Soy garlic wings

Good crispy Korean fried chicken! The soy garlic wings were not too saucy, but had a nice soy garlic flavor (without being overpowering). It was crispy and crunchy, despite us eating it about 90 minutes after being made. The Kalbo wings had a smoky, slightly sweet flavor. They were good as well, though not my cup of tea in terms of flavor profile. The staff had our order ready 5 min early and were friendly at pickup. The location is tucked away in a small shopping center I never knew existed, but I think they're doing a good job advertising (which is how I learned about them). Overall, would recommend!

Out here on a daddy-daughter date and according to her this spot 'slaps!' LOL. But seriously, the modern and youtful establishment is best for the grab and go clientele rather than the lengthy stay, est and enjoy kinda dining experiences that I prefer... BUT this place's food and service did NOT disappoint!! This Korean BBQ featured some of THE BEST wings and drumsticks Ive ever had! Delicious sauces and seasonings... these fried chicken pieces lived up to their 'slappin' reputation. We will definitely be back and I definitely recommend you try them too. Thry even provide gloves to help keep your suacy fingers clean!

This place just isn't for me. I did receive my order in a timely manner though. The chicken is just too sweet for my taste and it really didn't taste like any other korean Fried chicken I've ever had. I won't kill the rating as it is just my personal opinion but others might like it that way.

Great service! Was looking for a halal place but didn't want a traditional plate. Was glad this came up in the search and was easy to find. Place smells great, like a clean restaurant, and the inside was designed in a new, hip way. Will be back!

Don Chicken is a sure bet if you want to try Korean Fried Chicken. Fried Chicken is always on point no matter which location you order from. Not much of a place for a dine-in experience but definitely solid option for Take-Out / Delivery, or if you just want to grab a quick bite. Service was quick and place was neat and clean.

Excellent! Fresh crispy double fried chicken. Was good when as leftovers in the air fryer! I took it home and paired it with my own fresh pickled radish and kombucha! It was fantastic! Much better than the other local spots!

Great authentic Korean chicken and very friendly staff. Easy 5/5 goto chicken spot in Cranford

Soy Garlic Drumsticks

I think Korean fried chicken is one of the best type of fried chicken, as such, I was so excited when I heard about Don Chicken. We tried a few different sauces (soy garlic, sweet & spicy) and style of chicken (boneless, drumsticks & wings). My personal favorite was the soy garlic wings, the breading to chicken ratio is just right and the seasoning was well balanced. The small size (10) is the best portion for one or as an appetizer for two. Meanwhile, the sweet & spicy was a bit disappointing as there was no spice whatsoever, it was all sweet. Will try the hot & spicy next and hope that it will have more of a kick to it. Ordering food to go was easy and convenient with their website. Super prompt too.

Good spot for Korean fried chicken to rotate for take out dinner or snack. this place is way better than the California burrito. Online ordering is ease. parking may be an issue during busy times.

We all…read moreshared the honey butter rice balls, bibimbap, japchae, and regular size of the soy garlic wings. We have been coming here for a while and always get the honey butter rice balls without fail. The crunch on the outside and chewy texture on the inside is perfect and we love the sweet taste. I would pass on the bibimbap next time, it was kind of bland and the crispy rice was burnt instead of golden. The japchae was the star of the meal. So much flavor, perfect cook of the noodles, and thin beef. If I wasn't sharing dishes, I would get this all for myself. Lastly, we got the regular size of soy garlic chicken, which was 12 pieces because they were out of the big drumsticks. The crunch was great with perfectly cooked chicken on the inside. I don't like that they charge extra for sauce but honestly this meal was such a bargain. A meal for 4 under $100 at a nice restaurant is rare. The service was fine, refilled our water on time but our waiter could've been more attentive overall. Ambiance is always great with a retro vibe and cool lighting.

I dared to try the cauliflower wings (half & half), which actually wasn't bad. Both flavors was good, although I personally like the spicy better (just make sure you can handle it, although it won't be too bad if you're used to spicy food). Garlic fried rice was okay, but not the best. Also seems like they don't give you a side of pickled radish at this point, but maybe that's because we're in Jersey. Also the kimchi fries weren't what I expected. What the fries were crispy and tasty, they just give you a tiny cup of kimchi cheese sauce. Maybe I'm spoiled, but I expected the fries to be way more loaded. I ordered for pickup and it did take a lot longer than expected. I also felt sorry for the hostess, who was running around trying to help. There also was 5 people just standing around chatting, but the music was just a tad too loud to hear anyone trying to get their attention. I'm sure dining in would be a chill vibe, but can still have that and have it all together yk? Last thing is I definitely asked for bacon mustard sauce and heard them confirm over the phone, a bit annoyed they forgot that!

I stopped…read moreby for lunch with my top-tier chum, a native of the Kingdom of Sussex who has been here before and has spoken highly of it. I don't know why I was surprised to discover this was in a strip mall, but that's on me. A nice one, at least. The place was relatively busy but we were able to secure a table easily with zero wait time. Pleasant vibes inside. I don't mean this as an insult at all but I was expecting more ethnic decor in line with the restaurant's menu - instead, it's pretty Americanized and feels like a classic suburban NJ establishment. I liked the painted brick on the lefthand side that has Blue Spice's logo/sign on it; spiffy. The bathroom was also a high point, which is...not something I say often. It was very clean and smelled nice, and I liked the dark cruise-ship lighting vibe. We decided to split the scallion pancake app, which was an excellent decision. I work in the city and regularly have this item from a place in Chinatown, and I honestly thought this was better, mostly because it was thicker/denser than what I'm used to. Super tasty and would get that again in a heartbeat. Giant portion as well - we split the pancake, which was roughly the size of a small pizza. My chum had leftovers there, I did not; so it goes with us. I've had a few mediocre chicken katsu experiences of late, so this seemed like a chance for redemption. I ordered the Akiko Curry entree, which was their spin on chicken katsu curry. Honestly wasn't my favorite. Again, a HUGE portion here and was only able to finish about 60% of it despite having a pretty legit appetite coming in. And the presentation value is excellent as well, as far as that goes. This could easily just be a personal palate preference, but I wasn't crazy about the curry itself (which had a weird tang to it) and didn't resemble the standard curry I'm used to with this dish. Also, as you can see from the attached, the curry is basically on the side of the dish, separated from the chicken and rice. Because of that, the chicken is on the dry side, which is my primary beef (pun?) with the item to begin with. So a miss for me, but I could see why other people would like this (and apparently do). The service was excellent, full stop. Our waitress was very nice and personable; she had strong command of the menu and you could see her consistently engaging with other patrons throughout our meal as well. She took several group photos so this is apparently a Kingdom of Sussex hot spot for that, which I wouldn't have guessed. She was so good both of us remarked on it multiple times during the meal, which is a rarity. But a great example of hospitality markedly improving an experience and making what was already an overall positive situation that much better. Huge marks there. Would definitely come back but would explore other parts of the menu once I feasted on the scallion pancake.

I absolutely loved the sauce bar and thought it was such a fun way to customize your flavor profile. There were so many options for seasonings and pretty much any combination tastes good. The restaurant has a great set up so you can get a drink and watch a game before your table is ready. The grills are replaced pretty much immediately and the food comes out within a minute of ordering it. My favorite items were the seasoned pork but everything feels high quality and is delicious. I would definitely come back and try the soup. We were able to take ice cream home which was a really fun treat.
