When we moved into a townhouse we had a room that we wanted to serve as a guest room and a multi-purpose TV room, but weren't convinced a "couch bed" would be the right fit. (We've all seen the Seinfeld episode where Elaine sleeps in a bad one and can't walk for a week) We found Seth Michael while doing a deep-dive Google search of king-sized sleeper sofas. Their website detailing different models is great. We scheduled an appointment at their Baltimore office and were sold immediately. Michael was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable - he also helped us find discounts, worked with us on shipping and delivery, and was a delight. We love it so much and can't recommend the sofa or Seth Michael / MiY Home enough. read more

We bought a sofa bed from Seth Michael and had it shipped to Arizona. The customer experience at the purchase was perfect. Still, a good experience at the point of sale is pretty easy. What happens when there is a problem? We found out. We moved from one city to another in Arizona and discovered after the move that the sofa bed did not work as it had in our previous house. Truly, we didn't expect much in terms of help. We often experience customer service as a dying skill set wherever we turn. But, we were wrong to assume the worst!!! Michael and Seth took care of our issue so attentively and with so much follow-up that we were stunned by the level of care they exhibited. As a result, I would buy anything they sold. They have proven their level of integrity. We have established that they are good people. They also have a good product. The sofa bed worked like a dream for us. My septuagenarian arthritic hands could open the sofa into a bed and back easily. Comfy sleeping for guests, too! read more

Seth Michael is the most professional, friendly and accommodating company with whom I have done business. Their outstanding customer service is second to none. When you contact them, they immediately respond - unlike so many other businesses these days. Beautiful furniture, with most competitive prices, and the best in customer service. I feel like I made new friends! Thanks so much for the outstanding customer service, Seth and Michael! read more

After doing a ton of research on sofa sleepers, Luonto was the brand that continued to pop up. I cannot say enough positive things about working with Michael at Seth Michael. I find it difficult to shop "long distance" especially for a sofa sleeper...however, I was very impressed with their online videos of sofa selections, walk thru of showroom and demonstration showing ease of operation. They are truly a customer service based company...from ordering, delivery and in house placement...as well as follow up...5 stars! The sofa arrived and it is just perfect for our guest room. Do not hesitate to do business with Seth Michael...you will not be disappointed. Patricia H., Vero Beach read more

My husband and I recently relocated to Baltimore from San Francisco and live near MiY Home and drive by there all the time. We recently did a major renovation on our loft condo and kept saying that we needed to stop in and check the place out. We finally did and were so glad that we took the time to do so! Unfortunately we had already purchased a lot of the furniture we needed for our place somewhere else. We ended up purchasing two love seats for our master and guest bedrooms. The quality of the products they sell are amazing and we spent a good hour looking at different fabrics with Seth. We had such a great time talking to him and he is incredible to work with as he knows his products and was able to help us pick out exactly what we looking for. If you're looking for great quality furnishings reasonably priced with outstanding customer service I would recommend that you check this place out! read more

MiYHome is the best furniture and Interior Design store in town, hands down! The store is impeccably designed and appointed, and you will easily find all of your home design needs in one place. I love my mattress too! =) read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed MiY Home yet! I bought a home in Baltimore six years ago and have accumulated many pieces of furniture from here. Michael and Seth are the owners and really know their stuff! The first time I visited here, they helped me design the layout for my rooftop deck. We decided on a modern outdoor sectional with two outdoor lounge chairs, a side table, coffee table, and umbrella. The quality of the furniture, their knowledge, and personable touch had me coming back. A common issue with rooftop umbrellas is that they can often disappear on a windy day. They recommended a double vented umbrella and I haven't had any issues. A few years later, I purchased a sleeper sofa, coffee table, and two armchairs. The furniture is modern and most of it can be customized based on your tastes. When it was time to upgrade my bedroom furniture, of course I went to MiY again. Once again, I was wow'ed by their line and got matching bed/headboard, two nightstands, and dresser. I love how clean the modern look is and all of the pieces are very sturdy. I also bought my mattress from them (they carry Serta because they're made in Maryland!). Fast forward a few years to now, I am in the process of building a sectional with Michael and Seth. They could not be more accommodating, even with COVID. They are able to provide private shopping by appointment and provide you their full attention to understand what you're looking for. I changed my mind a few times and they were so patient with me. They even let me take home some of the fabric samples so that I could see what the colors I was deciding between would look in my home. read more

Well, this is my first Yelp review and it's dedicated to the owners of MiY home and sleep lab Z. I am semi-new to the area and needed some furniture for my new place. I was greeted with a smile and a sincere hello. My experience at MiY stood out compared to other mattress and furniture shopping experiences because it didn't have a "used car salesman" type feel to it. Instead, they took time to show me each mattress, helped finding my new favorite pillow and sheets while helping me plan my Gus sectional sofa for the future. Pretty excited about that! Thanks guys, it was actually fun! read more

This furniture options in this store are great and very modern (there are several different levels of furniture to check out) but the customer service is really exceptional. These guys will take the time to explain your options and help you make sure you love what you're buying, and they don't pressure or rush you to buy anything. I'm very satisfied with my couch and will definitely keep them in mind for future purchases. read more

MiY offers quality service and exceptional products. I've purchased two showroom items (sofa and bed) and have been so pleased with the style and quality of the material, as well as the friendliness and responsiveness of the owners and delivery team. Delivery was affordable and timely. We've received so many compliments on the pieces and have been inspired to paint/redecorate our rooms to match the styles of the pieces. We will definitely return to MiY for our decor needs! read more

LOVE MiY. We bought three custom couches and an ottoman from them. The owners helped us pick the perfect coordinating fabrics and were truly interested in helping us pick the right style and fabric for us. They kept us updated on the status of our order and made sure we were 100% happy. Wonderful service. - They also support local artists by displaying and selling their work. They also have really cool gift items. We bought multiple Christmas presents there, from candles (which were a HUGE hit) to a wooden robot. read more

A wonderful shopping experience! The buyers for this store have a sharp eye for innovative and modern design and the staff is just amazing. Inside the store you'll find multiple levels of bedding, accessories and stylish furniture, but be sure not to miss the 2-level roof deck and all of the outdoor furniture! Possibly the best time I've ever had in a home store. We'll definitely be returning to MiY in the future! read more

Every time I pass MiY Home, I feel tempted to make a purchase or at the minimum compelled to look around. The owners are welcoming and laid back and whether you are looking for an accent piece, a small house warming gift for a friend or still researching the perfect sofa-MiY Home is the place to shop. No matter your shopping style-impulsive or painstakingly methodical (depending on the size of the purchase, I can be either) the owners are invested in helping you make the right purchase for your home. This is just the type of small business and store I want to support in my neighborhood. read more

Hilarious experience there today. My wife and I walked into the store just after lunch. We are looking for a sofa and are eager to buy and were greeted with a hello. Then browsed the entire store. Nice layout, beautiful store. Completely ignored by the staff. To the point that it was comical. We've visited five or six furniture stores and typically get "can I show you something in particular?" Or " do you have any questions we can answer?" Here we got a hello then nothing in the way of customer service or salesmanship. And the store was empty except for one other couple that was also being ignored. Could we have asked for help? Of course! But after our fifth time walking by the two gentlemen staring at their iMac screens we became curious as to whether they intended to acknowledge our presence beyond hello. My wife and I wondered if they in fact even worked there. We are not inclined to go back - most of what they sell can be purchased elsewhere in stores where we can get the attention we expect for the amount of money we plan to spend. read more
