I purchased the Coburn pit couch, and ended up very disappointed after just one year. I thought it was an investment piece, but the down in the pillows meant every time we sat on it, it looked disheveled. The foam in the seats has not held up and the couch is mis-shapen. When I contacted customer service they said I was less than a month over when they could have helped replace the pillows. The quality does not match the price point. At least, the earlier versions of the product. Perhaps they've improved it, but they didn't fix the problem with me and so lost my loyalty and trust. read more

Worst purchase ever. So extremely disappointed in the quality of the sofa. My husband and I were so excited to finally "invest" in our furniture. Kids are out of the house, no pets, just us. We've had Costco couches (best quality but not the aesthetic I wanted) they were practical. $6000 for a sofa and I hate it! It hasn't even been 2 years and the cushions are sagging (I flip them weekly), the edge creeks when you get up and don't get me started on the quills I pull out of the sofa cushions. Very uncomfortable to sit back and relax only to feel needle like quills poking out that you have to pull so they don't poke you. The throw pillows ($120 per pillow) were unusable because of the quills even after purchasing pillow cases to go under the pillow covers. It is only my husband and I. We are not big people by any means so to have this kind of wear after 2 years on something I would expect 10 years from is so disappointing. I give it another year and it'll have to be replaced. From start to finish the experience of walking into Arhaus to the delivery of our sofa and chairs was seamless! Their new location is beautiful and quite spacious. The advantage to this store was there were so many sofas to try out. Our sales associate was Cami Walker and she was beyond lovely. She is very informative and kind and patient! We settled on a sofa and picked the fabric. We took some samples home with us and when we returned we found 2 chairs that we liked... they were actually in the outdoor section but Cami told us we could find fabric for inside. Cami told us the furniture should take about 8 -9 weeks and we were shocked when we were told our furniture was ready to be delivered within that time frame. We were kept up to date with the delivery day and time and were able to track the truck as it got closer to the arrival time, which was exactly when they said it would be delivered. The 2 gentlemen who delivered the furniture, and I feel terrible that I don't know their names, were excellent. They wore booties and white gloves and were quite patient because we had them move the sofa 3 times to get it right! read more

Arhaus - Furniture Stores Near Me - Towson, Maryland

We ordered a sectional in October of 2022. We received part of the sectional but have yet to receive the rest. We contacted Arhaus but were told the piece had yet to be manufactured. It is now seven (7) months later, and when I call customer service, they keep me on hold and either tell me nothing or hang up in the middle of the call as if it dropped. After I filed a BBB complaint, I received a call saying that the delay was because they had to send us a piece of material for our approval of the color. Think of how ridiculous this is. They gave you part of the couch, and they say they are waiting for our permission to color the connecting piece of the couch. What? I am going to get a different color for the connecting portion. Anyway, they can't get their stories straight. The other customer service says that the piece still needs to be manufactured. Now they are offering to refund the cost of the connecting portion, which renders the other two pieces useless. I swear that I had better customer service at Walmart. This was an $8K+ couch. read more

Very bad customer service. Never go to this store ever. Your money will be drained to the pit. We bought three room furniture from this store back in Nov. 2022. We were told that it will be delivered in March or April 2022. They were delivered in June 2022. The total purchase amount was $33,000. One of the rooms furniture was for dinining table, Nika dining table and the other one was Leandro coffee table. Both tables , they call is natural wood and can show the stains apparently, which we were not notified at the time of purchase. With in 2-3 days of use after keeping the water cups on these two tables , it started showing water marks which will not go away after drying. So we took the concern to the store to the same sales rep, Gwen. She said to talk with the concierge representative. Then we did that. The concierge representative said to talk to the store rep. Then we called back, Gwen said send her the pictures and email with details as some items came wrong too. 2-3 weeks go by and we kept emailing and calling. Then calleds were being ignored. I PERSONALLY GO TO THE STORE, GWEN SAID SHE CAN'T HELP ME AS SHE WAS SO BUSY. Then she said to call the manager. I called the manager, Jamie. She asked me to email the details to another person, Michelle. With so much back and forth with Michelle, same answer, they can't refund the items as it's NATURAL WOOD. So instead of just cutting the wood from the backyard, they want $10,000 from us for the selling it. Go with Haverty's as they are better prices, better customer service. I was looking for a new sofa. A classic piece, elegant and comfortable and my search took me to the Arhaus at Columbia mall. I was met by Moe and what I loved about her was the fact she didn't hover. She showed me a few pieces and let me roam the store to my heart's content. Guess what I settled on? A beautiful lamp. After years of old furniture I decided to update my furniture when I moved into a new space. Linda Papa was the sales Associate who helped me select the beautiful furniture I purchased. Linda was amazing! Linda kept me updated on the progress of my order weekly, and as I decided to add additional pieces she was great in assuring that all of the pieces were delivered together. I also bought 3 floor sample pieces and Linda helped me with a delivery service to pick up and deliver to my home. After having been reassured that it was cancelled, I received a bill in the mail. I purchased a bed from Arhaus on February 22, 2015 and was assured it would be delivered the following Thursday. Come Thursday, no bed. I called and they told me that the bed had to arrive in the warehouse first. Following that conversation I called the store several times and there was no new news. Finally I got a call saying that the bed would be in the warehouse by Monday, March 23rd. I waited until Friday to call and they said that it had not yet arrived. I called a week later and the clerk set up a delivery date of April 10. It was no surprise to have no delivery that day. I called the store later in the day and the clerk told me that there was a problem and that the manager of the store would call me. Guess what......no call received by Saturday evening. These people can't get it right. It seems that the clerks answering the telephone just string you along and pretend to set up delivery dates just to get rid of you. The store manager can't be bothered to call, assuming that he's even been told that there is a problem. Don't shop at this store - the furniture looks good but there's too much aggravation with employees' poor follow-through. Update 4/16/15 - never received a call from the manager although the sales clerk did call and send an apologetic email. I decided to cancel the order which was done easily. Instead I ordered the Legion Sleighbed from Wayfair. What a deal ... I ordered online and the bed shipped out 2 days later. Arhaus charged me $300 to ship the bed to my house. My husband and I got a new dining room table from Arhaus and we love it! Arhaus has some amazing pieces and we weren't sure what would look good in our space. We were able to have an interior designer from Arhaus come out to our house and do a mock up of what would look good within our budget. She also gave us some other ideas for our space, which as new homeowners was extremely helpful. The delivery of our table was prompt and drama free. The table itself, we were able to get off clearance, and is perfect for the space. It's very good quality that we know we will have for years. Very happy will definitely recommend! read more

Once you have purchased the furniture Arhaus is done with you. If there are any problems with the delivery Arhaus will not help you. They hire a separate company for delivery and set up. My sectional sofa which I paid $7,000 is still missing clips to hold the sections together. They insist you call "concierge" with any problems which is a completely different company. I was on hold for 20 minutes and they only sent one clip when I asked for three. I went to the Arhaus store in Columbia and spoke twice with the salesperson who sold me my sofa. She was reluctant to help me telling me to call concierge. I insisted she call while I stood at the counter. She was on hold for 15 minutes. She said she would have concierge call me. I asked she please just have them send me the clips I needed. Three weeks later, no clips! Customer service stops once you have made your purchase. read more

The most unsatisfactory customer service ever! I'll be the first to commend businesses and sales personnel when my patronage experience is very positive. However, please trust this and other critical reviews of Arhaus in Columbia, MD. I warn anyone considering a furniture purchase to avoid shopping there and especially not to use Gwen as a sales person. My husband and I ordered the Acero cocktail table on 1/4/19. We were told it could take several weeks to deliver due to the item being back ordered. After repeated calls that weren't returned from Gwen, denying she received my messages, and a cavalier attitude about our table not being delivered as promised, we finally are notified by the third party delivery company that the table was ready for delivery. Gwen was clueless and abandoned responsibility for keeping us informed on the order's status. Any information received on the status of the table was provided by Gwen's co-worker Tiffany who was very courteous and helpful even though she didn't make the sale. So finally we are notified the table has arrived after... 3 and a half months but the call came from the delivery company. And get this, as soon as I open the door to greet the delivery team, the first thing one of them said was, "They told you the table was damaged, right?" No, Gwen nor anyone else told me the table was damaged!! I had them to take it back after examining two very visible marks on the table. Then the delivery service says to keep and they can switch it out for another table in two days because they have 70 of the same table that were delivered to their Ohio warehouse. No thanks and no thanks to "Please let us know if we wish to do business with someone else next time," which is what the Arhaus Columbia, MD store manager said to me. Then to top it all off, three days later, Gwen leaves a voice mail asking if someone was wrong with the table that was delivered. Please heed this real story advice and other posts to not shop at this store. Also, ignore any rebuttal comments to this post saying Arhaus is sorry for my experience because it can not conceal their inept and corrupt sales practices! read more

Mixed review. In-store experience is a 5. Delivery experience is 1. Customer service rates 3. TL;DR: Never buy anything you can't carry out of the store yourself. Full length version: Mid-July: I purchased a Tao dining room table and 6 Aidan chairs from the Columbia store in mid-July. Maria in the store was very helpful, friendly, and overall fantastic. Every table is basically custom, one of a kind, so it was understood it would take a while to deliver, which was okay with me. Early Sept: They called to tell me the item has been found to be unsatisfactory and did I want it as a loaner while they sent out a new one? (Plus side: they inspected and told me. Minus side: why are they even sending it out?) I called Maria-in-the-store and she advised not accepting it. So I did not let them unload it. (Delivery attempt #1) Early October: They deliver the table (delivery attempt #2) and five of the 6 chairs. One of the chairs was defective (Plus: they didn't try to deliver a defective chair; Minus: this doesn't make me feel good about the quality if it can't survive delivery.) The guys set the table up; it wobbled, they left. Realizing the returns policy is **extremely restrictive** I took a video of my hand leaning on the table and went back to the store, told them we had to exchange it. In the store they said, what about the hardware? They didn't deliver or install any hardware, I didn't see any place for hardware. The girl in the store (not Maria) gave me the number for customer service, I called right there and texted her the video. "Okay we'll send someone out to install the hardware." In the meantime, I stuck a screwdriver between the table and the base, which stabilized it. (Hardware!) Early November: Furniture repair guy comes to install hardware. He didn't bring any; and he doesn't see any place to install hardware. Do the people who recommended this not know their own products? We are both on the phone with customer service at the same time. They will arrange a product exchange. Mid-late November: Wobbly table removed, replacement (and 6th chair) finally delivered (third attempt!) and all appears satisfactory. I love the table enough to have put up with 4 months of **** --But it took me 4 months to achieve delivery of satisfactory merchandise. In sum--beautiful furniture, but I will never buy anything from them again that requires delivery. read more

We searched many stores looking for a new sofa. The one requirement was that it had to be very soft. We finally arrived at Arhaus in the Columbia Mall in Maryland back in 2015 and found a very soft, really comfortable floor model. They absolutely assured us our purchased sofa would be exactly the same as the floor model. Based on their assurances (since this was the most important consideration in our decision) we purchased this very, very expensive sofa. It was to be custom manufactured and delivered. A few months later it arrived although we had to exchange some end pieces that were of the wrong orientation. It turns out that this sofa was absolutely the HARDEST/FIRMEST sofa I had ever sat on. When I complained they said it would get softer with use in a few months and dismissed me--it has not. It is still exceedingly hard with no sign of letting up. Needless to say, I am very disappointed and I am reminded daily of this uncomfortable sofa since we are stuck with it. I will never shop at Arhaus again and this too I reconfirm daily. To this day I am baffled how the floor model could be so diametrically opposite to what we were delivered. Beware!!! read more
