Came in here for one thing and left with half the store. I came here to look for full size deep pocket sheets. Found a few but the colors were just okay. I ended up getting two sets. I always look for seasoning and there wasn't much since one of them I still had in my cabinet, but found some garlic and herb seasoning. Could barely look over in the beauty area, since everyone and their mama must have been looking for some deals. After a quick browse, I picked up some more household items, not to say I needed them but I got them anyway. On the way to the line, you know they make you shop for more goodies, and yes I yield to temptation and added some Christmas dummies to the cart. This is a nice little Marshall's tucked away in the putty hill shopping plaza a few doors down from Target. I went with my friend to do some shopping after breakfast at first watch across the street. The selection was amazing ! I ended up grabbing some bath products that were so cute and will look great on my bathroom vanity. The only thing is they didn't have many pet clothes for my friends dog ... but there's a petsmart a few stops down too lol. Will be back! read more

I came here the day after Black Friday because I was in need of some new holiday pillows for Christmas and wow is all I can say! They had the best selection of pillows and I even found a gingerbread pillow that I've been looking all over for! Service was great, it's always long lines at Marshall's but they move by super quick and I was greeted with smiles and warm energy. I love going here and had to make myself leave before I spent even more money on all the cute and valuable things they had on the shelves. read more

I usally have great experiences in this Marshalls. However, today I went in at about 8pm (which is late and I get that). They close at 9:30. I walked over to potentially try something on- and I am okay with that the fitting room was closed ( it is late and I don't like to be a late customer). What I wasn't okay with was the lady working the fitting rooms yelling at me when I asked if the fitting room was open. A simple "no" would have sufficed. Thankfully I am pretty non-confrontational and just walked away, but that could have really rattled someone. read more

This location is new (been opened maybe a year or more) and there was nothing spectacular about it. As a matter of fact, l thought this location's selection of items was lacking compared to other Marshall's in the surrounding area. Maybe l was expecting too much because it was located in Hunt Valley. Probably, but at any rate, l will not be making the drive here to this location. Just wasn't feeling it. read more

...I'm not sure about other Marshalls locations, but Puttyhill Marshalls USE TO have an Awesomely large Superb selection of shoes! Pffft! NO LONGER THE CASE! Puttyhill Marshalls is like a thrift store especially in the shoe department...& I say that because that's exactly how their shoe department looked! This particular Marshalls went from a Large Up to Date Variety of Nike, Adidas, Converse, Coach, Micheal Kors, Jessica Simpson & Jordans to GMX, & PONY!!! Like, really what is going on? Please bring back the Fantastic selection of shoes that you once had. I was buying two pairs of shoes each, & often for my children (4of them!) on a budget since they're hard on shoes. Dirty and crowded. Annoying weird shaped parking lot. The 100 percent dirtiest bathroom I have ever seen. I am not talking "someone used it and made a mess." This store is a hot mess. In the best way. It's completely disorganized, and clothes are kind of everywhere. In turn, there is a fantastic selection of marked down clothing from some pretty big name designers. I'm currently on my way to a Mad Men themed party and needed some accessories for my dress. I found a great vintage looking lace wrap and these killer retro blue shoes - all for 30 bucks. And they are real designers - not from Target or Old Navy (which I'll admit - I love anyways). I was tempted to do some more digging and look for a few more great finds, but be wary - the price tags are low, but can add up fast. Stores like Marshalls are definitely a project. You have to be in the mood to throw down, elbow people out of the way, and dig for the great stuff. if that's your shitck, then go crazy. If not, then go to a mall. read more

I don't know what I've done in my past lives except for that I must have been a cruel cruel person to deserve having to wait in the line to check out at Marshall's when I'm about to shit my pants. It's not their fault I had a green smoothie at 3 in the morning last night. But I just needed a black tie. I walked into the store and asked the first person I saw where I might be able to find a black tie. The employee responded, "I don't know, probably the men's section." Great. Now my jaw had joined my butt cheeks in a tight clench. I grab the tie, which I absolutely need, which I drive 30 mins for, and I see the line. I don't expect any living mortal to understand the horror I felt. Perhaps only Orpheus could understand the amount of dread bubbled in my guts as I took my place in this 25 person deep line. And I watch, these four cashiers, dmv dropouts, move in slow motion. My head swiveled around the store looking for help, praying for god to get on the microphone and ask for more cashiers to the front. Yet here I am. My turn is finally up next.... read more

selection here is not the best. Most employees are incompetent and rude. Many times I've been told incorrect information and have had to really be pushy to get simple tasks done like returns etc. They don't know how to do it so they just say "no" without trying and don't know the stores policies. Ridiculous. Even the manager once told me I couldn't return something because she lied and said it was already returned even though I had the receipt. I love the Marshalls in Hunt Valley MD, but I was disappointed when I visited this one. It seemed to be overpacked with items, and a lot of the things I picked up were damaged. However I did end up getting a good few finds, and our cashier was very nice. read more

Marshall's is well-managed. The team is always thoughtful. Upon entering, stylishly dressed ladies greet me with a smile as if I'm coming home. The shoe selection is usually abundant and the items are well organized. The other day, a staff member offered me a cart when my hands were full. She cleaned it thoroughly and helped me find what I needed. The cashiers often give helpful tips and never seem flustered when there are long lines. The store has a vibe of respect. Marshall's is a bright spot in these trying times. Beth is a sweetheart. I wish I knew everyone's names because they are decent people who know how to treat customers. read more

I was raised in a family business where I was taught customers are always right and always treat people with respect. Today, I truly experienced the opposites of it for the first time in my life. I was never been more disrespected by a customer service team. It was incredibly upsetting way to spend the first day of my new year. Before the incident started, we had stood in line for over 15 minutes waiting to be ring up. 8 people at the front desk and only 4 registers open. I was tired after digging through the mediocre selections for 2 hours and was ready to go home. My mother spoke limited English and she went up to the register for a return with her return item and her receipt and her credit card that she used for the purchase and said Return. Instead of greeting her or saying anything, the employee rang up her item again and pointed to the credit card machine. She swiped her card thinking that he wanted to return the money back to her card. He then proceeded to put her item in a plastic bag and handed her the item. Noted that he didn't greet her nor said a single word to her during this transaction. At the moment, I spoke up and said sir that's a return. He promptly got upset and tried to cancel the transaction. He then proceeded to insult her saying that she didn't tell him it was a return. I stood by quietly not saying a single thing because I was raised not to make a scene. After he returned her item and she left the line to look after my child, he then went on a complaining rant on how he was already not having a good day and now having to put up this crap while he was ringing up my purchases. He said mean things after scanning every single one of my items. I was getting annoyed but I held my tongue. I had both of my gift card and credit card out and was ready to pay. Then he started attackig me saying that I never told him that I will be using a gift card. Let me get this straight. As a paying customer, I have to tell you how to do your job? He said he had already pushed credit and now he's got to go back. Are you serious? You are being pay to serve. Ask your customer what they need help with first instead of insulting them when they ask you to help you something different than what you anticipated. Do your job. If you didn't want to work on New Years Day, quit, don't work. Paying customer shouldn't need to be the target of your frustration. One think about me, I like deals. If you go to stores like Marshalls,T.J Maxx,k & G you better be willing to dig. From my experience everything is everywhere, even if the employees look like they are organizing a lil. Today I had the worst experience in this particular Marshalls. I stopped by Marshall's in need of a pair of shoes for a special event. I normally love Marshall's since they tend to have a good show selection for someone with big feet like me (size 11...yikes!). I'd give this location 2 1/2 stars. The Rosedale location is far preferable since that location is well organized, has higher end items, has surprisingly lower prices, and has a large parking lot. I enjoy looking at tchochkes (random interesting household items) and have found bargains at this location. Customer service can be very slow with long lines. Before the Towson Place upgrade, I found tons of bargains and this was one of my main stores for purchasing clothing and household items. read more

Surprisingly, found a good parking spot even though the parking lot is always full and has an awkward layout. Wow! Restroom was a mess like I have never seen before. Best area is the housewares, as the clothes sections are so inconsistent and sparse at times to not merit a visit. If you want an experience that people talk about you have to go to Hunt Valley. From a Male perspective I wanna be in and out of just about any store. This place is the absolute worst. I hate going here. Here's why: I pull into the parking lot, park, I know what I'm looking for, I'm optimistic that I'll be in and out, I walk in and 30 minutes later and frustrated I walk out. The line for checkout is longer than the line at the Apple store when a new device comes out. It's ridiculous. The employees behind the counter are slower than those at the MVA. I just takes forever to get out of there. There are 10-12 registers but only 3-4 of them are open. To make matters worse, while only 3-4 registers are open and helping people, other employees just linger back behind the registers. You see the line is going out the door, man a station and help out. Drives me nuts. I avoid going here unless I absolutely need something last minute. And I hate every second of it. read more

I called today to ask if they were crowded on Christmas Eve (and to make sure they were open) and the woman on the phone hung up once I asked if it was busy. I called back and to ask her, assuming it was a mistake, and she. Said "yes it's crowded, okay?" And then hung up. That's no way to treat a customer, especially during the Christmas season. I love Marshalls and TJ Maxx located in Towson mall. I do agree that the bathroom in Marshalls should be checked periodically during the day and additional stalls should be added because so many women shop in the store. I shop in both stores two to three time s a week. Walking for exercise and shopping in those two stores brings me great joy. They have the latest trends of clothing at excellent prices and household goods. Also, i can make layaway s which helps me to obtain all the items I want. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. MANAGER TONY VERY RUDE!!!! Purchase a dress shirt for work, went home to wash it and realized the employee who rang me up neglected to take the anti-theft plastic piece off, which did not sound off when I walked out. I had to drive all the way back the Marshall's and when I walked in I did so with the shirt in one hand and the receipt in the other so they would know I wasn't steeling. I even called ahead and told the situation to another manager so they knew I was coming in. When I walked in the theft sound rang and I was immediately GRABBED by the security person which was completely uncalled for. After 5 minutes the manager TONY finally came to the front and the security guard finally let go of my arm. TONY refused to rectify the mistake his employee made and took nothing off of my total purchase saying in a rude way "oh well that's too bad for you".
