I just happened to be next door at a different place when I remembered I had forgotten something when I did my grocery shopping earlier in the day so I came to this Giant out of convenience. Giant Food - Florists Near Me - Towson, Maryland

A very nice Giant very close to me. There are some food smells placed in here but it's expected. The kind cashier girl let me keep my purchased groceries at the front in order to shop in the plaza. I like the international foods section where they have Goya products (I prefer the calamari in marinara) ! I also tried 2 ginger 'shots' (1 of which I tried while I was on the bench inside the Giant) while I was and they were very spicy ! ...But good lol. They also carry Rao's products! I happened upon a security guard inside the Giant and I confirmed he carried a gun (because I think I saw it as I walked in). It turns out he is an employee of a private security firm that won business with Giant and he is armed due to his private security firm 'allowance'? He said he also 'carried' all the time off of work. I was shocked that he was armed in Giant (a grocery store!) and said something of the sort. I think it 'overlord' to carry a gun in a grocery store. If this is the case across the country why are they possibly arresting, beating, shooting people maybe for 'stealing/shoplifting' a little bit of food or baby products! Maybe people have no money and need a little assistance while maintaining their freedom and maybe they have a brother who would pay the bill... all humans need to eat but first and foremost they need cash to live. I wonder if this armed security guard(s) have ever given cash to the homeless... anyway totally weird, Giant and security firm (company) ! They are scaring everyone! And they are not kind. Great that I am literally down the street from this market. Sad that they are not open 24 hours anymore. Camebto get a salad and a few items. Could not find the darn pickles since they keep moving them. They were in the deli area and you can never find any help to ask where things are. During this visit it was quite funny. We are suppose to maintain social distancing, amd the aisles are marked to help but as I was trying to check out there were only 2 checkouts with cashiers and about 5 to 6 self checkout stations. I prefer to checkout using a cashier and wanted to get out fast since I had icecream. Well I ended uo choosing the wrong one. Well while I was moving up in line, another cashier took the guy behind me. Here is where I had to chuckle, another guy didn't have a clue which line to stand in for the next cashier, but a lady was about to get in line in the newly opened line and the two went back and forth. Giant Food - a giant grocery store at night - Florists Near Me - Towson, Maryland

Well if stepping into a live construction zone is your idea of fun at the grocery store then by all means shop here. I literally had to duck under a ladder with wires everywhere to grab carrots and someone actually yelled at me at some point because I didn't notice a motorized construction vehicle headed across my path while I was walking back to my cart. I came here for a money order.Very quick process RIGHT!.... Naahhhh Went in no line but I had to wait 10 minutes while the cashier played the lottery numbers for another employee who was working .SUPER BLOWN !... We needed food and we needed it quickly so a restaurant was out of the question...thankfully Giant was close and we were able to stock up on some snacks and fruit before a 4 hour field hockey clinic over at Towson University. Service was good (a little slow, but whatever), prices were perfectly acceptable, parking lot wasn't a nightmare, produce was fresh (The fruit was ALL very good), and the store was easy to get around. We were in and out quickly and able to get some good food...instead of stopping at McDonald's. read more

Pretty nice sized place. Stopped in here prior to going to my hair dresser appointment. I was looking for the on the go creamer but, they did not have any. Store was not too busy. It was extra clean and the meats looked extra fresh. I went through the self check out so I can't really speak for the cashiers. I was in and out with no problem. read more

Giant Food - Storefront - Florists Near Me - Towson, Maryland

This grocery store is really sad. On a Saturday afternoon, this Giant had only 2 cashiers and the self-check-out. The line for self-checkout almost reached the rear of the store and and the cashiers lines almost reached the rear of the aisle. After seeing how long the self checkout was I decided to go to a cashier line, surly they see how long the lines were and would move rapidly. MISTAKE. The cashier I had was Ashley, she is literally scanning so slow customers in the line kept looking up trying to figure out why the line wasn't moving. It was because Ashley was scanning like she had nothing but time to kill. As she is scanning items, she keeps checking her nails, I guess to make sure she didn't break one doing her job. I am a patient person but this was ridiculous, I actually asked a woman to hold my spot and went to customer services and asked why isn't more staff with this huge crowd she claimed they had a lot of callouts, well it's either that or Giant is cutting cost in staff at the expense and time of their customers. I believe it's the latter, on many previous occasions I have literally walked in this Giant and walked back out due to extensive lines. When I finally did get to the cashier, the customer behind me asked Ashley was she new? Her Figuring that's why the line was so slow. Ashley's response "not really" Ashley had to keep ringing the bell for help, it would take about 5-7 minutes for support. This was done at least 6 times while I was in line combined with the 5-7 second delay scanning, I was in line almost an hour. Never again. With the high prices in this store you would think Giant would compensate with some quality service. It literally look like just herds of people waiting to be fed. Take your chances if you so choose but today was the last time I will step in that store. Shame on you Giant. read more

I think this might be the only 24 hour grocery store left in Towson. Even though it's 24 hours open they still keep the place really well. I happened to be one of those people who gone there at 3 AM because I can't sleep they normally don't have many people there but they have one register open and the self check out. This place is so convenient I'm really happy that a 24 hour grocery store still around great job giant. read more

Okay, seriously TERRIBLE customer service tonight from a woman with no name tag, but a facial tattoo and neck tattoo with a smattering of stars. The ice cream my husband picked out didn't scan at the self checkout. So the lady tells him he's scanning it wrong. He needs to put it on the belt after he scans it. he replies that is exactly what he did. And then she gets all exasperated and scans it. And it STILL doesn't scan. So he says, "See? I wasn't trying to be a smart ass." And she says, "I just ignore some things." He WAS NOT being a smart ass. So she starts asking us what the price was, and is it this weeks sale or last weeks sale... How the heck should we know?!,? So I say "I'll go find out." My husband thanked me. And when I couldn't find a date on the sale sticker, I returned and told her. With that she rings it up at $5.49, adds the tax, says "there's tax on that." And walks away. My issue with this is the following: The bar code didn't work on the product. You accused my husband of being inept. You implied he had an attitude (which he never does) and then failed to acknowledge that he was RIGHT and COMPETENT, and in fact it was your store's faulty system to blame. You let me, the customer, leave the check out to go look up something you later were able to do right where we were. You had your name tag hidden, and a terrible attitude. You should NOT work in customer service. Even overnight. Normally, that behavior would have made me walk out right then and there, leaving all 2 of our items behind, but I was exhausted after my 8 hour work day which was immediately followed by working at a fundraiser on my feet on a concrete floor for another 7 hours. I was too tired for righteous indignation. That never happens! read more

If I could give no stars, I would. I came here because I am new in town and I really like Giant. However, there was only 1 cashier on. My ice cream was melted by the time I paid. I should have left my cart full of items and gone to another store. I have been a loyal shopper to Giant, but never again. I stopped in at 10 am on a Tuesday. Is 1 lane only a normal for you??? There were 4 people in line ahead of me. Several people in line behind. I stopped in today to see if I would come back here. Once again, only the 1 cashier. I wish I could give a zero star rating. The deli had expired food. I got pretty sick then looked at some of my groceries to determine what might have made me sick. I discovered the expiration date on three deli items had expiration fates on them f0that were expired at the time of purchase. I no longer shop at this store. read more

First of all the women managers have thee nastiest rude attitudes. They never speak they just walk right past as if your a new face they have never seen before. Oh and one more thing if white they will without hesitation speak with no problem but black you get nasty looks that's all get . I hope that there managers read this they need to trained look there new to the job. read more
