We spent 1,800.00 on a chair that did not last 2 years. That was 1,800.00 wasted. Then he accused us of not hearing what was said. We purchased leather couches which we thought would last a long, long time. We've had other leather couches which have been given to other family members. We purchased the couch and love seat thinking that the materials would be all leather. The salesman said the back of the sofa is vinyl, which really didn't matter because it is against a wall. What he failed to explain was that between the cushions is also vinyl. He even went over the kind of leather we wanted. The vinyl began to split after 2 1/2 years making the couch look horrible. I called the Sofa Store and was told it was vinyl and if we wanted to have it fixed it would cost minimum 200 for the material, plus the amount for the person to install it. I asked for the manager, was given the owner and explained my problem. She didn't back up their product, didn't offer any kind of compensation for an inferior product, and basically said if you want it fixed this is what you're going to have to pay. I sent her pictures showing the damage and still nothing. She wouldn't even give us free shipping on the new leather. We spent close to $3,500 for an inferior product - never again will we purchase anything from the sofa store. I cringe every time I see an ad for them. Buyer beware at the Sofa Store. UPDATE..... Jason, the owner called me today and apologized for our experience and said it was unacceptable how the repair was handled. He has made it right and it has renewed my experience with the Sofa Store. While we are absolutely in love with our couch we are not satisfied with the lack of communication in regards to our purchase. Although we are very understanding that Covid has resulted in major delays for deliveries, we were not afforded any formal communication in regards to an update about the process of production. Late review but better late than never I suppose. Bought a couch from them early 2016, received great service. The salesman was very attentive and knowledgeable, but did not pressure us. We ended up buying a L shaped Paliser couch. The funiture came on time, and it's honestly a more comfortable and well built couch than my Restoration Hardware furniture that cost 3x the price. There was a plastic stopper missing on the bottom of my couch upon delivery. The movers did not notice and upon putting the couch together the exposed screw grinded my hardwood floors very badly. The movers also put the couch together in a manner that blocked entry into the next room. After the movers fixed their mistake and admitted error the owner gave me his name and number. The number was fake and goes straight to voicemail. The Sofa Store is not accepting responsibility for this mishap, and they have somehow gotten in contact with the movers who also won't accept responsibility. As for the quality of the furniture itself: We purchased a $4,000 sectional sofa with power recliners. The fabric is rather cheap and upholstered using Velcro. Therefore, the fabric becomes wrinkled, loose, and old looking after about a week. I only weigh 160 lbs and when I stand up to get off the couch the entire couch tips forward. The materials are extremely light and cheap. There appears to be a missing bolt & nut set as well. The cords to the power recliners are huge power blocks that cannot be hidden with ease. They do come unplugged with ease and I have to reach behind the couch to plug them in again before I can recline. I imagine they are coming unplugged from the couching tipping upwards when I stand up. Overall I would not recommend. I purchased some additional furniture from Value City a week later. The quality was FAR superior and the couch was $3,000 less expensive. read more

I left and on my way out I commented that no one approached me the entire time I was there. I bought a beautiful leather sectional from there and it was a great price. I'm happy to say that I've had it for a whole year now and it looks brand new. We spent a good bit of time here. We had a friendly sales associate who was wise enough to be nearby if we needed him but to not make us feel like he was hovering. The product is decent, and I really enjoy that I can single handedly build my own sectional however I want it. However, it did worry us, that with such a great product, like the associate was saying, why would there only be a 5 year warranty? At least on the structure if not the upholstery. $4000 is a hard commitment to make for only 5 years. The showroom was clean and tidy and we were greeted promptly. 03/13/2019 The company has given us several solutions to fix the problem and we are appreciative for them standing behind their product. We love our sofa! 03/04/2019 Brought a sectional sofa, waited 8 weeks for it to be customized and delivered. It was finally delivered Monday(03/04/2019) and the legs of the sofa does not work. I refused the sofa and wanted them to take it back and fix it. 3 days later no one called us about the sofa. I called the manager and she said someone was suppose to reach out to us and that it will be fix and once its fixed they will deliver it. I called today (03/07/2019) to see when it would be fixed and they stated sometime next week. When I stated they had the sofa since Monday why can't I be given a date of when it will be fixed and it was stated to me that our sofa is a priority. Which made me question how can it be a priority when they don't have a date of when it will be fix, the reply was: sometime next week. I said if it was a priority it would have been fixed this week and I would have a date of when it would be fixed next week. I shouldn't have to be the one to consistently call the store to find out where my couches I purchased back in January 2022 are or what state of development they are in and what the estimated delivery date is. I shouldn't have to call the store when they say I am expecting my couches around the first week of June to verify that they are still due to arrive when quoted last to find out you delayed my delivery because of another SMALL order we placed that was on backorder (which when we placed the order, you had 2 in stock). YOU HAD MY COUCHES IN YOUR POSSESSION FOR WEEKS while my family has been sitting on a hardwood floor. AGAIN, NO PHONE CALL TO SAY YOU DELAYED MY ORDER. I finally got a delivery date but you FAILED to call me the day before and let me know what timeframe for delivery. I called the DAY OF (which happens to be today) as soon as you opened only to find out you would be delivering my furniture between 5pm and 8pm. I would not have had to take off of work and use my PTO (which I have high doubts you'll compensate me for) had you bothered to have any type COMMUNICATION but there has been NONE on your end. I am beyond upset over the lack of consideration for your customers. $12k we spent on purchasing furniture through your company. You'll never receive another penny from us nor would we ever recommend your company to others. read more

Although we had a fine experience in the store while purchasing our sofa, I am forced to give only 1 star due to the delivery company that was used. Our sofa was carried inside while it was raining with no wrapping around it, the throw pillows in a garbage bag and the actual sofa pillows (which were removable) were not secured by anything. When the guys reached my porch (which was wet) and realized they needed to change the position of the sofa to fit it through the doorway, they flipped the couch which caused all of the pillows to fall onto my wet and muddy porch. Did I mention the sofa is white? So while they continued to move the sofa inside and I frantically cleaned the cushions (a new record of having to clean the couch before it even got into the house!), all the delivery guy said was "I will have the store call you". I filled out the paperwork and made a note of the incident and waited for a call from the store to send someone out to clean the cushions. Did anyone ever call me? No. I will never buy anything from that store again and I suggest that you don't either. Shame on them for hiring a terrible delivery company to transport two thousand+ dollar sofas. read more

I purchased a sofa. When the sofa was delivered two of the pieces to hold the legs on were not in the sofa. They had to leave the sofa, with no legs and schedule a repair person to come and fix it. He was not available for a week. So, I had my brand new sofa with no legs for a week. The repair person, who is great, had to completely take the arm completely off to get to the place he needed to put the bolts to hold the legs on. Seems trivial but to me my sofa is not "new from factory anymore". They offered me $50 for the inconvenience. I am very disappointed that I purchased a sofa brand new and now it has been taken apart and put back together to fix something that was defective from the factory.
