    Pan con Chicharron Sandwich
    Brodie E.

The Pan Con Chicharron was out of this world delicious along with top notch empanadas! Our food was prepared with care and came out quick, great service. Super clean inside and comfortable seats to enjoy your meal, I will absolutely be eating here again!

We were thrilled to hear about Don Hector | Peruvian Rotisserie. We usually get our Peruvian chicken from the city. We were very excited to hear of a new establishment that was much closer. We tried the half chicken meal the main character: Pollo a la Brasa (rotisserie chicken) we chose the arroz chaufa, the plantains along with an extra side of veggies. The chicken was a little underwhelming, not as juicy as I'd hope but had good flavor that wasn't too overpowering. It was a bit dry however I did come at 7:30 so later in the evening so that could have been part of the reason. The portions were reasonable compared to the price. I'll add a menu but it was about $17. My teenager enjoyed the Caesar salad that had chicken added to it as well. This was also a takeout only establishment as there were no tables. I would try it again and perhaps come earlier in the day to see if the chicken is any different! Location: 420 Town Center, New Britain, PA 18901

And yes, there will be a next time. I ordered the 1/4 chicken platter that came with fries and a salad. The chicken leg was cooked perfectly. The seasonings were well balanced and delicious. Nice to find a place to get pollo à la brasa in the area. The fries were hand cut and perfectly cooked. The side salad was a nice size. I had enough fries and salad leftover for the next day. I tried some of the yucca huancain and it was good. The yucca seemed overcooked. The sauce was a little too thick. It may be because it was take out so the dish got cold. The flavors were on point but the texture not so much. The purple corn drink was so unique. I never had it before but highly recommend it!! I can't even explain it. Not super sweet and a hint of fruit. The sweet potato donuts lacked flavor but the dipping sauce helped. The flan was my favorite. It was thicker and creamier than I'm used to and really enjoyed it.

You can tell Daniel (the owner) actually cares about how everything runs. The place is clean, organized, and everything flows smoothly without feeling rushed. And Christina... she's seriously the best. Super friendly, easy to talk to, and actually helps guide you through the menu. She was on point with the specials and made great recommendations. We even got into a conversation about her trip to Peru, which was a really cool touch it felt natural, not forced, and made the whole experience better. We started with the Leche de Tigre, and it was a perfect opener, fresh, citrusy, and packed with flavor. You get that brightness from the lime with just the right kick, plus the calamari added a nice texture. We also tried one of the specials, the causa, which was light but still full of flavor and a great way to start. For the mains, we went all in. The Cowboy Steak (18 oz bone-in ribeye) was easily the highlight, cooked right, super flavorful, and paired with the huancaína risotto and that huacatay butter... yeah, that combo is no joke. We also had the pollo a la brasa (special, marinated 24 hours), and you can tell it was super juicy, well-seasoned, and done right. We also had the pasta con mariscos, and this one deserves its own mention. Homemade pasta with shrimp, calamari, and mussels in a chupe-style tomato broth rich, flavorful, and comforting without feeling too heavy. Definitely one of those dishes you keep going back to. And I'm not even exaggerating... the table bread with the butter? We were eating like it was part of the main course. That butter is ridiculously good. Dessert sealed it. The lava cake with lucuma ice cream was warm, rich, and balanced out perfectly by the ice cream. We also tried the house-made guanábana sorbet, which was light, refreshing, and the perfect way to finish after a heavy meal. The vibe is what really ties it all together. It's casual enough to hang out with friends and talk, but still nice enough for a date night or bringing family. It doesn't try too hard, and that's exactly why it works. Overall, everything just clicked: food, service, atmosphere. No weak spots. Definitely coming back. This version is clean, structured, and reads like someone who actually understands what they're talking about, not just listing food.

A big, inviting and spotlessly clean counter with seats and menus. The menus have a lot of classic Peruvian dishes like ceviche, lomo saltado, salchipapa, anticuchos, arroz chaufa, wings, tacos, pernil...lots of delicious choices! I ordered the eloté, papa relleno, 3 beef and 3 chicken empanadas, the lomo saltado and the tallarin saltado as well as a horchata which was superb - and huge! The eloté, I could have easily eaten 6! Sooo yummy! The papa relleno was perfectly cooked and had a tasty beef and cheese filling. The empanadas were flavorful and both the lomo saltado and the tallarin saltado were delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked and none of the fried items were greasy at all - wonderful! The portions are large, the prices very reasonable and the service was pleasant, fast and efficient. I will definitely be back and I recommend it highly to everyone to give it a try. As an added bonus, I was able to use my Spanish to order and she said I did good!
