The prices are very fair. They offer a huge discount over buying similar new high quality furniture. However that being said the prices here are not your typical consignment store prices. This place offers only the cream of the crop for sale. Well curated collection. This is not your typical busted type of Goodwill thrift store. There is parking in front of the store but it is a bit tight. They have a restroom for patrons. The staff is always very friendly and cordial. Then she proceeded to follow us like a puppy, talking to us and breathing on us and "that's a comfy chair right?" before I could even find the buttons. I felt like I was being nagged by my mom. This is not a conducive environment to make a happy shopper. You give people a chance to look around and maybe find something they like. You don't corner them the first time their ass hits a chair. La-z boy sells itself. I didn't need the hard sell Teressa. We walked out angry. Sadly that store is the largest area showroom. At no point in time did the sales person or person scheduling a delivery correct me to let me know by "end" they meant an entire 1/3 of the couch that I was paying in full now. October comes and goes, but by November I have a delivery date for the final 1/3 of my couch I, again, paid for in August. I was getting text messages up to every two hours to confirm my delivery time and even a phone call two days before the Saturday it was to be delivered. On November 21st they called once again to tell me the couch was not there and I would need to get a refund for the whole thing. I called a second man the following Monday who said they would pick it up, refund the delivery charges and that would be that. Today I call to inquire about the refund, but instead am told to call an 877 number. They've filed chapter 11 on November 22, and now I will need to process through an entirely different system to get my money back. At no point in time were they honest in the sale or return of the couch that I no longer have but they certainly still have my money.

Rodger wasn't the first salesperson to approach us as we walked in but he was the only one who asked us what are needs were and walked us through the many sofa options they had. We saw pretty much every sofa on the floor and with his help narrowed it down to three. He checked the stock to see if what we wanted was available. All three were and now decisions had to be made. Rodger spent the next 30 minutes fielding questions from myself and my niece. Once the decision was made and were checking out. Rodger overhears a thruway comment my niece makes to her friend and then spends the next 20 minutes helping her pick out a bed set. We walked away with a sofa and bed both being delivered within the next 4 days. I cannot recommend Rodger enough. He made the entire process smooth and easy.

This dude was so instantly nasty to me, dismissive, condescending, just awful. I literally don't even know what I did wrong but try and buy a stack of books and try to get a discount cos I was buying a whole stack! Never ever before met a rude person here in the twenty years I've been coming (since before ravens stadium was built and they were across the street). I've bought thousands of dollars worth of appliances here (2 $500 stoves, a $1000 fridge, two dishwashers, and two washers and dryers), not to mention hundreds upon hundreds worth of lumber, trim, windows, doors, miscellaneous hardware, etc. I bought 400 dollars worth of upholstery cloth one time alone. I come in, I don't mess around, I know what I need and I am a friendly nice customer. (Because they use your phone number when you buy, also? they should be able to SEE this). I was buying BOOKS. Books are not their main business (and to be honest their prices are so out of scale it's crazy compared to thrifts--10 dollars each for a used hard over cover book from the 80s? I think there was one vintage item or two--I collect golden book kids encyclopedias) In the past they've basically tried to GIVE me books I wanted to buy! I wasn't buying anything from the "special glass cases. I asked Josh what they could do for me on these 20 books that I promise no one wants. (I promise). I picked up so many cos I have always been given a little break on stuff here! It's literally the way I thought they do business!!!! Nope. Not a single red cent. Off ANY book EXCEPT one they wanted 20 dollars for that didn't cost 20 new! (No it was not old or vintage!) I had 100 bucks of books in my cart he couldn't do 80? He wouldn't even discuss it and when I was frankly totally taken aback by this since it's so counter to EVERY EXPERIENCE IVE HAD THERE FOR OVER 20 YEARS--he threatened to call security on me!? For trying to bargain?????? These were all crap books. I want them for myself and to show my husband AND I make art from them. I'd have paid literally 10 for every set of four of these books at thrift. They wanted 10 and 15 dollars EACH. It wasn't just he wouldn't deal at all on price. He treated me like a criminal for no reason at all. He had his hand on his walkie talkie and when I kind of laughed just thinking he was driving a bargain he said he was going to call security on me!!!! He did this because I had the temerity to say "come on, not any discount at all? I'm buying in bulk!" And I mentioned I've never had them not come down on price on anything ever! I am a short, friendly 53 year old mom. fyi. What the living heck is going on with this place? It was SUCH an unpleasant and weird experience. I feel horrible. I will take my business to loading dock.
