Let's be serious for a minute. The donut shop that used to be here before was pure trash. Always stale, tasted like booty. But this new Donut Bros is fricken amazing. We got 1 dozen , glazed is phenomenal, old fashion is so yummy, fritter was just perfect and the sprinkle donuts was a hit with my baby girl. There have been a lot of donut shops in our area for years...they come and go. This place puts Main Street donuts to shame and puts Christys in the back seat. Honesty the only good donuts for a long time was from 711. These donuts are !!! I don't have to drive to national city anYmore for winchels .....this place is fantastic!!!!! read more

VERY HAPPY! This shop was recommended by my mail carrier who frequents there. I called about 2 weeks in advance to place an order for a large Birthday Doughnut and five dozen more doughnuts for my daughters birthday.....(kids never eat cake or cup cakes, just the frosting, so it's a waste). The owner Max took my order and we set up a pick up time 730am. I called the day before and confirmed we were still good and no problems. My wife arrived at 725am and the doughnuts were still warm! Everything was fresh and neatly packed. Donut Bros are clean, professional, friendly and DELICIOUS! So do yourself a favor and try them out. Plenty of parking as well. read more

i used to come here all the time before work, however their service has been pretty bad the last few times i've stopped by. i always seem to go in when one of the owners is there and he always has a pretty bad attitude. i work with people all day, i know it can get tough, but there is no need to treat your customers poorly. my coworkers and i now avoid this place because of him. read more

Great prices. The Glaze donut wasn't bad, the dough itself raised an eyebrow. It's different. It's like spongy, maybe that's the way the Glaze is, or all the donuts are? Seating is tight. No AC, no blinds or curtains. There is construction going on in front of the establishment, parking is available in the alley or the adjacent market. The Coffee sizes are laughable, make sure you see the cup re: the size you'd like to get 1st. read more

When I went, the selection was scarce, maybe it was close to end of the day? Went at around 4 or 430PM? The young man behind the counter was very friendly and helpful, so service gets an A. 5.50 for a half dozen donuts, which is great, I just wish they were fresh. Are you tired of eating donuts that does not satisfy your inner fat person? Well you came to the right place. I picked up 12 glazed donuts and man.. they are the fluffiest donuts out there. The glaze has the perfect amount not too much but just enough. Friendly staff and they take both cash and card. There are plenty of parking. We LOVE donut bros!!! Everything about them is fantastic and no other donut place compares-believe-you-me, we have tried every donut place in SD I think. I actually have never really considered donuts much at all, one way or another, but since my husband loves them, over the years we have gone a few times a month to check out different places in SD. Fried dough-check; sugar-check....not much difference in my opinion! Sorry donut lovers! One of our kids was severely allergic to dairy so we even had a period of time where we tracked down some pretty cool variations & found some interesting vegan donuts. They were fine, whatever, still fried dough & sugar to me ha. Anyway the years have passed and my husband started bringing home donuts to make Sunday mornings special for the kids & he brought me an old fashioned one. For the first time I noticed that they had cloves and yummy winter spices. They were also light & flaky-WEIRD! UNEXPECTED! WONDERFUL! Long story short it's become a weekly thing. Don't let the construction steer you away from this shop. I just moved back into town and see that the shop is under new management and I see a complete change. From start to completion of order you will not be disappointed! Donut shops are a hit and miss on this side of town but I believe I have found me a permanent spot to enjoy as I get older. Descent prices, excellent customer service and cleanliness. Also, donuts are absolutely AMAZING! Try it out they will not disappoint. Stopped by here on a whim trying to find a spot closer to work. Walked in and was greeted by the owner. Decided on the ham and cheese croissant & a maple bar for later . The croissant was delicious and a good size for the price ($2.50) and the maple bar was well cooked and soft ($0.80). Had to come back for a second day to grab another ham and cheese croissant & it did not disappoint. Will definitely return to this donut shop based on the cost, food & customer service. read more

If you love donuts and good service GO TO THIS PLACE. They are so cheap, so nice and respectful, even the customers are super nice. There's also so many options of donuts you can get, they also have differnt types of bagles that you can ask to put things in which are toasted. I highly recommend the breakfast croissant it has bacon, ham, egg, and cheese its so good. (They can take out something you dont like) You really feel at home here. This is a place where you can come get the fresh coffee and get a good tasting donut. Since they have renovated the place is much better, (location wise). It used to be kind of hidden, but now the entrance is on the front plaza facing 2nd Street. This place is really nice, staff is friendly, and they are always very attentive with customers. I really appreciate a smiling face in the mornings when we just about to start our day. Thanks for not closing this place, it brings a lot of our morning neighbor together. You may not know they are there, BUT they are!! We have gone in all different tunes of the day and they always have a great selections and donuts always taste fresh!! Their prices and customer service are terrific!! They are behind the cylinder block wall and construction so you can't see them, but will for sure want to visit them. read more

I never really got donuts at the old business in this location, but ever since Donut Bros moved in I started picking up a donut while waiting for the bus. Always so nice, and the donuts are really excellent quality, even when they're not perfectly fresh they're still fluffy and delicious. Nothing and no other donut shop beats Donut Bros, I promise. When I moved to East County 2 years ago I found myself one weekend wanting donuts and tried donut shops every weekend after that from places that are all well known in East county. The first time I had Donut Bros it was a no-brainer. It was when it was behind the building and to my unfortunate timing I had to wait to have them again until they moved to the front where they are now. I've brought donuts from here into my office in downtown and everyone always asks where I get them from and it's always high praises. If you like an old fashion donut try one here!
