Dirty fork in the cart. Clean up after yourself, people.
    Karley B.

What is going on? Considering the neighborhood, I expected a much better experience from this Target than I actually received. We were in the area, having lunch at Kung Fu 12 in Timonium, and decided to try a different Target than the locations we normally visit (Canton, Middle River, White Marsh) to return a pair of pajamas I got for Christmas that were too small. I should have known better than to enter an unknown Target. Why don't all the stores have the same floorplan? I spent most of my time wandering around, saying, "I don't know where I'm going" trying to find the womens' sleepwear. It's in front of the registers, btw. Not the best place for it, considering there's always a line of customers between the entrance of the store and turning right, towards the registers. I would suspect that most customers continue straight, after coming in, because that pathway is unimpeded. So that bathing suits are out. I didn't expect that a week into the New Year. The Valentine's candy is also out. Target is the only place that I know of that sells my favorite Valentine candy - Brach's CHERRY gummy hearts, so I bought like seven bags of those. Gotta make them last for the whole year. The returns line moved quickly. Seems that the woman running that department knows what she is doing. I do admire an efficient person. However, there was a dirty, used plastic fork in the first cart we chose, which was a bit disgusting. No one wants your old spit and possible leftover sauce or bits on their brand new merchandise. Put your trash in the trash can! The whole world doesn't exist to clean up after you. I don't care if you think the Target employees get paid to do that - they don't! They're not maids, or your mom. Also, from the looks of this store, they either don't have the time for cleaning, or don't know how to do it themselves. This store is in such disarray, with boxes blocking aisles, and product scattered everywhere, that it's more like what I would expect from a thrift store... or Old Navy in Nottingham (don't even get me started about that shitshow of a store). I can't buy products if I am denied access to whole parts of the store because there are fortresses of half unpacked boxes everywhere. And where, exactly, IS the product? Because I see clothing on mannequins, but can't find the clothing anywhere on a sales floor. Why are there only like three more-than-half-empty racks of womens' pajama bottoms? For that matter, where are the employees? I scoured half of the store looking for someone who could unlock a case in the electronics/game section. When I did find someone, I was told, "I don't work here. I work at another store and can't do that." Well, guess I'm NOT buying that Switch item that I want, cuz it's trapped in a case that no one cares to open. I mean, you couldn't get on your walkie, or something, and get someone who actually works there to open the case? I will say that the Family Bathroom was a welcomed relief. Big enough for my wheelchair, and for my careperson to be in it, all at the same time! And, it was clean - for the most part. I did have to wipe some pee off the seat. Again, CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF. I get it if you wanna hover-pee, or whatever, so your butt doesn't touch the seat, but some of us don't have that option. You don't want someone else's butt-cooties on you. Okay. Fine. But I don't want to have to clean up or sit in your pee. Wipe up. They opened a new register as we were waiting in line, so that took less time than expected, which was nice. There's a sign that self checkout is 10 items or less now. Is that a new idea? The line for the self checkout was pretty long, but that's because there's only one line for like 6 stations. It moves quickly, if that's your jam. I like Target. I just don't like THIS Target. I won't be back.

Hands down the most disgusting Target I have ever seen. Always filthy. Never organized. Trash everywhere. Management needs a complete overhaul.

This place is in shambles. Shopping at Target has been pretty miserable at all locations for some time, but the experience I had at this location this weekend took the cake. Weird layout, empty shelves, huge stacks of boxes blocking the minimal inventory available. It was a nightmare to navigate with a cart, and I'm sure impossible for someone in a wheelchair. Of course, the registers were empty and the self checkout line was endless. I don't blame the workers. It's probably not the manager's fault either. Target needs to hire more people and get its act together. I remember when it used to be fun. I'd spend time looking at things and find things I didn't know I wanted. Now I can't find what I'm looking for and can't wait to leave.

On 4.7.22 I only cane to return a pair of denim pants. The pants were supposed to be able skinny, but after a quick try on, discovered they did not meet my expectations. I find some skinny regular denim jeans/pants can be worn as a capri since most Target does not cater to tall plus size individuals. The bottom did not hug my legs nor reached my ankle per the description. I did like the feel of the material. I bought these for a show next month. While standing in line, there was young lady being waited on to return some electronics she purchased. I was not ear hustling, but could not help to overhear her complaint. She purchased the tech item, but the box the items came in were already damaged when she purchased the item and after opening the box, she found the items to have personally used. She advised the cashier multiple times that she reported the incident to corporate. All she wanted to do was return the item for a new item, but wanted to know if she could get the item for the same cost since she purchased the item on sale. They gave her such a fit. I could hear the frustration in the customer's voice, as I watched and heard a female manager go back forth on the walkie-talkie not give good customer service. Even the cashier became frustrated with having to go back and forth on the walkie-talkie. Why couldn't the manager just come up front and speak to the lady face to face. I would've hate that to be me in that situation. So the lady was advised to step to the side and waited for thr manager to come. I thought the cashier was going to wait on me since the other cashier was waiting on another customer that was ahead of me, and a line was forming. So I had to wait. My return was super easy. As I was abou to leave someone did finally come talk to the lady about her return. I wanted to know more, and wanted to know the outcome. Unfortunately I got distracted because I ran into one of my alums from college, so I missed out on what was the final result of the return. I will say, do not purchase high-end tech items and the box is damanaged and also check the items before leaving the store especially if it is headphones.

The most unorganized target I've been to. Also, went for a Target gift card and they didn't have any which was unusual.

Mostly overpriced antiques and old furniture. You should definitely look over pieces for damage or…read moremissing pieces before purchasing, and you'll probably have to clean them once you get them home because it doesn't look like the store cleans them. I actually bought two pieces of furniture here (one was missing a decorative piece of hardware that I didn't notice till I got it home), but the most "curious" thing was the delivery policy. I was charged $95 for delivery. One of the owners said there would be 2 men to deliver a sideboard and a heavy cabinet, but it turned out that only one guy showed up. He said usually the owners of the store send an extra guy to help him but they didn't that day. He looked confused about how he was going to manage to carry the heavy pieces off the truck. Fortunately, my husband was home and could help carry the furniture into our house. Honestly, though, for $95, I thought my husband shouldn't have to lift a finger. I went back to the store and said that it was my understanding that they were supposed to send 2 delivery guys. One of the owners said, "Oh, it was a misunderstanding. I thought you said your husband was going to be home." I did say he was going to be home, but I clearly asked the owner if they would be sending 2 delivery guys, and he said they would. I thought he was just asking if someone was going to be home to open the door. Anyway, the other store owner clarified that for $95 they usually send 2 delivery men, but neither owner offered to compensate me for the fact that my husband had to "work" as the extra delivery guy. Seems like a shady business practice to me, so I will not be visiting this curious shop again! Next time, I'll stick to Great Finds and Design down the street.

The actual piece was in their other location (near 11001 York Rd.), so I did not get to see it before I purchased it. Donna (the owner) was very honest about the piece though and let me know about a small problem with it before I considered buying it. I first spoke to her on 7/13. I let her know I wanted the piece and she was happy to reserve it for me until I could pick it up on 7/17. She even went to the location where it was after she closed the shop to allow me to pick it up after work. Overall, the service I received was excellent. Donna was not pushy at all, which I found some consignment/antique dealers to be. She was genuinely friendly and helpful. From the conversations I overheard with other customers in the shop, she is extremely knowledgable about the pieces she sells. Also, the prices were extremely good for the quality of the items being sold. I would absolutely go back to Curiozity Shoppe any time I am looking for furniture or unique decorations. Just a note on the location: my GPS sent me to the wrong place at first. 75 W Timonium Rd. is not in the same parking lot as About Faces. It is on the same side of the street that the Red Roof Inn is, just across the street and next to McCormick's Paints.

I wrote to BBB and the alternative I was given, was to go to arbitration which would have cost me more money and I would have to get to the arbitration center.
