They were recommended to me, because they are capable of accommodating aggressive and/or working dogs. Their kennel set up allows for them to care for dogs without having to enter the kennel. Gary and Peggy are the owners of this company. They have always been a pleasure to deal with for booking boarding dates. I have never had any issues with how they have cared for my dog over the years. My dog always looks healthy, cared for and excited to come home. Their rates are pretty reasonable and are priced by dog sizes. Their prices can be found on their website. They are open most days of the week. They used to have hours posted, but have since changed their hours to appointment only. Although I have never utilized their training services, I have heard good things about their training methods. With my dog Riley, they take extra care with getting him settled in and adjusted because he developed a bit of separation anxiety after the pandemic. They always have him looking his best after his every six weeks grooming. To make it easier for me (not having to call for an appointment) they've been booking him out every six weeks for the entire year. As a first-time puppy owner, I wasn't sure what to expect or if puppies just naturally outgrow certain behavioral issues. When we go out in public, people always come up to see her because she's cute, but what they *constantly* comment on is how exceptionally well-behaved she is for an 8-month-old puppy. It is so validating to hear that from strangers! I love and fully agree with Anthony's methods and what he does here. If you want a well-behaved dog, Powerhouse K9 is the only place to go. She allegedly groomed them both within 1 hour her first visit with them. Their site states minimum 1.5 hour per pet for grooming. The second visit with Kaela ,Last week I picked up the girls and if deshedding was done ( which was paid for) it didn't work- hair coming off of the one pet and she was still wet after being there 3 hours. Guess the tech was trying to make a point after our first encounter. After speaking with the mgr., I don't see anything changing in the situation. Very disappointing.
