My move included moving furniture from White Marsh to Mount Washington, with a stop in Timonium to drop off and pick up more items. A three stop move with lots of stairs at each location was quoted at $750. This was reasonable since I had anticipated spending about $1,000. Their window for a Friday move date was between 10-12. They called when they were about 20 minutes away and met me promptly at 10 AM. Four guys in a huge truck arrived and got right to work. Within half an hour we were on our way to the second stop to drop off a bed and retrieve the rest of the furniture. Off we went to the third and final stop to unload everything. I was nervous about large items fitting up a narrow stairwell, but the guys assured me that if I had measured right, they would have it all fitting in the apartment in no time. That they did. When everything was unloaded, the driver went over the listed items and made sure everything on the list had been moved and put in the apartment. The price quoted was the price I paid, and they were done in exactly two hours. I tipped each guy in cash and felt a huge sense of relief when they drove away - knowing moving day was successful and complete. Great customer service and fast and efficient movers.

The crew leader contacted me the day before to confirm the details and they showed up promptly the day of. They were incredibly friendly, fun, and energetic the entire time. And very polite. They treated all of our things very well and didn't have a problem moving any of the weird odds and ends we couldn't find a way to pack. When we arrived they put everything in the new house where we wanted it and even though we could tell they were suffering from the extreme heat and the weight and amount of our things, they never lagged or complained. My friend and I live in the same complex and moving to another unit across the parking lot. So, we need her place and my place moved into one space. We have packed everyone up and though we were ready to go. They called me to confirm my move today and spoke with Chris. We went over the items and then the price. He even threw in a free kitchen packing kit and said the guys would help. Cool. He also gave me discount and I was happy. Kion calls me an hour later asking me to confirm the move. What? He says his notes are confusing so he wants to check. We go over things, AGAIN. He then tells me that it sounds like more work so, he is going to send 5 guys instead of the original 2 guys and a truck because it's gonna be a big job and that it would take 9-12 hours and double the price that I was told. I booked my move a week in advance and paid a $100 deposit after being told it would guarantee my moving date and secure my spot. Then, only 3 days before my scheduled move, the manager -- I believe his name was David -- called to tell me they were fully booked for the entire week and that my move would either need to be rescheduled or canceled altogether. I made it very clear from the beginning that my apartment lease ends on the 31st and that I needed to move before then. Had this company been honest about the fact that paying a deposit did not actually guarantee service, I would have hired another moving company much earlier. Now I'm left scrambling at the last minute, despite having everything planned out. I also have to report to work in another state on the 1st, so this has created a major inconvenience and unnecessary stress. To make matters worse, speaking with them on the phone was a complete disaster. The communication was unprofessional, disorganized, and unacceptable. They agreed to refund the $100 deposit, but that does not make up for the inconvenience, stress, and potential consequences this situation may cause me. If I receive penalties from my landlord for a late move-out or face any employment-related consequences because of this company's failure to honor their commitment, I will absolutely be exploring all possible legal and consumer protection options.
