The lady that did my manicure was so rude and made me feel like I was burdening her. I asked her not to cut my nails down but she said she would cut a little bit to make them even. Then she just started cutting like it was nothing and didn't even bother to check if it was even on both sides (it wasn't as seen in the photo). I had such a nice length and she just butchered it. I asked her to shape them as square with rounded edges and she kept super square and sharp on the edges. I had to file them down myself when I got home after paying for a service that was supposed to do it for me. Bottom line I will not be returning

This is a bright, clean, tastefully decorated space. It's conveniently located right on Washington Road, making it easy to get to from anywhere. Leslie is a gracious, chatty person who puts you immediately at ease. No small feat when the subject is ripping your hair out by the roots. She is careful and keeps me talking, laughing and sufficiently distracted so our time together goes quickly and smoothly. The hairdressers at the salon do a brisk business, but I've not had the opportunity to patronize them. It is hypnotic watching them at their craft though. It's easy to recommend Leslie's salon, but I encourage you to go see for yourself the next time you need some 'maintenance' done.

After reading lots of mixed reviews about other hair removal places ( wax, sugar, etc...) and calling a few places with all my inquiries about the process, I was definitely headed to Thumbs! I braced for shock at the thought ripping hairs, but it wasn't that painful at all. I was pleasantly surprised! We conversed about our kids the entire time and then it was over. It went pretty fast. Many curly girls have had bad experiences at a salon throughout the years and I'm no stranger to that. I booked with Tease to get my hair done for a special event. I would definitely recommend Kenzie and come back to her if I'm ever in the area again and need something done!
