If you're looking for a store to browse in, I definitely recommend Su Casa. My grandma and I visited earlier today to window shop, and the home decor pieces were very eclectic yet beautifully arranged. I had to take a few photos of varied ideas I want to test out in my new place. Ms. Dawn, one of the store employees, was extremely charming and very helpful--even giving us an inside scoop of "must try" bakeries in the area as my grandma and I were craving a sweet treat. I've passed by Su Casa when walking through Fells so many times and always wanted to stop in! I finally did stop in on Saturday when I was walking past the store. From the window displays, I thought it was more of a home decor store, but when I walked in, it became clear it's more of a furniture store with some home decor in some corners of the store. We don't need any big furniture pieces, but we did take a look around the home decor corners, and they have some fun tchotchkes. Some kitchen goods, some glassware, etc. The quality of the products they carry looked really good, and there were definitely some things I took a second look at. Went out for 3 items - couldn't resist! They have such cool items at this store. I went with my mom and she told me before hand "I'm not buying anything!"... she walked out with 2 things that she's saving as a gift for the future. Their candle selection is also marvelous. I usually hate when I smell a candle and I can't smell it immediately. The candles there are strong and durable. Love this shop! i'm more recently moved to the area and have been by and in this shop multiple times. The area overall has great jobs, but this is one of my favorites to bring friends and family by when they come to visit and are in town. The staff is so kind and even when I have my little dog with me, they're always eager to give my pup a treat. I wish I had known about it before I bought the items for my apartment but even after this is my go to place for great gifts and creative decor as they have a great selection that brings a beautiful Baltimore edge and spirit. This makes me feel like not everything they have is made in the Baltimore area. If that is what you were looking for, then I would be a bit more cautious. Such a cute gift store! I love these kind of home goods places and was happy to stumble across this. I was on the hunt for a notebook and although I did not find one that was my taste, I did find some other fun things. I loved the world maps they had at this store and the warm home touches like paintings, posters, signs, and more. I ended up getting my best friend an adorable cocktail book called, "Gone with the Gin." We have a bucket list of AFI movies to watch and this book turned our list into cocktails. My fiancé and I walked in because we were drawn to all of the paintings made from local artists. We actually bought two within minutes of being there. Meanwhile, as I shop around to continue to browse the rest of the store, I come across a fun book, RBG quotes or something. Pick it up, hold it, and continue to make my rounds around the store. An old white man, who I assume works there, stereotyped me and asked to give him the book while I continued shopping. And profusely tried to take the candles I was smelling, too. Disgusted by this, we left. If I could have returned the paintings to make a statement by how grossly rude this was, I would have. If I could afford it, I'd decorate my entire place with the items they sell (I tested out a few of their sofas and it was tough leaving the store without one). They have large furniture pieces/area rugs and smaller items like mugs and candles. They even have artwork and pieces by local artisans and craftsmen which I personally appreciate. This allows an audience of both locals and tourists to own items made in and by Baltimore. Because it's the holiday season, they also offer ornaments and such. The staff was friendly and willing to assist when needed. My boyfriend and I purchased our first home in April 2020. While we could have gone with a company like Arhaus, we decided to shop local (thinking they'd appreciate the business more) spending over $10k of furniture during the height of COVID-19. WHAT. A. MISTAKE. First, they took furniture right off their floor that other people touched and had been using for who knows how long. After a few months, our dining room table starts to peel and chip paint. Su Casa at first tried to replace our table with other tables because apparently ours was discontinued. However, I bought this table as a set with a matching bench and chairs, so repairing it was the only option if I was going to match everything that I purchased from Su Casa. I was promised it would be done in two weeks with plenty of time before Thanksgiving. We scheduled a noon pick up with Brian, who I originally bought all this overpriced furniture from. The driver calls me after 12pm to tell me they are running late and won't be there till 2:30 pm, while giving me an attitude and telling me they are running behind. After 2:30 pm comes and goes, I ask my boyfriend if he can wait bc I had an errand to run. I come back at 4pm and they're finally there to pick up the table (which the driver called neither of us to let us know he was running FOUR hours late). When I see the driver I spoke to in my driveway, I say, "so this is 2pm?" He decides to go off on me about them running behind and to "call Brian if I have a problem with it." WOW. Brian profusely apologized, but offered nothing but apologies and that person is still delivering furniture for this company. Three and a half weeks went by with no phones calls. Finally, I called and asked what the status of my table is (and why I have to call to find out?!) I was told by Carly, the manager of Ellicott City, where I bought the table that the owner Nick said I could have the table back as is with money returned or wait until he finds the correct color bc he was working on it. Another three weeks have gone by and I just called the EC store, spoke to Carly and just said I'd like the table and my money back (which is what she originally offered me). Magically, the table is now done and can be delivered to me in seven days. It's been TWO MONTHS, not TWO WEEKS. When I spoke to Nick, the owner of SU CASA, today to schedule a date for delivery all I was offered was an apology and a curt attitude of scheduling a delivery date. I should have taken my $10k and went to Arhaus and so should you. UPDATE: don't bother reviewing them on FB bc they will take down your posts and block you. read more

I bought 2 identical couch looking red sofa-beds over 2 years for our Great Room from Su Casa. I loved the way the 1st one looked so much I ordered a matching sofa-bed the next year. See photo. I got the idea after seeing a similar leather covered couch at a friends house. However, I wanted a "warmer" cloth cover. I shopped around the DC metro area and could only find leather covered sofa-beds. I got on-line and found what I wanted by a Canadian company. Su Casa was the nearest furniture store that handle this company's products. So we trekked to the Fells Point location from southern MD. Glad we did! When I decided to order a 2nd sofa-bed, I called and made the financial arrangements and they placed the order. Both items were delivered within the time frame promised. There was 1 slip up. The legs on the 2nd sofa-bed was black instead of the natural brown stain to match the 1st sofa-bed. No problem! Su Casa ordered the correct legs for me and mailed them to me also with the time frame promised. There was no wailing or teeth gnashing to get the correct legs; not even a follow up call from me. Su Casa called and said the legs were in and they mailed the legs. That is service I can not complain about. Mistakes happen. It's how the company reacts when a mistake happens that matter. One time, I came in looking for a sofa, and immediately fell in love with the one on display but when it was over $1,500, I was not in love with it anymore, haha! I am very sensitive to not being greeted when I'm in a store while everyone else around me gets a "hello!" This was the situation here even though there were three men, two in Holiday-print suits, working on the floor and varying numbers of customers going in and out. I was able to browse the entire store, all the corners even, with not one eyeball of contact even. But, the store's inventory is so well curated that it still gets 4-stars. Way back just as the Stay at Home order began, I ordered a custom bed from Su Casa. I was very specific about what I wanted, and they made it all happen. Everyone, from the owner to the staff, have been just great and I highly recommend this local store. The staff have been friendly, responsive and professional during the entire experience. I finalized details and bought the bed from Brian W, but then also spoke to the other Brian, Carly and Noah. When the manufacturer was closed for COVID-19, they kept me up to date and let me know the new potential shipping time. I was concerned about new people coming into the house to deliver, and the staff answered all my questions. Whether it was a return email or return call, I always heard back promptly. Fabian and Joe set the new frame up. They wore masks, and it made me very comfortable that they took my comfort and safety seriously. They worked quickly, left the area clean, and were great to talk to. One small custom piece needed a tweak, and Nick came back to install that. I couldn't be happier with my beautiful new custom bed and the service at Su Casa! Also, Su Casa hosted a blood drive in April, during a time of desperate need. This is a store that cares about its staff and community, and I support local, thoughtful businesses that sell great products. read more

Su Casa is a great store to go to if you are in the area. It has a lot of home items for various rooms. I especially like their selection of kitchen decor items. They also have cute pots, jars, and containers for plants. From what I could tell, everything was high quality. In addition to home decor, there were other things closer to the area where you pay that are cool to check out. The reason I give this store a four is due to the prices of many items in the store. My fiance got his sectional from here many years ago, and though he paid a pretty penny for it, it was worth every cent. It's so comfortable, soft, and cozy. I've bought lots of gifts here for holidays, birthdays, and just because! The variety and quaintness of items make it fun to browse and shop around. Nevertheless, a terrific (albeit smallish) selection of handcrafted furniture, lots of novelty items and hard to find trinkets full of wit and oddity. One star because I was followed and eyed throughout my visit which made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, and upon leaving, I was also excluded from the otherwise abundant thank-yous and good-byes. I have a darker complexion and stood out among the generally homogeneous clientele. Of course, this being a subjective review, you would be remiss not to draw your own conclusion. I hate to leave a bad review for this store, but I was sold a horrible sectional couch. The sectional cost us close to $4000 and the pillows are a mess. Every time we sit on the sofa the pillows lose their shape and the inside cushion has to be fixed. We complained about this 2 months after we made the purchase. The store gave us a roll of the material used inside the pillow and said stuff some more inside and this would fix it. This did not work and I feel they did this just to get rid of us. Now I will be replacing the sectional with a new sectional from a different store and we will be taking a $4000 loss. The sofa pillows are that bad and are getting worse. I always like this store because is has nice employees and neat house wears. Su Casa sold us a bad product and should replace it or give our money back. Beware read more

There are a lot of things to like about Su Casa. It has a great location, friendly staff, and the prices aren't prohibitive at all. If your home was a blank slate, you could get just about everything you needed at Su Casa to fill it up. My own personal tastes however, have kept me from buying much of anything here. I wouldn't say that the stuff they sell is boring, but it does lack personality in my book. It's by no means as bad as a place like Pier 1 Imports (seriously though...the last time I walked into one of those stores, I just thought to myself....who the heck shops here?), but overall I think the place just lacks depth. To put it another way, the last day when there was a chance I'd buy anything other than a gift or the smallest of accents (I'm talking fridge magnets here) at Su Casa was the day before I discovered Trohv in Hampden. read more

I love Su Casa! Not only do they have reasonably priced, well made, and stylish furniture, but their customer service is top notch. They are helpful without being pushy (*ahem* Arhaus), and the store is so fun to browse! As an example of their service: our first large purchase here was a couch. It was mistakenly marked at a lower price, but they offered to honor the lower price anyways without us even asking! When it came time for delivery, the couch literally showed up at our door at exactly the specified time (i'm not sure that this has ever happened to me). We live in an apartment with security and a doorman, so the fact that the delivery guys were able to bring it to our door without bugging us at all was great.
