I had simply the best experience with Su Casa! I would recommend to anyone to go there if you're looking for great, contemporary furniture and amazing service. Store manager, Derek, and owner Nick, were so wonderful to deal with. They helped me with my move up to Boston and Derek really took care to address all my concerns about my furniture fitting in my new apartment. He even went online and looked at the equation for a hypotnuse to determine if the movers would be able to fit my couch through my window! Now that's service. Such a cute little store hidden in Fell's Point! Great customer service to boot. I had been on a hunt for Lavender Citrus Tea Forte tea, and Megan searched their stock and called their other store to locate two boxes for me. All the while, she kept me posted on her progress with phone calls. They then held the tea for me for several days until it could be picked up. I'm one very satisfied customer. read more

I have had a good experience here, as I wandered in here to browse not knowing I would fall in love with a soft, plush oversized Alligator baby blanket. It looked like one-of-a-kind, and I did google searches but could not find the Maison Chic blanket to actually purchase without being a wholesale buyer. So I called Su Casa again and purchased it via their sales associate, who offered to gift wrap it (an ok-job, tape was messy and paper not cut straight, but met my requests to use anything blue and green - cute curling ribbon) and they shipped it to my house in a larger shipping box with foam peanuts. It came within 3 business days, so I was very happy with the service and was extremely eager to ship this off to my cousin's new baby in Japan. Japan is full of amazing and weird toys, but I hope that they have never seen an alligator blanket that is nearly 3 feet x 3 feet big! It was $35 plus tax and shipping = $43. So, while I normally wouldn't spend that much on a baby blanket, I knew this was a good purchase and will put a smile on their faces! The store is full of really fun and quirky findings, as well as traditional, practical wares, and furniture. I'd like to go back if I have some money to spare :) read more

Talking about some 'funky' styling - oh yeah, get it at Su Casa. I love their style. We found some great sofas, cool tables and plenty of decor items to furnish in a contemporary and at times retro style. You'll love the offerings and want to buy up the whole store. In an area that's kind of isolated and I remember there being a bread company nearby so you could smell baking bread as you walk down the street. read more

Refreshingly good service on furniture purchases

Very disappointed in this store. I like the selection. We splurged on a set of dining chairs. The initial customer service was excellent. We were quoted 8-10 weeks for delivery of the chairs. 14 weeks later we do not have chairs. We had to call on multiple occasions to request loaner chairs for a family event. There was no accountability for the wait on their end and no concession in price despite the long delay. Due to this experience I would not shop with them again. read more

At this point I am unable to review anything but the customer service, which thus far consists of employees not being truthful. My hope is that by posting this, someone from the store will be able to tell me where my couch is. I wish to stress that I do not have an issue with the time frame quoted for the custom made couch, the issue is not being given answers to the very simple request for updates on the near $3,000 couch I have paid for in full; and, when I have been given information, it has been either vague or downright bizarre. 11/11/16 Placed order with Lucas for a Sedona sectional (item #860-YNG-22 and #860-YNG-71). Asked for fabric swatch to be mailed to me. Paid 50% of total cost. Told it would be 8-10 weeks. (8 weeks = 1/6/17; 10 weeks = 1/20/17) 12/18/16 - 5 weeks after order placed Called and paid remaining 50%. Asked for update. Woman I spoke with said she would check and I would be updated the next day. Also asked for swatch to be sent, as I never received one. 12/19/16 Received call and was told that the couch was still in production, should be done in the 8-10 weeks time frame. Around 12/27/16 - about 6.5 weeks after order placed Called and spoke with Lucas, who said they were expecting a shipment from Younger next week, and he would send an email after calling them to see if my couch was part of the shipment. I never received an email. 1/3/17 - about 7.5 weeks after order placed Called and spoke with Jody, who told me it had only been six weeks since I placed the order. This is quite confusing to me, and I now wonder if the order was actually placed in mid-November. 1/6/17 - 8 weeks after order placed Physically go to store to inquire about progress of my order. Spoke again with Jody, who reiterates it's only been 6 weeks. I offer to pull up the calendar on my phone so we can count the weeks since I placed the order. She then states, "Weekends don't count because they don't work weekends." She also said the manufacturer had updated them that day, and the couch would be sent the following week. The only conclusion I have made from her statement is the furniture industry has redefined "week" to be seven non-consecutive days, excluding weekends and holidays. If this is the case, it would be helpful to tell customers this definition so they don't estimate delivery dates based on the more common definition of "week" meaning seven days in a row. 1/18/17 - 9.5 weeks after order placed Called the store and spoke with Lucas, who said the couch was shipped 1/9/17, but the delivery company "is experiencing some delays" and he could not tell me when it would arrive. The manufacturer is located in North Carolina, I know they had some snow last week, and as I lived in Raleigh for ten years prior to moving to Baltimore, I understand that snow shuts down the state for absurd periods of time. However, not having any idea where something is seems irresponsible at best. 1/21/17 - 10 weeks after order placed I called the store and spoke with Ryan, who said the couch was expected to ship 1/9, but there are no notes from Lucas about any shipping delays, and I have to wait to speak with someone from the main office on Monday. read more

SUMMARY: Local, fun shopping in Fells. FULL STORY: I have shopped here a few times for a friend's housewarming, birthday, Christmas, and also for my own place. What stands out most is that everyone who has helped me here has been beyond pleasant and helpful. It has a really nice neighborhood feel when you go in. They have furniture and lots of housewares, including kitchen... some more unique (Maryland crab pillows) and some pretty standard (Re-wined candles). It looks like they can order furniture for you in different fabrics, but it's not something I've tried... I do feel like the prices are a little more "boutique" than, say, similar items at West Elm. I entered this location on the evening of 2/17/2017 around 7:00pm to an empty store except for two employees, one male and one female, engaged in a conversation at the counter. Upon entering the employees made direct eye contact but never greeted or acknowledged me but continued with their conversation. I browsed for approximately 10 minutes still without any acknowledgement from staff who continued to talk and walk back and forth to a back room. I was truly taken aback by this rude encounter until finally a customer entered a side door and was energetically greeted. He picked up merchandise that apparently was being held for him at the counter and then exited the same side door. Several minutes later a couple entered and greeted with the same energetic greeting given to the gentleman who entered the side door....still the employees had not said one word to me...I have never entered a retail location and not been greeted in some form....then it hit me the differences in my experience here and customers that came in after me was the reception from the employees and skin tones....you do the math. read more

This place is decent but I find it to be overrated and way over priced. In no way am I cheap but spending $35 on a salt and pepper shaker seems steep to me. I think this place is more so designed for tourists. read more

Su Casa is a really cute place and I could spend hours checking out the various knick knacks. It's a great place to buy birthday gifts, Xmas gifts, etc. We frequently take out-of-town guests to stroll through. If not for the $$$, I would easily give 5 stars! *Friendly tip: some of the items at this store can be bought for much lower prices elsewhere. For example, the tin panel wall decor. My hubby and I found the same items (from the same manufacturer) at a Farmer's Market in D.C. for about ~$100 cheaper. read more

My daughter was setting up an apartment in Boston. She purchased all of her furniture from Su Casa. Derek was her salesperson. He was absolutely incredible and guided us through the whole purchasing process. The apartment is small and the design advice that Derek gave my daughter turned out to be exceptional. Everything fit perfectly. Everything that she purchased is very unique. We both could not be happier with Su Casa. I bought a really great sleeper sofa and ottoman for my tiny apartment. I was able to set it up like a sectional for maximum space efficiency because of the alternate long cushion that it comes with. It's a really modern and clean look too. The staff helped me select a great upholstey fabric, plus accent fabrics for the pillows. I really love it. Its very comfortable too. Plus their delivery guys were on-time and polite. Buying at Su Casa was a very satisfying experience because it also offers good value for such high quality products and service. It was worth going the extra mile to shop in Baltimore for it even though I live in DC. The Fells Point location is really neat and I made an afternoon of it. Thanks Su Casa!! :) read more

We bought all our furniture from Su casa. Now a couple of years later, the quality is showing to be pretty bad. Our dining table turns out not to be solid wood but veneer, the top started to come off, now this piece of furniture is almost 3000, which is not cheap. W complained to sucasa who took the dining Table for another 4 weeks ( since the furniture took 8-10 weeks to arrive in the first place), and they basically just super glued it back, well a month later it has come apart again. I will never purchase anything from su casa again, I think they are overpriced for the low quality you get. Oh and our couch's buttons have come off, will we be calling them? What's the point, we'll probably just throw the junk away. read more

We dropped in looking for a sofabed on a Friday night. Actually we wanted to go to IKEA for the bed. But then there was a special priced really nice bed on the floor. The challenge was we needed the bed for two days later as friends where coming to visit from abroad. Could Su Casa deliver so quickly? YES! Wow, Nick personally delivered the bed and put it up. Update: I have upgraded to two stars from one star because of how the manager finally handled my complaint. They called to give me updates, schedule an appointment ahead of time, and were accommodating to my scheduling needs. This did make up some for the previous customer service experiences, but it does not make me want to use them again. So thumbs up to management (at the fells point location) thumbs down to customer service overall. I ordered furniture in June that was supposed to be delivered in August. I know they have no control over when the furniture arrives, however their horrible communication is what is causing this review. I called to see where my table was and they informed me that it was waiting to be shipped and that my chairs were on back order. They asked if I would like the table sent separately and I said yes. Two weeks later and no table I called again and was told they have to call down to the Fells Point office and would call me right back. I received a message the next day saying that the chairs were ready and would be sent with the table by the end of the next week. End of the next wee comes around and I have not received a call. I called again, and again they had to call to fells point and would call me back. No one called me back. I called the next day and receive the same story. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she would put me on the schedule ahead of time. She asked days that would be best and yet again, called to Fell Point to see the options. Never received a call. I called back on Monday and was told again that they would find out and call me back. Tuesday and no call, I called to Fells Point and left a message for the manager. She called the next day and said my table and chairs were being shipped (likely story). I said I wanted to get on the schedule ahead of time and she was hesitant. I do not know what happened, but clearly the communication system is horrible. I work in customer service and if I did not call people back we would lose a client. And that is what is going to happen. If I ever receive my table and chairs I will not shop at Su Casa again. I will also share my story with friends and family. All they had to do was keep me in the loop and actually call me back. read more
