Place is still open and operating as usual, great chicken. Great food and great service, call ahead or come in to have it cooked in front of you.

10 chicken fingers

What you see is what you get - homestyle fried chicken is what I saw and I knew I wanted it. There are no frills, no flair, just good fried foods. Stepping in to the restaurant is like taking a step back in time with it's 90's decor; wallpaper and quirky chicken decorations on every wall. We opted for 10 chicken fingers and an order of onion rings and this was plenty for the two of us for this rainy, hungover, Sunday lunch. We barely waited 15 minutes even with the busy lunch rush for our order. This place is A-OK to me and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an old fashioned, cardboard box filled with tasty chicken tenders. Don't forget the honey mustard!

I have been coming here for 10 years. So far the best fried chicken in the area and the owner is very friendly. I hardly ever eat fried chicken but this is the place to go to if you are craving this type of food. Always fresh and tasty.

Super friendly, food is SUPER good, prices are extremely reasonable, especially for the quality that you're getting. It was my first visit there today and got a bucket of jumbo shrimp. SO good! Will definitely be a regular. AND they're on Door Dash. I was pleasantly surprised =)

The chicken is consistently good. I prefer their style over all the other options in the area.

Good fried chicken. Less greasy and less salty than KFC. Reasonable prices. Local operator as opposed to huge chain.

I am addicted to the fried chicken wings with corn on the cob for a side dish.

We were welcomed in upon arrival, the food was prepared quick and delivered to our table. The ambiance is nothing fancy but the overall feel was comfortable. I love that the owners address each other as "sweetheart". They treat each other with love and that is what they put into the food. The chicken tenders are pretty big, the owners suggested 1-2 for my son and he was right. He ate 1 and it was more than enough for him. I had the mango platter. The mango was fresh, and the portion was just right. It was tasty and again all fresh. My husband got the shrimp tacos and the tacos were huge.

My wife got a cilantro burrito (not pictured) that she really enjoyed. I really liked the Mac and cheese. It tasted more like pasta with a homemade cream sauce than a traditional Mac and cheese but it was very good. The chicken tenders were huge and perfectly cooked. As you can see in the picture, really juicy. Only reason for 1 star off is that the breading could've used more seasoning. Ambiance: TLG is more of a casual spot with a few tables inside if you're grabbing a quick bite. Overall, good experience and will be back to try more!

Even though my parents are locals, I had flown in late for the holiday and we were starving coming from the airport and looking forward to some good food and good atmosphere. It was a slow Sunday and we happened to get there right after the kitchen had closed. We were about to leave when they called us back and said they would keep the kitchen open to get us food. Though we were probably the only people there, Shawna and Jen took amazing care of us and made sure we had a good meal. This above and beyond service is one of the many reasons this restaurant is the best in the area. So why do we love The Rail so much? For anyone who hasn't been and looking for a great experience, this place has it all: live music and the best cover bands in NJ? Check. A solid menu with high quality food? Check. (Family disagreement on the best dish- I love the chicken zarro but the Rail burger is a fav). Genuine hospitality and staff who take care of you? Check. They may not know our name, but we're always glad we came. #cheers

Tonight on the way home from @PeddlersVillage , the @OldPubClub found another establishment, in…read more#WhitehouseStation , that has been around longer than us. This building was built in 1845 and opened for business in 1846 as the Union Hotel when the Central Railroad of New Jersey first came to Readington. After the hotel closed, the building became a the home to several restaurants throughout the years. The location was called Flamingo's when the television show "Kitchen Nightmares" came in and rebranded the place and named it The Junction. Chef Gordon Ramsey helped revamp the restaurant. By calling it The Rail, they are honoring the railroad theme, being in this historic building, so close to the tracks. With its mix of great cocktails, service and delicious dishes, it's a must stop if you are in the area. @TheRailNJ #TheRail #OldPubClub #OPC
