This morning I watched a rude old lady talk down to the nice man who helped me and made my matcha. And he was nothing but respectful and nice to her. And she was rude, belittled him, and he stayed calm and caring. So idk who reads these, but that man deserves a raise cause you shouldn't treat people ESPECIALLY your barista like that over some banana bread. Lady was wack. Anyways I gave her a stank ass look

The whole set up makes this place so inviting but also entirely cozy feel it's fantastic! I had an absolutely great experience on a Saturday! It was so good that I came back the very next day on Sunday to get the same thing. Unfortunately, I couldn't even consume my order the second day. I ordered the green machine smoothie which was absolutely phenomenal the first day the second day it was an entirely different color and crazy sour taste. The front end person making my drink told me that this was due to the differing amounts of spinach each person makes it with. The crazy thing was this second smoothie wasn't green like the first day so how does less spinach make it sour?? Honestly it seemed like the milk went bad and they didn't want to say anything. They didn't remake my drink and seemed offended when I asked clarification on why it was an entirely different color and taste. (Included in pictures) Those things aside the chocolate donut was phenomenal and I did really love my experience on Saturday. Sunday just left such a horrible taste (literally) in my mouth that I wouldn't be back. *Edited to show "green machine" not just "green smoothie" as previously stated.

I tried the jalapeño cream cheese which she told me they made with fresh jalapeños--yum.

The bagel could've been toasted a little more but I'm sure if you ask them to double toast it they would. They say there is free parking, but I always doubt that I found street parking pretty quickly on a Sunday morning. This location isn't the most convenient, but I'm sure you can make it work if you found street parking or if you trusted the free parking, they say they offer. The 4-2-1 coffee is my favorite and it's a musket every time I go.

Cool, they can make it. what I got was a cup of coffee in a to go cup (even though I was dining in) with milk and a foam, so really what I got was a flat white. the other coffee ordered was a latte which was pretty standard I ordered the chicken sandwich ($12) which comes on a biscuit and a side of fruit, to round it out I also ordered the yogurt bowl which is yogurt and granola. When the sandwich came out it looked rather disappointing. The biscuit itself is small, probably the size of a Pillsbury dough biscuit, and the chicken wasn't much bigger. nothing else on it like a green, coleslaw, sauce, etc. just these two items. However, it did come with a side of a honey butter. the side of fruit was about 8 pieces split between pineapple, melon, and grapes. the whole sandwich was dry, which can be expected from a biscuit, but this was just too dry for me. the yogurt bowl($8) came in a small bowl that had a large flaring, basically the entire dish was large but the bowl portion was small. I eat yogurt everyday and the amount you get is probably half the size of a standard serving of yogurt (170g) and it was sparsely sprinkled with granola. my partner ordered a chorizo burrito ($15) and while she raved about the flavor the size of it was laughable, especially considering there are plenty of spots in LB that serve double or even triple the size of this burrito at or near the same price lastly, and the most disappointing of all, was the cinnamon roll($8). they were on display at the register and figured yeah I want one of those and instead of giving it to me right then and there it was brought with the rest of the food but it was not warmed up, which made me question why I waited for it. It was rool temp, burnt, and hard. I do want to try other items but the price you pay for what you get, especially considering this experience I had, is off putting.

The interior space itself is nicely designed and cozy, providing a comfortable environment alongside a selection of tabletop games you can play with others. Usually I'm finding myself stopping by in the morning hours, typically just before 11:00 AM, which is a good time to experience the space. Their drink menu stands out due to a wide variety of options, with the strawberry latte being a personal favorite. It is a well-crafted choice if you appreciate distinct flavor selections that aren't overly common. For those who prefer to sit outdoors, the patio area attracts a lot of local birds, adding a quiet, natural element to the atmosphere. When ordering a coffee to go, they place a small hummingbird sticker on the cup, which is a subtle and thoughtful detail. One practical thing to note for future visitors is that the café does not have a dedicated parking lot, so you will want to plan for mostly street-side parking when you arrive. Overall, these small touches, combined with the layout of both the indoor and outdoor spaces, make it a solid, dependable spot to revisit whenever you are in the Long Beach area.
