The crew in the furniture section are always quick to help me find what I'm looking for or keep an eye out for me. Compared to all of the goodwills, and even the nearby ReStore, this is gonna be your best bet price-wise. This is the first thrift store that I've been to that rotates its inventory based on the season. All of the furniture that I've purchased here has been for less than $20, and I'm talking about good hardwood furniture and even a 7ft silk sofa wrapped in the OG plastic protectant. For my fellow DIYers, you'll come across sewing machines often here, some built into tables with full kits for about $15 - $25. There is also a rack for scrap fabric, and abandoned knitting projects in the back. This location is in the prime spot, as it receives donations from all demographics. So whatever your style is, you're bound to find something you'll like here.

Premium fur (mink, rabbit, racoon..) and leather chaps at affordable prices. Authentic single stitched vintage shirts, 70's bomber jackets, matrix trenches. You name it, its here. It is a shop full of statement pieces. I think the only downside of this shop is that there is no silver or gold, all jewelry is costume grade. We had the honor of meeting the owner, a traveling musician who had accumulated some of the stock over his journey. His name escapes me, but he also assured me that he wouldn't remember my name so it'd be ok. He was hilarious and I highly recommend chatting him up if you stop by. Try to come here on a weekday between 10am & 4pm, the hours are based on whims but those are the best times.

These days I could wear a Ralph Lauren polo shirt that's 35 years old and no one is any the wiser. All in all I find T J MaXX a wonderful place to go for gifts and household items. Staff is usually very nice at the store in Towson. My only complaint is when it's nearing closing time that they damn near scream into the P.A. system every few minutes that "THE TIME IS NOW 9:20, AND WE WILL BE CLOSING IN 10 MINUTES, PLEASE TAKE YOUR SELECTIONS TO OUR CASHIERS TO FINALIZE YOUR PURCHASE !" All that wouldn't be too bad except they start make these too strong announcements at 9:00 and then another every 5 minutes. That one thing really ruins the experience.
