The spicy garlic sauce has a great mildly sweet flavor and the chicken is very meaty and juicy. The fries were ok, slightly over cooked but the pieces that were not so over were good. Some of the friendliest staff you'd meet and very accommodating. I only question if it is truly korean fried chicken. Not as crunchy as most korean bbq spots.

Ordered take out from here got the chicken thighs over fries platter thing with Cole slaw. I've always drove passed thr small strip where the former T-Mobile, cigar store and former soul food place and realized that cheeky Chicken was here after seeing their tiktok. food was okay. this is a cheat type meal. goes well with beer. didn't feel too good after eating because I'm old now. I'd have to come back and try the chicken not the platters. will update when I come back.

We decided to drive by late Sunday night post flight and it seemed like everyone had the same idea! The kitchen was overwhelmed with only 2 people working the store. We had to wait a bit for our small order of boneless wings (hot and spicy) and we also ordered a combo plate (chicken and fries) and additional butter fries. The boneless chicken 8pc was bomb we wish we ordered more, they were meaty and fresh and the crisp perfect and sauce maybe a tad over but otherwise we saw Why it was a 4.9 on google. good quality food for decent prices. Wish they had this Korean style friend chicken brand in NY we would come again. I would focus on just getting the chicken, I did want to try the fried noodles (ramen). They had chairs and tables inside the restaurant but we were so hungry we ate in the car and brought the rest home. Solid!

Food is lit! Good korean find with a twist! Bar seating. About 8 seats on approximation. Clean and good airconditioning. Quick service. Ample of parking space. Just watch out for the signage so you don't miss the entrance. No high chair seen or koala kare on restroom. See attached for reference.

I was biting into the most crunchy chicken ever and it immediately brings me back to my fav Korean chicken joint outside Incheon. One of the owners, Brian, took great care of me. The thighs are the crunchiest chicken I've ever had take away or at a restaurant ever. The large is 24 huge thigh pieces. I got the spicy sauce,, garlic soy and rose sauces. The sauces are almost required with the chicken. 5 We will be back. Support small business and local communities.

Soy Garlic Wings - tasty, gOOd!

Cluck yeah! This Korean fried chicken spot nails it with excellent crispy, garlicky soy wings. Their Dduk Ggochi (sweet and slightly spicy rice cakes) are a chewy, saucy delight and their filling and tasty meal boxes pack a punch for takeout or a dine-in feast. Whether you wing it solo or bring a flock of friends, this spot is clucking good! NOTES/TIPS: **Order pickup/delivery on DoorDash, Grubhub, Seamless, Post mates, UberEats. **A couple tables inside and out in warmer weather. Shared plaza parking. **Great service. Fast-casual. Wheelchair-accessible.

Came back to try some other menu items. Fried Chicken sandwich was great . Served with coke slaw and pickles. Fried dumplings were also terrific. I had the beef dumplings, but owner threw in a kimchi dumpling to try and it was delicious as well.

Ordered a large wings and large fries. Service was so friendly - they gave us spoons to sample some of the sauces before we ordered so we would know how they tasted before committing. Wings and fries were both freshly fried, and came out crispy and juicy. The cajun seasoning on the fries was also fantastic. Quality is well on par with good chains like pelicana or bbq chicken. Highly recommend and would definitely come back often!

Ok ok. The chicken here is pretty good. Had the cheeky wings box soy garlic with rice, also came with pickled radish and coleslaw( little dry not a lot of flavor in the coleslaw.) also had the honey butter fries and the mango refresher with lychee jelly. So 1. Chicken. Delicious crunch and flavorful had it with the Rose sauce. Spicy and sweet. 2. Fries. Something different. Love the honey flavor would prefer it a little more crunchy. 3. Mango refresher. Really sweet but delicious . Everything came out in a pretty quick but if you're in a hurry order ahead of time. Philip helped me out and answered all the questions I had. Knew what he was talking about. The restaurant was clean and really like how simple and clean the facility was, they have bar seating on the wall but no tables. Plenty of parking. though I think they need more visibility on 22 because I don't think you'll see cheeky unless you're looking for it so that's my suggestion. I will definitely be back and looking forward to trying out all their other flavors and combinations they have.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Cheeky Chicken, and I have to say--it's an absolute gem! I ordered wing box with soy garlic, sweet&spicy, and wasabi mayo flavor. Chickens were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated with the most flavorful sauces--each bite was a perfect balance of crunch and tenderness. I would say wasabi mayo was my favorite out of three. You must try! If you want to try the flavor, the owner will be happy to give you a little bit of a taste before choosing the flavor too! My friend ordered Chee-gam, which was sliced chicken over crispy fries with mayo and spicy sauce. It looked really great and I am definitely going back to the place to try it! If you're looking for authentic, delicious Korean fried chicken, this is THE place to go. I'll definitely be coming back for more! Highly recommend!

    Spicy soy garlic wings

Ordered spicy soy garlic wings that were really good. Just the right amount of heat (warning: it's the type that builds over time as you eat)! Chickens was fried to-order, so the exterior was crispy and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. Employee working there was really kind too. Only downsides are it's a little pricey and there is a cigar shop next door and the smell comes into the establishment. But would just recommend ordering to-go. Would def go back!

She speaks to customers with an attitude that lacks basic courtesy and customer service. No customer should feel like they're inconveniencing an employee by simply placing an order. What makes the experience even worse is the lack of leadership. The Black manager often appears more focused on having personal conversations and interacting with that employee than supervising the restaurant and assisting customers. As a customer, it's frustrating to stand waiting while management seems distracted instead of ensuring the business is running professionally. I would rather drive to another location than continue spending my money here. Customer service, accountability, and professionalism start with management, and unfortunately this location reflects the opposite. I hope the owner or district manager reads this review, identifies the employees described, and provides the coaching and leadership necessary to improve the customer experience. The growing popularity of Korean fried chicken reflects a greater familiarity with Korean culture…read more Celebrated for its crispy exterior and tender interior, Korean fried chicken has been a staple late-night snack in South Korea since the late 1970s and early '80s. It's typically known as "drinking food," or anju, though Koreans also enjoy the crispy pieces of meat with non-alcoholic drinks. The dish is most often made with bone-in chicken thighs or wings that have been coated in a cornstarch mixture. Traditionally, the chicken is fried twice to take it to the next level of crunchiness. Located on a busy Stuyvesant Avenue in Union, I decided on bb.q Chicken for lunch. The acronym "bb.q" in their name stands for "Best of the Best Quality," focusing on high-quality ingredients. Upon arrival as a first-timer at this modern, well-lit, clean establishment with Korean music playing throughout, I was greeted by the staff. Their menu features fried chicken, rice bowls, and Ddeok-Bokki. I decided on the Honey Garlic Wings brushed in a savory sauce with a mild tang of garlic and Chicken Fried Rice with vegetables in a classic kimchi base. The wings were prepared fresh (~20 mins prep time). The taste was deliciously amazing and addicting with a perfect balance of crispy and juicy with the right amount of spices. The complimentary pickled radish that came with the meal had a good balance. All was prepared for takeout even if one was dining there. Portions were healthy, and the price was comparable to the area. The staff is attentive and polite. Thank you for reminding me what real good fried chicken looks and tastes like.

Johnny Napkins is a chain of pizza shops (they recently opened a location in Cranford) and it definitely has a sense of humor about itself. When you walk in the walls are painted with various characters including their mascot "Johnny Napkins". It really adds a fun feel to the space. They have plenty of seating including large tables with about 6-8 tall seats around them and a bar where individuals can sit and eat. Shakers with garlic salt, pepper and more are spread throughout the eatery so you can spice up your slices. The main counter has a glass case with a bunch of square and round pies on display. I wound up getting a slice with mushrooms and a BBQ chicken slice. Service was super friendly and efficient. These folks were *busy* with a constant stream of walk-ins and phone calls at the same time. I was very impressed. My slices came quickly and I sat at the counter to enjoy my food. The slice with mushrooms was excellent. Nicely heated up, a good crust and just the right amount of cheese. It was not too salty and had plenty of flavor. The BBQ chicken slice however featured a thicker crust (even though it was a slice from a round pie). I prefer a thinner crust but this was still good with a nice chew. The only reservation I had were the chunks of chicken themselves. They were a *tad* dry but this was the last slice on the platter, so I imagine it had been there for a minute (and I knew this, so this one's on me). I'm really glad I stopped into Johnny Napkins.
