Steve immediately greeted us and let us try out some beds. He asked good questions to determine what kind of mattress we were seeking and he listened and was thoughtful in suggesting a few to try. He got us some great discounts, too. We were able to get a twin foam mattress, a box spring and mattress protector for under $400. The mattress actually came in a box that fit in the front seat of our car. That was wild! The box spring fit in our SUV and Steve carried it out, helped twine/bungie, and then sent us on our way. We did decide the box spring is too tall so I'm communicating with Mattress Warehouse for an exchange, but so far that has been decent too. We will definitely buy our future mattresses from this place and hopefully directly from Steve.

I live out of town -- my mother lives in a retirement community in Catonsville. I was visiting for a few days and realized that my mother needed a new mattress. I wanted to have it delivered while I was there so I could get her situated. I called and got David on the phone. He recommended a high quality mattress that was on sale for a good price. He arranged to have it delivered the next day. The delivery guys came when they said they would, took away the old mattress and put the new one in place. They even put the waterproof encasement and the mattress pad on the bed. My mother has a bad back and some mobility issues. The new mattress was super comfortable, but just a little bit thicker than her previous one. This made it more difficult for her to get into bed. I called David the next day to seek a solution. He suggested a lower profile foundation. He had one in stock. Because it was a safety issue, David moved heaven and earth to get the new foundation to my mother quickly. I had to leave before the foundation could be delivered (although it was just a day later). David and the manager of the Frederick store personally took the new foundation to my mother's home. When they were finished putting everything in place, David took the time to call me, told me that they had even made my mother's bed, and told me she was lovely. Honestly, I cannot imagine kinder, more effective service. Thank you!

Any upholstered furniture has to be riddled with bodily fluids, and the rest *look* like they belong in a cheap hotel - not your home. There are real used furniture stores that sell good pieces (Owings Mills, Timonium, Glen Burnie), go support them.

So I headed over to my friend Yelp and found That Mattress Place. It had pretty awesome reviews, so I figured what the heck, let's check it out. I was immediately greeted and after telling the gentlemen what I was looking for, he put me through a rigorous selection process to find just the right mattress...he had me roll around on several mattresses to test them out. It was actually a lot of fun. The mattresses are all lined up against the wall with no space in between, so I just rolled down the whole line..ladies be sure to wear pants! LOL. Anyway, though it seemed like a lot of fun and games, he was able to accurately pinpoint the type of mattress I desired, firm with a touch of soft and plush. I tested a couple others and was able to pick my mattress within 15 minutes of arriving! After selection, on to payment discussions and delivery (he said he could deliver that afternoon but I was heading to a couple other spots after, so I wasn't available. But same day delivery was awesome!) Delivery is $60 which is the typical amount but my mattress was about $400 cheaper than what I saw on other websites. *WINNING!* From the moment I stepped into the store, the customer service was excellent, the prices were fabulous and overall I am very pleased. Can't wait to get my new mattress today! Oh and I found out that this place is 100% referral. The gentlemen asked how I heard about the store and I told him Yelp. The owner of this shop used to work at one of the reputable furniture shops on the same street and he opened his own place. He knows where to buy quality mattresses without all the brand names that hike up the price. He has been doing well and recently expanded to the space next door so he can sell more furniture. The store is super simple- nothing fancy about it, no paint, no decorations, nothing. And I'll take that any day if that means I pay less for a great mattress. I paid for delivery with a private guy he recommended and they are okay but were running a little late when they brought my mattress over.

Googled and found Mattress Mike which was near me and didn't know existed. Took a chance and decided to drop by in person to see what was available which was on a Saturday. I found a nice three piece set: couch, loveseat, and chair that was available. Decided to check another place and found the same set for slightly cheaper. Came back to talk with Alberto (who was super nice and worked with me patiently) on comparing prices. He was able to match for the cheaper price if I was able to buy that set that day or next day and get delivery by Monday. I went ahead and got it. Fast forward to Monday. I got a call from Alberto saying their delivery guys could only find two of the three pieces for my order to deliver. I could get a black/white set (in picture below) or try another set that was similar at no additional charge since their was an error on the factory end. He sent a text with the picture of the available option which I also really liked and I decided to go with it. They delivered it by 4pm on Monday. Delivery guys were super fast and polite. I would highly recommend using them again even with the slight hiccup they handle extremely well. Picture 1: set in the store they had to showcase. I originally ordered that set but in all black Picture 2: set that was available last minute that's was delivered. I love it!

I take sleep VERY seriously and appreciate the system they have to narrow down their selections. Edrees wasn't pushy, took his time to explain what he was doing when having us test out like 7 different models & their features, and then left us alone for a few to make up our own minds. It was a good processes and we felt good about the decision. This brands are all solid and well-known, and their process seems pretty tight. Give yourself an hour or so if you go, it's no surprise these things aren't inexpensive and you're going to spend a quarter of your life in bed, so make it count.
