    Soft serve margarita
    Shirley L.

It was very packed on a Friday around 4:30pm. It was a little difficult to find parking, but there's more than a decent amount. The wait was about 45 min for a party of 6. You can order drinks at the bar to help pass the time. The drinks are strong! Even has a warning on the drink menu. We tried their popular soft serve margarita and it was delicious! Reminded me of frozen yogurt and it was a little on the sweeter side. I had their quesabirria tacos and they were delicious! 10/10 would get again. There were a lot of great options. My friend got the chicken quesadilla (not pictured) and they killed it.

Mutual visit. 2 hours & 45 minutes wait is what my family and I was quoted, on a Saturday evening about 8pm. Parking was spacious, but very limited from the crowd, folks were sitting in their cars, I would figure it folks that in the long waiting list. This location is beautiful, bigger and very colorful. Service seems friendly. I'll be back when it's less traffic

Friend saw this place on IG and we had to try as it looked awesome and reviews and social media posts and pics looked good. Opens at 11am so we showed up at 10:20 and got in line at 10:45 and we were approx 15-20 in line and the line grew fast behind us. Highly suggest you show up early and get in line early. They give you a set time frame to eat and leave of 1 hour and 45 mins from the time you're seated. To keep wait line and time down. They do have another location at I-10 and Washington very small compared to this location with very limited parking and longer wait line. But they also took over the old Denny's next door and made Bueno Dias Dona Letis so you have two options at other location. But longer wait and less parking. Opened and we were seated right away and waiter arrived with waters and took our drink order. Drinks came within mins and we ordered right away as we researched ahead of time and figured out that we wanted the Surf and Turf burrito. Next time I'll try the flautas or birras tacos. AC was kicking so if you cold natured bring jacket or sweater. Place was clean and well staffed and service was awesome Portions are big and prices are a little higher then other places I've been but not to much higher for the quality and portions you get. We ordered the soft serve margarita to try $20 each and you can add tajin and chamoy very good but a little weak on liquor but you can taste it. Next visit we will get regular top shelf and see if stronger. The surf and turf burrito had approx 4-5 jumbo shrimp inside and the steak fajita was seasoned good and tasted great. Has lettuce tomato slices and sour cream. We will return again for sure.

Okay... so let me just go ahead and expose myself real quick. I've been living in Houston for over 20 years and somehow never heard of Dona Leti's?! Yeah... I'm disappointed in me too. Now that I've been, I completely understand why this place is packed to capacity every single weekend. The vibe? Immaculate. It's giving energy, it's giving community, it's giving "you're about to have a good time." But let's talk about that wait. Baby... almost 2 hours. Any other day, I would've politely exited stage left and found somewhere else--but I needed to see if the hype was really hype-ing. And let me tell you... the hype is VALID. This isn't just a taco spot--this is an experience. From the margaritas (dangerously good, by the way ) to the rich, flavorful, fall-apart tender birria tacos... yeah, they did what needed to be done. If you're a birria lover? Step forward. This is your moment. This is your place. This is your heaven on earth. Will I come back? Absolutely. Will I mentally prepare for the wait next time? Also yes. 10/10 -- highly recommend.

I tried the enchiladas at Doña Leti's Mexican Restaurant and they were delicious. The tortillas were soft, the filling was well seasoned, and the sauce had a rich, homemade flavor that really stood out. Served with rice and beans, the meal was simple, comforting, and satisfying. Definitely a great choice if you are craving authentic Mexican food. The customer service is the best with a great family friendly atmosphere.

Believe the hype! My friend has always told me the food here is bomb and she was right. I've heard the vibes at the other location are better but I went in the anniversary of the meter land location and they had a $3 marg special. There was an hour+ long wait but we found some extra high top chairs and pulled up to the bar. The bartender was very knowledgeable about the food menu and told me about up charges in advance. I got the birria enchiladas and it was huge and sooo good. I'll be back! They have parking but was almost full when I went. Bathroom was clean.

The two-hour wait was long, but the text notification system made it manageable to run errands and come back. Once seated, the excellent service and delicious appetizers, specifically the trio with queso, guac, and street corn, really stood out. Our waitress was incredibly patient, informative, and attentive throughout the night. While the lemonade and rum drinks were highlights, the main courses fell flat. My enchiladas and the tortas weren't impressive, which was disappointing after such a strong start. What I didn't care for with the main course was the quality of the ingredients.Just tasted not good quality. It tasted like a mouthful of food with no actual taste appeal. Come for the vibes and starters, but the entrees could use more quality ingredients. The seasoning wasn't necessarily the issue. It was the quality of the tortillas and the bread and the meat.

I've been a few times and look forward to it every time. The vibe is chill but lit, the food is great and plentiful and the service matches. It's hard to elaborate without sounding like a kiss up but everything is great, so much so that there's a time limit on your table. I'm not a huge fan of those BUT I truly understand allowing everyone an opportunity!

5 out of 5 stars!! Everything gets was a 10. Definitely the place to visit when in Houston. We went two days back to back!! Service good, food good and ambiance nice.

The food from this Tex-Mex spot was awesome and plentiful. The service was great as well as the ambiance within the establishment. The portions that were served were enormous and served hot and fresh. The drinks were the rock stars of the meal with all the fruits and distinctive flavors. Awesome experience for my wife and I on our last night in H-Town.

Doña Leti's had NO business being this good. I started with the strawberry pineapple juice, and wow -- fresh fruit, super refreshing, and straight perfection. Easily one of the best juices I've had in a minute. The elote taco with fajita steak was unreal. The steak was tender and juicy, and paired perfectly with the creamy elote. Every bite was packed with flavor -- I honestly don't know where this combo has been all my life. I also tried the build-your-own burrito bowl, and it was fully loaded and flavorful from top to bottom. Nothing was missing, nothing was bland -- just fye all the way through. Overall, this spot is a 10,000/10 for me. I'll definitely be back. If you're a foodie, run -- don't walk -- and add Doña Leti's to your list ASAP.

Dona was highly recommended by a few people I know, so I decided to check it out on a Friday afternoon before the crowd arrived. I ordered the mini HH nachos, an HH Rita on the rocks, the Banana Pudding, and the Don cocktail. The HH items were okay. I wouldn't order the (1) surf & turf nachos again because the shrimp were bigger than I expected. The (2) strawberry-mango Rita on the rocks was good, but I've had better. I enjoyed the (3) banana pudding, & the Don with watermelon, cucumber, & tequila was refreshing but strong. I'm usually a rum punch kind of girl. Leek provided excellent service behind the bar. He was engaging & knowledgeable. Overall, it's a nice establishment with a great crowd, cool drinks, and decent food. I would try it again.

I have held off ordering from here due to the hype and prices. But I decided to say let's go and try it. So glad I did. Started off with the three dips of queso, guacamole and corn dip with fresh house made chips. Delicious. Next was the shredded chicken empanadas with dipping sauces. Really good. I had the chicken quesadilla with rice and beans for my main. Really good. The star of the night was the Mexican banana pudding. Omg. Amazing. Decadent and delicious. Super rich but good. Definitely can't eat like this often but was a nice treat!

It's a very quaint, intimate space. As soon as we sat down, they brought out complimentary pretzels, which was a nice touch. My friend ordered a highball, which she thought was super strong. The drink I originally wanted was sold out, so I ended up ordering the "Shizuka Ame" (Silent Rain) instead -- honestly, it was a blessing in disguise because I absolutely loved it. First of all, the drink is gorgeous to look at, but more importantly, it tastes incredible. The foam rose on top was sweet and creamy and paired perfectly with the cocktail itself. I ended up having two because it was that good, and I genuinely still think about that drink. It definitely leans sweeter, which is exactly my preference. They also offer bar bites, and my friend ordered the wagyu toast. It was hilariously tiny, but the bite I tried was actually really good. Overall, I already booked another reservation for later this month. I'd absolutely recommend giving this place a try, whether it's for a date night or just catching up with a friend. The atmosphere is dark, intimate, and moody without being loud or overstimulating -- just a really nice spot.

We walked in without a reservation around 9:30pm and the place, while small, only appeared to be at about half capacity. We were turned away and told that they were "booked on reservations" until 11:30pm. This was slightly confusing but we still wanted to keep the option open, so we went over to Doko across the way and enjoyed drinks and sushi. We were able to talk to GM Alejandra about getting into Bar Doko and she made a point to take care of us at Doko first, during which I made an OpenTable reservation for Bar Doko later that night. Alejandra then kindly walked us back over to Bar Doko to make sure we got seated. Excellent handling by her. As soon as we were seated, we were given warm towels and bar snacks - a great way to start the experience. For drinks, both us got the Enso Requiem - The Circle, Completed. Both of us really liked it! On the boozier side but I do like me some Japanese whiskey, so the Suntory was perfect in this. For our next round of drinks, we got the Aki Fall highball. I have never really been a highball person, but this one changed my perspective. It was made with cherry bitters and jasmine wine, which were both unique for this type of drink. I could drink these all day, especially on a hot afternoon, as it was very refreshing. I will definitely give highballs another go next time I see them on a drink menu. Despite eating tons at dinner and then at Bar Doko before, we still wanted to try the food here, so we got the A5 Wagyu Toast and the Tuna Tostada. Both were small bites - each one came out as two individual pieces that were a bite's worth each. The A5 wagyu was super tender and full of flavor and the toast balanced out the moistness of the meat. The tuna was also very tasty and the tostada had a similar effect of soaking up the wetness from the fish while providing a nice crunch. It was topped with kimchi which gave it a nice Due to the trouble earlier, the bartender ended up making our second round of drinks on the house. With that said, the bill was still a bit pricey given that the drinks start out at $18+ and the food is in the same price range. I will say that drinks here are more expensive than you'd find at other cocktail bars around Houston. We had a disappointing-experience-turned-good here at Bar Doko and I'd be glad to give them another chance. The bartender and food runner were both very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Definitely make a reservation before coming, even if it's same day.

We also got the Carajillo shots, a cocktail that we normally enjoy, and while they came in cute little long steamed shot glasses, and were tasty, the strength of the shot was honestly just like a tiny portion of the regular cocktail.
