They were recommended to me, because they are capable of accommodating aggressive and/or working dogs. Their kennel set up allows for them to care for dogs without having to enter the kennel. Gary and Peggy are the owners of this company. They have always been a pleasure to deal with for booking boarding dates. I have never had any issues with how they have cared for my dog over the years. My dog always looks healthy, cared for and excited to come home. Their rates are pretty reasonable and are priced by dog sizes. Their prices can be found on their website. They are open most days of the week. They used to have hours posted, but have since changed their hours to appointment only. Although I have never utilized their training services, I have heard good things about their training methods. With my dog Riley, they take extra care with getting him settled in and adjusted because he developed a bit of separation anxiety after the pandemic. To make it easier for me (not having to call for an appointment) they've been booking him out every six weeks for the entire year. She then went on to say that if we decided to keep her, her world would have to be very small. We asked again about the training. She stated that our dog would need a muzzle and that she would return with literary information. We never saw her again, no call, nothing. Our dog is now 7 and lives a full life. Updating my review to say how incredibly happy I am with Powerhouse K9! My puppy is now 8 months…read moreold and has spent a total of 5 weeks here (3 weeks for board-and-train and 2 weeks for regular boarding). As a first-time puppy owner, I wasn't sure what to expect or if puppies just naturally outgrow certain behavioral issues. Either way, this is the only formal training she has ever had, and the results speak for themselves. She came back so incredibly well-behaved. And has reminded well behaved. When we go out in public, people always come up to see her because she's cute, but what they *constantly* comment on is how exceptionally well-behaved she is for an 8-month-old puppy. It is so validating to hear that from strangers! I love and fully agree with Anthony's methods and what he does here. If you want a well-behaved dog, Powerhouse K9 is the only place to go. First she tried to claim that I returned it late, even though I had rented it earlier that same day and was returning it early. I told her to look again, and that wiped the smug smirk off her face. But that wasn't enough, then she said that the machine wasn't clean enough. and pointed out some hair that was caught in the rotary brush, and she said it had a stench to it. I took it back home rewashed the tanks, and removed the hair from the rotary brush. I returned it, and once again she tried to keep my deposit stating it wasn't clean enough. that I had to remove and clean the rotary brush assembly. I said "this is bullshit," and she called the manager, who immediately took the side of the cashier. she looked at it and pointed to rotary brush assembly and that all has to be taken apart and. cleaned, and I asked her to show me how you take it apart, and lo and behold she couldn't take it apart either. Finally, after all that the manager made the cashier refund m deposi. But I will never do business with Petsmart after all that.
