here. ~$4/ crazy donut I thought the prices were pretty reasonable. The donuts are pretty big and the cannoli donut is made with ricotta cheese cannoli filling and you could have enough filling for a second cannoli! Lots of students come and sit inside and do their work while drinking local coffee and tasty donuts, also have other breakfast options available. I also saw they have mini donuts available??? Would like to try those out sometime

If you love unique and fancy donuts, look no further, Donut Crazy has all of the donuts you are looking for. While they offer multiple classic donuts, I recommend you try one of their unique flavors. Every time I try a new flavor, I am never disappointed. I recently had the strawberry cheesecake donut and the dunk-a-roos. I often find that some donut places serve donuts that are dry, or the they have frosting that is crusty. Both the strawberry cheesecake and the dunk- a-roos had frosting that was moist and sweet. WOW, they were spectacular and incredibly sweet & filling. Hopefully you can go with someone and split them. You're going to want to try them all, but remember they are incredibly sweet and quite filling, making it hard to eat more than one. I enjoy the cozy atmosphere inside Donut Crazy- New Haven. I think it would be a great place for a date.

The donuts here are great and there is a wide selection. I got the Cannoli and the Morning Buzz. The Morning Buzz is cream filled with caramel cream. The Cannoli donut tastes exactly how you'd expect - like a cannoli.

    Smallest doughnuts ever

This use to be a very good Donut Crazy out of the chain of ones I've been to. However recently it seems either ownership or management changed. I walked in to empty racks and only 5 available flavors and those only had about 5 each remaining or less. I should of just walked out then but didn't. I got a half dozen of what I could and was shocked that the doughnuts are now bite sized abs also were stale. I've never ever had them this small or stale and this was not worth the $20 that usually is 6 huge , fresh doughnuts. Do not waste your time giving this store your money, find another donut crazy or other doughnut shop all together.

Just as good as the other locations I have tried. I love their classic-style donuts but you know I'm also in there for the cannoli or pb&j or crazy cookie-dough combo. A bit pricey but they have donuts all day long so no worries on getting there early, which is rare for donut shops.

    Xenia M.

I thoroughly enjoyed my donuts from Donut Crazy! I am a lover of all things chocolate, so I knew I definitely knew one of my options had to be the black hawk, which is a must if you are a chocolate lover! Second runner up is the powdered jelly donut. It's filled with the most tasty blueberry filling! Make sure you have napkins though because this one can be a bit messy. Unlike a lot of the other reviews, my donuts weren't dry at all. I guess it depends on the time of day you go. Also, bathrooms are closed to customers due to covid.

The menu has plenty of options with the ability to customize literally everything to your liking. I decided to get a 12 count mini donut with cinnamon sugar, Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, and cinnamon roll drizzle and it was phenomenal! The spot itself is super cute inside and it's located in a mini plaza with a couple other things around. They have an entire wall dedicated to a chalk board that you are free to write on. As well as a plastic axe throwing board that you can entertain your self with while they prepare your donuts. Both times I've gone I only waited about 10-15 minutes for my items to be ready which was super nice. I would definitely recommend this spot to any donut lovers!

"Question number three, Will you dine and dance with me?"…read more(Chuck Berry) When you order one of their Puerto Rican style mini donuts, you'll be asked three questions. #1 - do you want your donut "plain" or sprinkled with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar? #2 - Do you want your donut glazed with a flavorful icing drizzle? You'd better study the menu in advance, because there are over 20 choices including Dulce De Leche, Pistachio, and Maple Syrup. #3 - How about a sprinkle of toppings over your iced drizzle? How about choosing among 15 possibles, including Biscoff Cookie crumbles, Chips Ahoy crumbs, and Fruity Pebbles? The base price for donuts without a drizzle or a topping is $4.75 for a half dozen. You can go up to a 40-count bucket for $20. Charges are extra for the drizzles and toppings. We picked up a box of six mini donuts with various drizzles -no toppings - and were charged around $11. And honestly, that seems high because a six-piece sampler with drizzle and topping included was listed on the menu at $7. So, something weird happened at the register and we missed it. The service was great under the circumstances, because there was just one person working there and she was dealing with our order and two prior orders simultaneously. We saw her making shakes and making donuts for the other two parties between the time we ordered and the time she started making our order. From the time we walked in, to the time we walked out, it was a 30-minute experience. Accordingly, I did see some improvement opportunities for increased staffing and clearer pricing. The donuts were great -super cute and delicious. The store is cute too, with plenty of color and graphics. The donuts are made to order, so be sure you get close to the left side of the counter and see your donut dough dropped into the hot oil, float downstream, get flipped over, then dropped onto a cooling tray.

Just the actual vibe alone was relaxing. This is one of those locations where you can actually come sit and not be bothered. Few people inside were working on their laptops, some were just conversing with their friends. The barista was super friendly and worked fast. One thing I noticed and was wowed on was they serve wine as well. I mean how cool is that. In truth, I didn't believe her, but i walk away from this experience as an Olmo diehard fan. Their bagels are absolutely brilliant. Tens, elevens even, across the board. I've truly never had anything like it. Their flavors are unique with a Zaatar and Cacio bagel; candidly, I was too much of a purist to try them this time around and opted for the safe yet mildly experimental Rosemary bagel. Stop everything you're doing. Book the flight. Try this. Its crust is crackly with a bubbly top, almost akin to that of high quality sourdoughs, yet the interior is plush with a quintessentially dense bagel crumb. God, there's no limit to the amount of praises I can sing about this. The flavors with the okonomiyaki are well balanced also with the sweet tangy bbq contrasting the luscious, creamy egg omelette. It's really REALLY hard to choose a favorite though as I tried their lox, okonomiyaki, white fish, and cinnamon raisin shmear, and all of them were excellent in their own right. The workers are also incredibly kind and accommodating, working fast to complete every order efficiently. Olmo's so good I had four of their bagels within a 24 hour period.
