This place has fallen WAY off. Haven't been here in quite awhile because we found another location for Korean Fried chicken & rice. The interior is more or less the same, a bit of upkeep needed. The service was delayed because they clearly forgot to start our order. I walked in and it sounded like I walked into a bodega (Spanish music was bumpin), as the staff was now Hispanic and not Korean. At least while I was there. They also share their location with an Indian restaurant as well. The rice was bland & kinds dry, & the chicken was legit just regular Wingdings style fried chicken with nothing to them. The sauces helped, but it is absolutely not the same. This ends our time here. Never again, no longer worth the price. read more

This place used to be great but they changed owners. The flavors were fantastic. The chicken pieces were huge and fried to perfection. And you would get complimentary pickled radish and sauces. Last time I ordered, I gave them 20-30 mins to prepare my order. Walked into the place and no one was at the counter, ok no problem. I waited 10 mins before calling out hello. Someone came up front and gave them my name. They asked what I wanted and told them I called in the order. The guy told me no one made it. I said ok, since it wasn't made can you cancel the order and I can get my money back. He told me he can't because the manager wasn't there. Fine, can you please make the order. Took 45 mins to fry up 8 wings and 6 drums. The chicken was greasy and bland. So disappointed. read more

I was torn between giving this place a 4 or 3 since there's no 3.5 option. I have chosen to give it a three since I like the coating more than the actual chicken. Ordered takeout from here on a Saturday night. This might be my favorite Korean fried chicken in NJ. We ordered the honey butter wings, soy garlic wings, onion rings and mozzarella sticks. Even after a 20 minute drive home the wings were still super crispy! They were so juicy and flavorful and the wings themselves were a good size. The honey butter sauce was exactly like it sounds. It was sweet, rich and sticky. The soy garlic was more of your traditional Korean fried chicken wing sauce. It was coated well without being overly coated and it wasn't too salty like other soy garlic sauces I've had. The onions rings and mozzarella sticks were also good although I'm sure they'd be even better fresh. The order came with two small containers of coleslaw and three small containers of sauces: Dak sauce, mango sauce and a spicy sauce. The Dak sauce was kinda of like a sriracha mayo. The mango sauce was similar to the Dak sauce to me but with a sweet mango taste. The spicy sauce was like a sweet chili sauce but with an extra kick. They also added some plastic gloves in case you didn't want to get your hands dirty. If you want really good quality Korean fried chicken definitely check this place out. The tenders are DELICIOUS here! I've tried the garlic soy tenders along with their fries and the amount of food served is well worth the price. I first tried the wing & drum option with honey butter sauce and tenders with the soy garlic. I got a side of onion rings and they included an order of snow cheese fries for free. The second time I ordered wings and tenders with honey butter and also got free snow cheese fries. I absolutely loveeeeeed the honey butter sauce. I felt like the tenders were a bit salty (just the inside of the chicken itself) so they were my least favorite. I thought that it might have been because of the sauce but it was the same when I tried the honey butter the second time. The wings and drums tasted super fresh. Super crispy on the outside but tender and juicy on the inside. The drums were huge and more than enough to end up with left overs. The onion rings and fries were overflowing from their containers. Portion sizes were very generous. The snow cheese tasted amazing, it was my first time having it. They also have mozzarella sticks available. They include 4 different sauces to dip the fries in. I loved the super orange one the best but I'm not sure which one it is since the containers aren't labeled. It was the only one out of the 4 that didn't have a kick to it. It's a small restaurant so it's more of a to-go spot. I'm not sure if it was the owner that I spoke with but he was extremely friendly. I highly recommend this spot! Dak has gone downhill. The new owners grabbed the place for reviews reflecting their changes and are now inflating their google reviews which is honestly shameful. Don't take over a business and implement cost cutting, sweetening up all the sauces and shrinking the sauce portions and then try and pretend it's the same. This ownership needs to figure something out because they can only leave so many fake reviews. Maybe invest in Korean corndogs to give your location something novel now that the Korean fried chicken isn't authentically Korean Fried Chicken at all? The chicken was salty enough to really let that sauce shine. The chicken is good, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't salty enough. The chicken came with three sauces and a lil coleslaw.
